@dredknight: in RC8 elemental summoning has new cap per player, but I'm not sure that's what you're asking.

Was this 6 towns of same faction?
how many heroes with how many shatter skills?

6 castles - all native.
10 shatter skills, he got 48 elementals per castle.

Well the battle was hilarious I don't think I have ever seen such a large scale pvp battle before. but I didn't see anything that worried me, in RC8 the amount is capped at 30 elementals per town.

One guy from the Russian forum reported one campaign bug.
the first mission on the second  Tote campaign the player have to kill 2 stack of dragons to complete the mission.

The problem is that at the time you kill one of the stacks the AI hero kills the other.

I know this is best effort so it is up to you if it can be fixed or not .

sounds like a hard to fix bug, since the QAI may not listen to a certain script command, it may be fixed however by playing this mission with the MMH55_Utility.exe

Hi
I just tried the mod for a little. It's very nice even though I kind of miss the ultimate abilities. Just one Question, why isn't Markal a ncro Hero or at least starts with necromancy? He just doesn't feel like Markal at all with out it.

Instead of unholy crusade, all and only classes of the necro faction could receive avatar of death spell-perk.
Spell would be half the power of equivalent summoned phoenix.

Summoned Phoenix stats in HoMM5.5:

Phoenix Attack : 4 + 1*Spellpower + 1*Hero_Level
Phoenix Defense : 4 + 1*Spellpower + 1*Hero_Level
Phoenix Min Damage : 10*Spellpower
Phoenix Max Damage : 15*Spellpower
Phoenix Hit Points : 160 + 30*Spellpower + 20*Knowledge
Phoenix Initiative : 12 + 0.1*Spellpower + 0.1*Hero_Level
Phoenix Speed : 6 + 0.1*Spellpower

Effective spellpower depends on Summoning Mastery level:
- None : 25%*Spellpower
- Basic : 33%*Spellpower
- Advanced : 50%*Spellpower
- Expert : 100%*Spellpower
Mana requirement is 32

If Hero is level 10, SP is 10, KN is 10, and has Expert Summonig, Summoned Phoenix effective stats are:
A 24
D 24
Dam 100 – 150
Health 660
Ini 14
Speed 7




Avatar of Death stats would be:

AoD Attack : 2 + 0.5*Spellpower + 0.5*Hero_Level
AoD Defense : 2 + 0.5*Spellpower + 0.5*Hero_Level
AoD Min Damage : 5*Spellpower
AoD Max Damage : 8*Spellpower
AoD Hit Points : 80 + 15*Spellpower + 10*Knowledge
AoD Initiative : 6 + 0.05*Spellpower + 0.05*Hero_Level
AoD Speed : 3 + 0.05*Spellpower

Effective spellpower would depend on Necromancy Mastery level, however, since it would be final High perk, only option is Expert Necromancy, and that is 100%*Spellpower.

If Hero is level 10, SP is 10, KN is 10, and has Expert Necromancy, Avatar of Death effective stats would be:

A 12
D 12
Dam 50 – 80
Health 330
Ini 7
Speed 4

In addition, the Avatar of Death would gain abilities depending on the hero's level:
» Level 1: Undead, Flyer, Large Creature
» Level 8: Cursing Attack
» Level 11: Incorporeal
» Level 13: Death Stare
» Level 16: Sorrow Strike
» Level 21: Life Drain

The Avatar of Death looks like a Spectral Dragon, but is considered a tier 8 creature. Summoning it would cost 1*Hero_Level Mana. If it dies in combat, it can't be summoned for the next two days and the hero loses all his Mana (in affected combat and after the combat I presume, but can refill on eldritch well or use dark ritual after the combat).

Also, to popularize usage of Governors, would it be possible to give Governors ability to strengthen city walls by additional 50 points?

Yes, indeed. However, it means that now there are only two Dark spells that allow to disable enemy stack (Blind and PM) and Frenzy is almost useless (well... maybe when cast on Hydrea surrounded by enemy...).

Bug reporting: Distract is not working.
I just saw a real PvP game where 2 players play against each other.
Both have sorcery and one of them has Distract.

It was not working.
The only changes that happened that moved places of both heroes was because of mass spell casting.

Actually this is another interation of the battle I have sent you so you can take a look that replay. The Sylvan hero has Distract.

RC8 changelog said: "Angel wings are balanced vs other ultimate items and also give +2 Luck & morale."
Angel wings description in file in text_game_artifacts folder said only: "Grants hero the ability to fly over terrain."

Shield of the Dwarven Kings: "Adds +5 to hero's defense and renders all creatures in hero's army immune to Frenzy spell."
Ok, but Frenzy spell is now casts to friendly unit.

Alright may be the change was so slight we couldnt see it.
Anyway more issues to cover.

It seems (at list on plain look) that defense works different than it is written.

here are the examples:

Sylvan dragon against shadow dragon when dungeon has Expert defense.



Sylvan dragon against shadow dragon when dungeon has no defense skill at all.



This is straight 50% reduction in damage (RC7a footage).
There is a huge difference in battle results if defense is picked or not. Why is that happening?

Also the "elemental" effect is out of hand.
We had a case where 1.5k blood furies hit 800 unicorns (which are +1 attack/defense per 2 hero levels because of specialization) they kill 8 with normal damage and another 80 because of elemental damage effect...

I have seen shadow witch do 22k damage a hit + 11k as elemental bonus.

What the heck is happening here?
I have abatch of 7-8 replays I will upload later. I have not watched them myself but they may provide good feedback.

Just for the fun here is another pic which shows what channeling does xD.



P.S.
Heroes are druid lvl 39 and dungeon lvl 38.

It's not a 50% reduction, it is probably a 27.5% rating applied after the AD calculation, you try to delve into this without even mentioning those numbers?

elemental dmg ignores defense that's obvious.
