Definitely agreed about the Power of Speed too, and in fact I had a separate idea about it. Well, maybe I'll amend my proposal above:

3) Interchange "Power of Speed" (Offense) and "Aura of Swiftness" (Leadership) perks, except for the descriptions.

a) Power of Speed (now under Leadership) will now have a much better match with the icon, name, and description (+1 Speed).

b) Change Aura of Swiftness description to "increases army initiative by X%". This way the icon, name and description will match for it too.

These skills are fine, for fun/variation it is important to have the ability to play entirely without magic

@ThGryphn: No, your proposal is confusing since power of endurance will remain a magic skill and thus so will power of speed

The combat mastery levels primarily boost retaliation so preparation fits already.

Well, my proposal is to get rid of power of endurance and convert power of speed into a non-magic perk...

I don't agree with the fun/variation aspect of having a mass spell at advanced level being learned by a might hero. I mean, it just doesn't sound right. Instead of magic, if we can get similar benefits as a perk (+speed, +initiative, etc), that suits better with the spirit IMO.

Anyways, was my 2 pennies worth...

Regarding Power of Speed and Power of Endurance.

They are not even that strong. They barely last 2 turns when playing heavy might hero + the  hero spends 0.90 of the turn (per the new mass spell requirements).

@Magno makes a good point regarding Combat where combat further strengthen "preparation". Basically Without Combat and defense preparation is completely worthless for some races due to their glass units.

p.s.

I think there is a bug, either in the Legion artefacts or Calh specialization system.

On day 7 i have 1980 Familiars.
On day 1 I have 2053 Familiars.

Calh is level 34 and he gets 0.6*34 = 20.4 ~ 20 Familiars per week.
Calh has tier 1 legion artifact and 17 knowledge + 17 more familiars.
This is for total of 37 familars.

But 2053 - 1980 = 67 familiars, so something is not right...

Yes. I got 5 towns, 3 of them Inferno.

Another thing.

My hero has the swift mind perk and sometimes his turn comes before my cerberi who has 14 initiative due to some artifacts. How come is that?

Belisarius recently it is quiet from my side cause I am playing one huge game...

Triangle map 1vs1vs1 on LAN.

We just reached month 6 week 1 day 1.
The game is Inferno vs Dungeon vs Necropolis.
I am playing inferno  Might and got 6 castles.
Dungeon player is Magic and has 6 castles.
Necro player is Magic and has 4(or 5?) castles.

I build a grail 3 weeks ago.
Game is pretty intense and micro management takes quite some toll on the time of the game. I got my sixth castle a week ago.
4 of this 6 are Inferno now.

As far as my intel goes the Necromancer is lvl 34 and has 11 attack, 27 defense, 45 spellwpoer 30 knowledge. He is going to hit me with -7 moral ( i guess -6 from artifacts and -1 from banshee howl), expert dark and summoning. He is mostly raising Ghosts and vampires with the necro points. Necro hero is Raven, specialization Souhunter (ghosts are raised for each killed enemy stack).

Dungeon hero is lvl 36, stats are 24 attack, 15 defense, 57 spellpower and 33 knowledge Dark + summoning. Main hero is Kastore specialization Master of Elements (elementals are raised for each friendly killed stack).

My hero is lvl 34 stats are 43 Attack, 21 defense, 13 spellpower, 17 knowledge.

Hero spec is Imp breeder (imps join per week, count equals to 0.6 of hero level +75% for each additional native castle) and I already got about 2.2k familiars and they are growing fast!

Military strength is this:

Dungeon > Inferno > Necro.

Dungeon leads cause he found 2 lvl 6 legion artfacts early game so he has about 240 tier 6 against 160 of mine, he also has bigger hydra numbers than my nightmares (350 vs 280) I am leading with the rest.

Economy:

Inferno > Dungeon > Necro

20 k vs 18 k vs 12k

The tear of Asha gives me advantage here.

My blind spot is dark cause I dont have shatter available so they are going to exploit it. As far as my strategy goes I will keep it secret for now but stay tuned!

I will make sure I have all the details at the end for statistical and design purposes .

P.S. One very big question arose while playing the game.

What will happen in PvP battle Raven VS Kastore when Kastore stack dies. Which specialization is going to work? Kastore or Raven?

This suggests they're useless skills, which does not bode well with MMH5.5 philosophy...

This suggests (and I don't agree) that the Preparation skill is a must have, which again does not bode well with what MMH5.5 set out to achieve with skills.



I'm still behind my proposal but if magno says that a perk like "+5 to hero level when attacking" is not possible (while similar perks exist), I'll take him for his word. Without the source code, hands are tied, I know...

If something else is possible though about the points I made (especially re. replacing the "power of ..." perks with non-magic alternatives), I'm just inviting magno to give another thought

On second look, I realize I misread his comments on Preparation-Combat. Sorry, dredknight

Btw, it's totally fine with the current perks, but in an ideal world, I would do what I said. Alas, it is not... To confess, I sometimes nitpick on details, but then again I don't think MMH5.5 would be what it is now without nitpicking on details

Take in mind all perks of leadership and combat are intended to be available exclusively to might classes, while attack and defense are available to all classes. That's why I would never move preparation or aura of swiftness.
