Actually it is Yes and No at the same time.
the Coef (1.4) the higher it is the greater damage for magic heroes.
the SP bonus - the higher it is the lesser damage difference between Might and Magic heroes.

Formula may be flat but it is applied on constantly increasing value (frags) so you can consider it exponential. I did quite some more calcs behind the sheets yesterday.

I started thinking stupid, because thinking stupid will get you anywhere as you dont know anything (and you learn in the process of doing stuff).

So Lets say a stack kills one tier 7 unit. Roughly I take average tier 7 hp is 250.

So I decided that Expert Vengeance with Max SP will have to do as much damage as the kills are. So if a stack kills 1 tier 7 Vengeance will do 250 damage in return (basically lorewise this is what Vengeance should be).

But this approach reminded me that the more damage you do the more damage unit will take gradually.

So basically the current function is OK as it constantly goes down due to the root of the frags. The more kills you do the less the damage will increase so if you set the coeficients right the spell will never go above certain damage (having in mind that the army does not growth infinitely).

So basically a hero with 50 SP expert light and expert destruction.
- Implosion will do 2550 damage.
- with 1.4 coef and 40 bonus sp - vengeance will do that much damage roughly at 60th tier 7 kill
- with 4 coef and 8 sp bonus - same goal will be reached at somewhere before the 20th kill.

We will test now and let you know.

P.S. Update

Here is the Replay

Now Vengeance does 2.5-2.6K damage at his peak with 20+ sp.
I think it is OK for now.

One tier 7 kill increased the damge from 2583 to 2587 at some point (Check cosnequentive casts on hydras).

Keep it that way for now I will try high SP tests again.
There is resurrection testing as well.


P.S.2.

I met a very nice fella from Poland on the internet. He is not interested in helping the mod but we made a deal...  I will show him how to edit images for modding duel heroes... He will give me improved visuals for almost all faction creatures plus upgrades. See some pictures below.

And also the new statistics window  you see .

Hi Magno,
For easier translation,
I would like to request the editable  file that store the texts of the all the hero skills- I mean those texts in the pictures of skill tree and skill discriptions - I will use machine translation and the refine then.

Here is .doc file with collected skill txts and icons, however be aware some txts are outdated because there were a lot of 'on the fly' changes after beta1.

I just wanted to again reiterate how awesome this mod is, and thank you guys for answering my questions previously =)

I was wondering about exposure, though. Do you want more threads on Reddit? What about other places? It would probably be pretty easy to get more people interested!

Yes. the guy didnt made all the mods but has a nice collection of them (he sent me around 20). All of them are visual improvements of the game.
He has done a few of them and is a fan of doing more.

No problem I will do that.

here are some screens of other visual mods. On the following to you can see.
- improved hero avatar
- improved creature avatar
- increased camera angle
- added day and night settings

P.S. mistake we already have daily sky (the one Xuxo made that can be seen in waters) but still other additions are nice .

What about giving *Arantir the Fist instead of Animate Dead as starting spell, since he learns animate dead through his perk anyway...

I tried making option for day/night cycles, but it didn't seem posssible (only map based), however if you see it game based send me the files.

Camera is a user profile setting (so not really a mod).

Hello Olorin!
Thanks for asking!

Those changes are currently not implemented. Even if they are it will take some time.

First I need to gather them. Check them and sort them - which does what because they are currently in one folder without any description.

Then I will check them and pass them to Magno who have to evaluate them and give his opinion.

I think the biggest problem would be not to implement visual changes that are too radical compared to the base game.

I think you have a conflicting mod/user map installed overwriting the script files.

I tried a sky mod , and the sky background will slow down the game performance. If this new one does not have this problem, it will really be good.

And day and night turn is also appealing.

Hi Magno,

thanks for your sharing , it's very useful.

But there is no updated version of this doc file?

Something else, now the text in the game (except for the skills) have some problem, some description is not complete(some error still exist), for example in RC2a, the ability of arch devil mentioned it can summon pit lord from dead stack of friend unit. But the truth is that it can also summon from   dead stack of enemy unit as long as this unit is demon creature.

So will you revise those text first on the next release ?

So we can kick off the translation without playing through every new feature of this mod- that will take a long time...

Hi Magno, would you suggest if the black-colored text in the book of skill are exactly same as H5 TOE 3.1, the only changes are the red and green ones?

Do you have a book of artifact to introduce those new artifacts ?

And a data table of the changes made to the creatures?

How to make those translated text appear in the game skill page?


A another request highly suggested by fans:

When a hero levels up, we should be able  to see the descriptions of every skill in the game, not just limited to the four skills popped up. Because we want to look at other skills not popped up for good comparison and analysis and then there is a trade off.

So can you add a button in the leveling-up window so we can view description of any skill as we wish ?

That's the hard part, I just gave you the location of the background template, needed to rebuild the manual. However if Chinese generally takes less linespace than english you may be able to draw text boxes over the english manual and keep the icons.

In any case you require CAD software and the ability to use it.

Was my idea initially but the H5 UI doesn't allow placing a simple link button to the ingame manual. The whole thing would need to be recreated in another 'internal screen' +180MB.
