@ThGryphn: I'm certainly interested in that, I actually once made some plan for it but dropped it because I moved on to other stuff.

I wanted to have a small extra button (or buttons) in the creature hirescreen that offered an equivalent of the H3 overview screen:



For H5 showing the upgrades next to each other would be more important than being able to see the ununpgraded units (just guessing there might be lack of space). Also it doesn't need to show the town buildings ofc.

Alright then, let's do it

My tentative plan was to have a full info page for each creature, including stats, abilities and any spells... I hadn't thought of side by side comparison of upgrades... Let me see how I can do it. I think a full info page is valuable, and so is a comparison page. I might be able to pull both off. Extra work but what the heck

I think to prevent excessive amount of text it is probably best to list the names of the abilities and add the explanatory text in tooltips like with the skillwheel skill descriptions.

Optimally abilities are listed next to each other like this:

haven tier 3

Large Shield  --  Large Shield
Enraged       --  Enraged
Bash           --  Cleave
Shield Allies

This makes the tactical difference easier to spot.

I had already come to the same conclusion
Though that optimal list may prove hard to achieve... Or not. I'll have to see...

I've generated impossible with underground map with 8P-Ultima-Iu-(All#) template with seed that I’ve got by generating huge with underground map with 6P-Ultima-Hu-(HPASND).
I’ve copied the seed because 6P-Ultima-Hu-(HPASND) somehow managed to be generated with dungeon underground and maps based on 8P-Ultima-Iu-(All#) template somehow have very strong tendency to generate inferno or fortress underground.

So, by using that seed that I’ve got with 6P-Ultima-Hu-(HPASND), 8P-Ultima-Iu-(All#) template generated impossible with underground map, but, this time with dungeon underground.

So, the question is this, does the seed generated by the huge map template does any kind of reduction of resources, monsters or buildings if used in impossible map templates.

Creature Info Page

HO-HO-HO!... About that creature info page, I started working on something that might blow some minds
I hope I can get it finished by Christmas


@magno, I came across with a typo that may or may not affect the game: in 'Blackbear_Raider.xdb' under '/GameMechanics/Creature/Creatures/Dwarf/' inside MMH55-Index.pak, there is a misplaced backslash at the end of the line "<Item>ABILITY_ENRAGED</Item>"

I cannot test at the moment whether it actually affects the game but that backslash needs to go in any case

i play h5.5 rc8b now.
i got 4 parts of dragon set (+2 all stats if 4 of 8 items and +4 iff 8 of 8) and it dont give me +2 to all stats.
dont have any mods or changings in map, what wrong?

When you put the Set close the hero pane and open it again. Is there any change in the stats?

  Hello everyone! English isn't my native language so please bear with it..
  Me and my friend are new to this mod. We created ARMG map with utility.exe, and scripted it with reanimation patcher, then started a game(through utility.exe) with 2 Humans and 1 AI player. The game went on normally for a first week, but after a turn in which a human player did a first fight, the turns wouldn't continue. I was a host and it was shown to me that my friend is still making his turn even though he had ended it. To my friend it was shown that it was AI turn, but AI didnt start doing anything. And it freezed like that for ~5 minutes
  We tried out some things and understood that If a human player during that turn wouldnt have started the fight then the turns went normally further.
  We tried all the things listed in "MMH5.5: Preventing Issues in Multiplayer" apart from activating 8 skills prior starting the game. In utility.exe when you go to Hotseat>Stardard Mode there are double check boxes and i cant check them. We could check it(8 skills) through HOMM5.5 64 bit.exe, but the turns would still freeze (logical ,because you shouldnt be able to play with AI through HoMM5.5 64bit.exe).
  I'm hoping that you guys could help us fix this somehow

Hello zazuza!

I know this issue, it happens due to sesync in the game. Basically you can scratch this game as you cant fix it. In order not to happen in new game do the following things:

1. when creating random map do it from the map editor instead of Utility.exe Here is how to do it and activate scripts. No reanimation patcher needed.

2. After you generate the map make sure you clean the index.bin file and RMG TEMPLATE folder from <Heroes folder>/DATA.
This is mentioned in the Troubleshooting guide under 2.


Some other things that it is good to know is that when playing with Utility.exe 8th skill option is not available so disregard all the warnings about it. Utility.exe is traditional heroes V with six skills.
