There is definitely a bug with the supply contracts, and I have more info on it. This is the scenario:
- Day 7.
- I have two supply contracts.
- 2 heroes in town, 2 heroes on the map

When I end the turn like this, neither contract works.

When I reload and put one of the heroes from the town garrison to the town entrance before ending my turn (it works for one of the two heroes, placing the other one out of the garrison has no effect), ONE of the two contracts works.

I cannot get both contracts to work.

I don't know if it's related but both heroes in town were there as a result of town gate. Related to this, I noticed that these heroes only learned new spells on day 1 (the spell pop-ups appear on day 1), although they were town gated on day 7.

There is a bug related to the creatures dwelling. when I visit a certain creature dwelling on the map, it gives me the wrong creature.
For example Faerie Tree which should give Pixies, is giving me 5 Imperial Griffins.

is this a normal behavior?

I just tried by removing all the maps, and just added the one that I wanted to play, and tested.
It works! Now the creatures dwelling give the correct creature.

AI turn while tabbing to windows

Hey there,

really great work so far! I really appreciate it!

Is there any way to make the AI's turn continue while alt tabbing to Windows? Is it possible for you to implement this? Or might there be a solution already?

Go to optoins -> video

Remove tick on "Full Screen" box
Add tick on "Stay Active" box

Now the AI will play while you are tabbed.
If you dont like the window mode just set the resolution fit your desktop resolution and you would not make a difference.

This would help immensely at the time of level up. Currently, when you must select a skill at level up, all you see can is the first picture and you cannot see the little skill tree on the second picture, which is crucial.

If you say you don't have time for it, I can do it if I can have the resource files to do the change.

Pretty good. I remember the icon from H6 that gave immunity to mind effects after attacking a unit which a few days ago gave me an idea for something similar in H5. To give immunity to hypnotize from the seducer to tier 1-2 of bloodrage, making it possible for orcish units to snap out of it if they get enough rage How balanced that will turn out remains to be seen.

I saw that but then I thought some parts of those text were either too verbose, or even redundant.

I think I can fit everything in for all skills, maybe by changing the font and editing some text for concision, which I would run by you.

Would you like me to give it a try?
I assume GIMP with DDS plugin would do the trick, right?

Making titans a melee-only unit while buffing call lightning was an interesting move as it turns them into more of a counter-engage unit i.e. first turn you call lighting into the enemy ranged units, second turn you start attacking enemy flyers/fast units that are attacking your army.

This obviously does affect Academy's ranged potential as they're now stuck with only 2 sources of consistent ranged damage - gremlin which are level 1 and scale like snow into late game and mages who are also a liability because of their attack, so you have to either not protect them or cast spells until turn 2-3+ when you clear the way for them to attack (and expose them).


Decreasing their initiative by an extra points ends up breaking them in my opinion though. You're effectively forcing players to ge an initiative mini-artifact or they can't use call lightning effectively; basically if you don't get an initiative artifact on them Academy ranged/anti-ranged effectiveness goes completely to snow.

And until you get an artifact (with initiative) on them you're left completely exposed again. You're stuck with a unit that has a single ranged attack but gets to use it after every other ranged unit all the time, so you're forced to either use titans to attack enemy ranged units or react to enemy melee units closing in. Titans can't do both obviously so you're weakening yourself in at least one area - either you depend on goblins and mages for ranged (this is bad) or you let golems/djinn/rakshasa alone deal with enemy melee units.

Storm Titans = ranged units.

Titans are for fighting factions with high initiative and speed (Emeralds, Red Dragons, Angels, Devils), that will block Titans before they can use their 1st ranged attack (assuming you aren't abusing initiative artis like every academy player would).

Gremlins are among the best creature stacks in the game, and really require just battle frenzy/amulet of bloody claw/unicorn bow to maximize.  Under Havez, they are THE most powerful creature stack in the game.  Gremlins have the highest possible initiative of any ranged creature (20+ with artis) and a non retaliatory ranged attack.  They attack first and wreck your best stack.  The only thing that can compete is a swift striker, sylvan army with emeralds/arcane archers (whoever goes first on the ATB bar wins).
