Well...
Fatal combination ?
How comes ?
Everyone nowadays has a strong character, because we are men, and we need to. It's all to protect your love, and you know what ?
If she doesn't need you anymore, leave her !
She just doesn't see your good side, she just thinks you're her toy. She just doesn't realise who you are. Sometimes, if that happens to you, going and thinking of your mistakes, and trying to correct the mistakes, to see what you made wrong, and think of someone you would know that would be your friend, or a close member of your group or something, can help. Yeah, I agree that if you REALLY suffer a pain, and you think you would die of it, you would better just look (try to know how less-desperate can you be while you can do something) after someone who could help.

If you do not know what I mean, then probably, you have not experienced the world in all its glory and all its horror, or at least do not have yet the bigger picture of the (real) world and its functions. In time, you will... Maybe I could explain that to you, but I would need to write a book for that, and at the moment, I do not have time for that. Sorry.

Oh, my sweet summer child... You have not yet met the jaws of life... One can have a strong character, but everyone has a limit, yes, even men. If mountains can be shattered and levelled to the ground, what makes you think that a fragile  human being can withstand the fury and ruthlessness of the world.

As for the rest of what you wrote, yes, love pangs can be difficult to bear, but I had something else in my mind. Something that you'll notice when you complete the initiation, that is, when you pass from the world of innocence into the world of experience. Enjoy your sweet life until then, and read William Blake.

EDIT: But then again, maybe we artists (or other very sensitive/emotional people) experience the world differently than the rest of the world. If that's the case, then maybe I should apologize for partial poetic mumbo jumbo of my post... Sorry.

Greetings Sleeping_Sun welcome to the thread.

I think that there is something very vital about people that is sometimes either not recognized or is forgotten in helpful discussion. Most folks understand people are different, therefore they have different needs (usually centered on different circumstance) but <imo> few really take the time to understand each person is also changing and are actually many people (so to speak) over time.

About being alone. There was a time in my life where I needed to go out into the woods and shut-up and listen. Man is a part of nature and it will soothe him/her at times. A waterfall strikes most folks as a sedative; we were meant to interact with our environment. Much later in life, I am often alone so I don't need the nature-trail for "space or stillness" but now I need it to replace my usual vista of the inside of a house.

About my getting out; it's a problem now. My pain is greatly enhanced by activity. In short I'm being forced to lie down more and more and we can all guess what that will lead too...my last lying down. A few years back , since I knew most of the pain would come after, I tried to gage my activity level and deal with the results but now? Heck even the walking to the unknown fun is difficult so I'm not bothering and trying to navigate the new circumstance, of my life is nearly all thought now. No more chopping wood, not building ore repairing things, walking the woods with a Staff I carved; no, I'm trying to share thoughts worthwhile to others. Some will care, some will not end of story.

No one has done a thing wrong in this thread, it's that text is a difficult medium that needs mastery to not cause problems when offering advice. [btw, a few folk enjoy word wars and there's nothing you can do about that but notice and resist] As a man from the stoned-age, I was forced to refine my sharing's by crafting the safest (often neutral) words. Usually, often, sometimes, are words that work wonders. "I've found", "in my case" and "this works for me" are some types of phrases that are not pointed and go a long way to avoid misunderstanding. In fact they are usually bridges to better understand someone else or to be better understood.

One of the most helpful sayings I found in my life is one I still live by; "Try to understand, more than be understood"

I suppose it is true to say that maxim helped me to write the OP, because planted in me years ago as a seed, it finally bore fruit.

Make it great!

Asperger's hinders me from easily understanding human emotions (Though people with aspergers tend to be very empathic and be good with animals) and the like and gives me a hard time to cope with social interactions. This together with my shyness and introversion means i practically shun new social contacts but It's light enough that i can easily work around it to be with already established friends which i enjoy very much.

Well, that's very similar to myself.

I was never actually diagnosed with Aspergers because in the late 80's/early 90's they'd rather just shove Ritalin into anybody different to zombify them into behaving (it backfired on them and made me hyper because of my different brain though). I really should pay to get diagnosed officially, maybe I could get a government job by claiming discrimination over my inability to learn French...

I had extreme introversion (to the point where I could not even call to order a pizza at one point. Fortunately I am much better now. Actually, my introversion made it very hard for me to pass job interviews for a long time earlier in my life) and have always dealt with an intense sense of self loathing. People would tell me I was smart, but I never believed them. I had a note written from a psychological evaluation that said so as well but I never believed it (the note also said that I respond poorly to negativity and criticism, imagine that).

I completely screwed myself over i high school. I did not believe in myself and even though I never studied in high school (absorbed everything in class, almost never used a calculator or wrote steps to math problems) I also never took my upper level math and science courses (HUGE mistake). Spent many years trying to find my niche. I live acceptably now working in IT after going back and forth between college and work for years. I have 3 kids, they all seem very bright but I have trouble teaching them as I would want to. My middle son barely talks but he is incredibly good at math, he started doing puzzles before he could walk steadily, can play several songs on the piano and has memorized the entire periodic table by name, symbol and atomic number all on his own. I just know I am going to fail him at some point :/

Ah, sorry to hijack the thread. It was just nice to see somebody who may understand.

I also have a cousin who is on the spectrum. As far as the sciences went he only likes biology (his father is a biologist as well), but he's dedicating his time to being a Starcraft 2 champion (actually, he is already one).

Don't have much to say about anything else. I'm still young, got a my diagnosis rather late. It is probably a good idea to get your child diagnosed as early as possible. Sounds like he has something in the spectrum and knowing early should be a great help.

You're not in the least. The OP boils down to one person helping another. I'd rather needs be met than we stayed between my starting lines. Hm...(medical needs)

Instead of if Pain was Purple I could just rename the thread to;

a. The wide world of medical exploration.
b. Journey to the middle of the human.
c. Or how about this number..er...letter? Everything you never wanted to know about what you never wanted to have.

Make it great!

Since I made a major decision concerning this thread, I need to end it as it...will end in life.

Again, this entire sharing has been for the benefit of people here and their friends and family...should they fight "A Dragon" now or later.

About three months ago my last dosage reduction in arthritic narcotic pain relief, also became toxic. Years back Fentanyl became poison NOT medicine and later plain old morphine followed suit. Note: Years back I did Morphine without "sulpate-buffer" but with the new stuff I eventually began having extreme Salty-Mouth
+ serious-nausia - more and more often. Thought: If a person must do a narcotic for incapacitating-pain...try to get only the natural morphine and stay clear of the new incarnations.

I detoxed cold-turkey for the 3rd time and thank God, even after 15 years of this adventure in ignorance...suffered zero side-affects.

How are things now? Very painful.

However, I have not given-up and am making efforts to reclaim some lost territory. I did major house repair & remodeling for decades, and thanks to that Rancoon's -invasion (you may remember that story) our front porch suffered some minor damage that over time became major.
Coupled with the age of the porch - a rebuild of the load-bearing sections of the porch are now underway.

So, my Princess (she is a fantastic wife and friend) are taking the project step-by step and doing "what I can" each day and remembering to "ease back-in".

How is it going?

We are "Fighting the good fight together" and it doesn't get better that that.

Unless I can be of some help to someone directly...This post, ends this thread.

Love, Joy and Peace to all, whether fighting Dragons or not.
