Go ahead and use me if you want. I can be the disillusioned-but-still-interested Heroes fan  (I was very optimistic about H6 and did loads of stuff in those days, but well, you know how that turned out

Hello again guys. The Spidercalypse (yes, it's a silly name, as intended) is upon us! Though in (sometimes small) parts. ^^
Disclaimer: I'm not native English speaker, so please do not react aggresively if you'll find any typos and mistakes. ^^
The Tale of Spidercalypse
It was year 2015. The great franchise of Might and/& Magic was expanding and growing bigger and bigger. After a terrible disaster which, thank marketing, didn’t end up as a Second Coming of H4, the company of Ubisoft has decided to do another Heroes – “for the fans and with the fans”. And truly, the expectations were high, especially after the reveal of brutish Haven and glorious Academy. But then a curse returned, even mightier than before. It was more or less tolerable during the short era of stillborn H6. As you might have guessed, I’m talking about the Spider symbol. And, actually, as long as it remained only a symbol, I had no problems with it. Even Namtarus were beautiful and powerful. But when the Necro campaign seemed once again been centered on Spider Cult, when Necropolis received Spider as a unit – oh, just a regular spider, I suspect even living one, - the Seal has broken.
The Four Riders returned to this world once again. These were the mightiest of Blood Heroes that the community ever had. Chivalrous sir Galaad, clad in golden armor, rode on his astonishing horse, wielding great lance capable of penetrating any obstacle. Lizard warrior, a mysterious wizard with talent for all mechanical things, sported a black vest of Plague Doctors, seemingly hiding his true reptilian face. Sempai Mur, mysterious warrior who wields both wisdom and sword, also fluent in many languages. And the one who was called “Energy Z”, whose hair was so spiky that I think a lightning hits him once-twice every two days.
They were Monkey, Lizard, Wasps and Mantis Riders respectively, each bearing a symbol of some natural enemies of Spiders. And so they appeared near the small town of Coldreign. It was there that I greeted them.
- Welcome, my dear Riders. I’m Sandro, the great lich of past and future; I believe many of you know me already. You were summoned to this world because the Seal has been broken: the Spiders have, in fact, conquered our beloved Necropolis and the whole of Ubisoft, I presume. The company even built a Church and every day a High priest serves there, surrounded by more spiders and the clergy. They even have their own military now, led by a knight clad in Spider-like armor. You must go there and vanquish this nest of arachnids!
- It would be no problem, my friend, - said brave Galaad. – For there’re no bounds for my lance and my tongue!
- I can simply mod them out, - added Lizard.
- Err, I forgot to tell you one thing, Riders. You’re all level one Heroes.
The look on their faces was worthy to become a masterpiece painting; sadly, there were no painters nearby.
- But we’re veteran fans, we have played nearly every part of Heroes series, RPGs as well, we’re so experienced…
- It doesn’t matter, - I replied. – This is a start of a new quest, new campaign. What, you don’t know traditions? Heheh, Riders, I’m surprised! Galaad, haven’t you noticed that you don’t have your mighty lance, that legendary artifact? Or that you wear copper armor instead of golden one?
- You snow…
- Even when fighting our Enemy, we should not forget about the traditions of our franchise, or else we will become the same as the Enemy. Sandro is right. – said wise Sempai.
- That’s also why, my Riders, you were teleported here and not directly to the Church. If you go straight for the Priest right now, he will just crush you. No, you should obey to the Rules of the Game. Solve quests, find allies, level up – and then, when you feel ready, go to the Enemy’s capitol and get rid of the Spiders who violate our great Necropolis faction.
- Any guidelines? – asked Energy Z.
- I will not accompany you – I’m too lazy and old for that kind of adventure. Or rather, I’m interested to see who will win in the end. You see, I like fair fight. But I won’t leave you without an advice. Seek the old hermit and bard, the one who denied the current High Spider Priest. You should also try to find the Old Gods, whose shrines are now left abandoned after the coming of Spiders. I sense that you will gain many allies, some of them unexpected. But do not forget that your enemy is also powerful – they have great numbers of “new” fans of the series, and even the support of some smart and strong old-timers. Try to not only push your way through, but also to talk with them, make them change sides. Find the right balance between old and new. And exterminate the Spider Cult of course. Now go!
And so the Riders set up on their path to find the allies who will help bring an end to the rule of the Spider. The Sandro Revolution has begun…
