@Nordos, you are correct about those sites but have in mind that they are special ones for EXTRA challenge. They are not made just to go through them as the usual sawmill guardians.
The hero and his army need to be hard enough to withstand the quantity and flexible like a snake to adjust the enemy army seamlessly.

The special sites (boss battles) are the dragon utopia, the sunken temple (land+water), the corrupted mausoleum.
However the sylvan and academy sites can also be a little tougher because they have the best shooters. But in terms of creature power rating they are not stronger than others.

Its as Magno says. They are simply imcompatible with my strategies.
Especially since the Elves have extremly high Ini, giving them often enough the first strike against stalkers (which hurts a lot )
What about the Sheogh Building? The threat level is high, wouldn't it fall into such a Boss Dungeon as well? (though IMO it really isn't that much stronger ...)

I've just played the mod for an hour or so and let me tell you, old chaps, that I'm frankly astonished. It seems Heroes V is becoming greater every day, reaching our oldies out. Considering HOMM VII simply doesn't work and VI sucks, "Might and Magic Heroes V" (such a well-put irony, indeed, Mr. Magnomagus) is the actual present and future of the saga... with the possibility in mind of a moddable HOMM VII, in a year-old term or so, of course.
So, congrats on that!!

Magnomagus, sorry for being petty, but could you make a "lite" version of the mod, without any changes to skill system? Because while I greatly appreciate advanced AI, new artifacts and lots of graphical changes, I really do not like the lack of a proper Heroes V skillwheel.
Also, what do you think about RM mod? It does the only thing Heroes VII did right - mixed neutral armies. The devs are Russian, but if you like the idea and want to integrate it into MMH 5.5 - I will be glad to help with translation.

@Farfromgone, could you tell me how did the you manage to cope with the Cyrillic problem?
When I try to rewrite the mod in Bulgarian language the symbols just do not appear (blank space for every symbol) in the game. Do you know how did they adjust this problem on the russian forums?

I am not sure what do you mean. I use English version of the game (GOG) and I simply downloaded RM_v.3.zip and unpacked it into UserMODs. I didn't have any Cyrillic problem with it after, since I doubt it adds any text in the game at all.
Only trouble I found is that some campaign and other standart maps are using dynamic algorithm, which slows down even the most powerful PCs to a crawl. I already requested a fix on heroesworld, and I hope devs will be helpful.

The Advanced RMG already does a similar thing, but for custom maps this could be useful. I did however suffer major performance issues when using a similar function on neutral stacks. This mod also uses a script function the new AI source code doesn't understand.

31j AI and xuxo's graphic mod can be downloaded seperately, the AI will be weaker however because it lacks the scripted optimizations.
It is not possible to separate the class/skill/spell and artifact systems in a meaningful way because there are countless dependencies between them with regards to balance and functionality.
A skillwheel is just a way of presenting things visually.

I play with the fortress.
The next game will be the opposite - I will play with dungeon Might while my colleague will take fortress just to make sure he is wack and not the game balance .

Hello, I'm new to the forum and to the series. I've been playing through the campaigns on the base game, but I decided to check out this mod. I see that it's got the full set of campaigns included. Is it safe to copy my campaign.sav from the base game into this? I did a quick test, and it looks to be working, but I'd just like to be sure I won't run into any sort of issue down the line.
The mod looks really nice, btw!

You should be fine as long, as your save file is between the missions. If it is not - load it up and restart the mission you are currently it. Or don't - it just might work anyway.

For me it took ~18 minutes, so I guess you must have it by now
@Crixler:
Nice to see really new players are also interested in the mod. I would like to add that the campaign maps will only reveal a small amount of the new features compared to maps generated by the Advanced RMG

Bug: I'm unable to cast Word of Light when there are no demonic or undead creatures on the battlefield, even when there are orcs (according to the description of the spell it should work on orcs too, but it won't allow to cast it).

Well Actually I have tried multiple times, the download is very slow, and despite that, I kept the download going, and after a couple of hours, when I get to 80% of the download, the download is interrupted and I have to start it all over again :-(

You sure that your opponent doesnt have the 'Ring of the Unrepented'? Cause this one makes your troops immune to Word of Light
