Giving some thoughts on the last posts:

Growth: the BETA 2 setting is just perfect!
Not tested for small maps though. the big maps (impossible) are outrageous! I like them, real challenge.

Artifacts: I like that you get only small artis on starters and dwelling zones. It really make you think when fighting and picking up the 2-3 fights you are going to do this week - is it going to be a dwelling, resources/mines or that minor artifact which is really nice for my hero. Also great work with those little bonuses to the previously useless one!

I am currently playing EPIC map on PvP Sylvan vs Fortress and I am trying some amazing build. I will share with you battles and more info when we finish.

After that I will test this and the previous battle with the new INDEX.

Some thoughts on campaing. I am playing the will of asha - necro on heroic.

It took me a lot hours to beat mission 2. Main enemy hero was so strong I had to attack him with my 2 suicide heros (puppet master + 7 stacks of 30 skeletons) before I could kill him with my main...

Now mission 3. I bought every monster from the day 1. From town and from all small buildings on the map.

How am I supposed to defeat this:




I got full necro set also (which is the worst set ever, no enemy monster is gonna ever have bad moral, so the final effect is useless...)

In my opinion necros are the weakest of them all. These 175 champions could crush my whole army by themselves...

It's too early for that it has not yet been implemented and thoroughly tested.

According to my files, experience & resources and neutral stacks were actually a little more favorable to you then in TOE heroic. Technically that is a small bug i need to fix, but maybe I better not

Most important question, was this hero preset or did it build up all the way by herself to this and with how many towns? vs how many towns for you?

Also if morale is lowered from 5 to 3 it helps because now positive trigger chance is 30% instead of 50%

Please give Wulfstan a Ballista. In the missions, even though he has a Balliste related special, he would often go without the ballista for a long period, sometimes aquiring it only shortly before the end.

On a sidenote: Why do Engineers have such a high chance for leadership? They can't aquire the perk of letting War Machines aquire good morale ...

1. There is no frenzy in campaign only puppet.

2. First move of their hero is to cast magic immunity on the puppeted creature.

3. When I puppet paladins they cant even kill 100 grifins ^^

4. I builded him up from the start. With this:

-expert enl
-expert dark
-advance nec
-advance log
-advace luck
I also have swift mind

Mission 3 starts with 1 town for me and 3 towns for him. Mine town is empty and his are all max upgraded except for angels, he cant build that.
I managed to capture 2 of his towns and to keep him from buying more monsters. But its no use, he still has 1 more town and he is just moving from 1 to other town I captured and recapturing them.

I can finish mission by capturing his main town and automaticly winning which i did, but thats somehow not fair. I just wanno try defeat him somehow...

5. About moral I know that and that is good. But I was talking about final effect 4/4 set. That one that lower att and def by 20% if the bad moral is triggered. Normal army has 3/4 positive moral and with this necro set there is no way its gonna be negative. So final effect was always useless for me...

6. also Pendant of Mastery doesnt work. I tried even restarting the game

If it is 1 vs 3 towns I'm not surprised the QAI has made this mission significantly more difficult.

Retested, it works, scripted effects are visible after closing the artifact slot screen.

will look into this for campaigns, but in multiplayer: no

Maybe its bug in the campaign. Won't change stats for me

You can see red cursor on the map but I cant attack him. You can see him on the mini map. He is weak and is going to attack my town. Ones he triggers the battle i can defeat him but on the map i cant do anything to him Mission 4 necro.

No good. The map is like a line. And there are 4 towns on the line. So there is only 1 way for me to get to his town and vice versa. So he usualy kills my caravans or recaptures town in less then a week. Because of how the map is made, 80% of the time he has 2 towns at the end of the week. And there is no way he could be defeated with equal forces.

Just checked them all and there is no class named Warlord.
Basically every hero that can get leadership can get Prayer.

I personally think lorewise prayer should be disabled for Stronghold and Necromancers.

Not possible, but for stronghold not a big deal, tribes do pray, Necromancers a bit silly, although according to Erwan they are buddhists, so it should be renamed to meditation for them, unfortunately that is not possible either.

For some reason I suspected more than a typo

Looking through the map.xdb i cannot find an issue with deleb so far, the frenzy spell was activated btw, so bad luck you didn't get it.

Oh man... I had like 5 necro towns in the first 3 missions and i never got blindess or frenzy...

I think I can add them to start bonus options to make the difficulty more bearable.

Also you can make screenshots by PrintScreen, open paint ctrl+v

Thats ok, but I dont think it will change the output of the battles. Coz he is always gonna clear the spell from his monsters...

1. Can't. In game ss are always black in paint. win 8.1 64 bit.

2. I am too lazy to minimize the game to take ss and then to enter full screen again

3. Even with razers ss option in razer synapse software, it makes and automaticly saves black shots...

if you find only magic wands there must be something wrong, but probably just a random occurrence.

Not only wands but yesterday a lot of artifacts repeated. I also see a lot of them (overall), I remember in Heroes 3 artifacts were less often on map. Artifact should be rare IMHO - not one per quoter  map but not so often like now.

Yes for me it is waste of time for playing with poor stacks when having full army. Is there way to make quick combat via one click without having to go to the options?

For me personally Nival made weird things moving units from castles to other or changing units for castles - example Gargoyle's look in H5 is ridiculous, same to Nagas, called other in H5.

While having a magic hero it seems to me your current build lacks any measure to act more often than your might enemies.

If you ask a machine to generate random numbers between 1 and 10, it is possible it comes up with three times 5. This handicap cannot really be avoided in computer generated mapmaking. I already lowered the artifact density a little compared to the original generator, but couldn't go further because there wouldn't be enough monster placements in starting zones and generally the maps would become too empty. Duplicate crap should just be considered gold/exp, valuable artifacts are more rare. You can experiment with experience setting 4 in the ARMG to make maps with less but more valuable artifact placements, it does however not always work out well.

NWC did the same thing between H2/H3/H4, I once googled what gargoyles and rakhasas actually are and then it totally made sense this way and I'm very happy with them.
