both players must acitvate 8th skills every time.
- when they start new game.
- when they load new game
- actually every time when LAN game with 8th skills will be played and the EXE of the game is just started.

Never played 6 skills since this mod exists but in theory if noone activate it it should work. We can test this as well.

Next game we can go 6 skills + witch huts to see how it goes.

p.s. I will create a Visual DOs and DONT`S guide for LAN

well, that is obvious if you want to play with 8 skills.

It seems to me 8 skills is deactivated by default and in LAN falls back to this setting after reloading the game, but for 6 skills it shouldn't matter since then the setting will be deactivated all the time.

Sorry for my  english(I'm from belarus.and its not a russia!),but why in hot seat game some additions(witch huts with 2 perks for example on single game) does not work?
In addition after 10-14 weeks with AI (hot seat only) game h 5.5 crash durning the AI turns. I have installed RC2 and begin new game,but the problem has not been solved

Hi @sphericalhorse!

Which map do you play? Custom maps are not configured for MM5.5 game experience.

Regarding the crash - how big is the map you are playing and what is your PC configuration? Did you try to use the 64 bit exe (right on your desktop when you install the mod).


@Magno, the number of max hero skills is default game architecture setting. It is not kept in the save files because it is the same always (game architecture) - 6. I should have recalled this earlier... stupid me.. it is funny cause that was the first thing that popped in my mind when we first tested it some months ago.

Anyway the FB PvP section is updated with another "perk" regarding this bug. I also made a post so everyone is aware.

Regarding some bugs - we found out that some of the Legion artifacts do not work the hero that owns the artifact is from another faction than yours.

Basically this means that if Haven hero has the tier 2 artifact carrying archers he will have reinforcements at the beginning of the week. However this is not the case he has Academy Gargoyles (or any other tier 2 unit).

I think you forgot to activate scripts for multiplayer on newly generated ARMG map, this makes mod dysfunctional

320x320,with underground,random map. I have a weak PC. Intel core 2 duo e8400 3ghz,2GB RAM (DDR2) videocard geforce 8800  512MB and Win 7 32bit.

Use the program reanimation patcher in start menu

click patch maps, then select your map.

Can you explain more about the elemental summoning from shatters ? This thing is super interesting but very unclear for me. Does it depend on the on number of shatters that a hero posses or it depends on stats ? It would be nice to have a more in depth explanation.

The summoned amount depends on mage guild level and the amount of shatter skills, so it doubles up when you have 2.

I think you'd have to load up the game, and use game recording software to record the replay once you've loaded it up (I think the replay starts straight away, so you'd need to start recording just before you open the replay).

I have no experience with this at all. but if you have any trouble capturing you should try running game in windowed mode.

Here are two more replays - Academy VS fortress.

Academy hero - elementalist - Expert dark + expert Summoning + expert sorcery + expert occultism.  I got artifacts for -6 enemy morale.
Fortress hero - Runmage - Ultimate protection, He has no magic schools, all defense build.

Why did fortress constantly try to revive the vampirism rakshasa with their lives in game 2 ? Guess this lost them the battle.

Firstly, compare the stats - Academy hero has much much higher stats.
He grinded all good zones while the fortress went to get another castle -> no good artis there.

Second Fortress did not have any magic school (or any other offensive strengths) he bet purely on Protection + rune combo.

As you can see my units did significantly lower damage by a factor but academy exploited the weakness in magic. "all defense" is never a good tactics especially in H5.5 as there are so much variations of skills, magics and strategies that you can never protect from all. You need to have both - a sword and a shield.
