The H6 lineup was better, though the hydra is a good addition. The slenderman looks particularly silly and out-of-place.

Assassin: This unit needs a complete re-design, it's horrible.
Stalker: The basic version looks good, the upgraded version is overdecorated.
Troglodyte: Basic version looks good, upgraded version is boring, bad colours.
Medusa: Looks good, for once not overdecorated (too much).
Minotaur: Looks pretty good, I prefer the colouring of the basic version, but upgraded is passable.
Strider: Boring, pointless.
Hydra: The basic version is excellent, I really dislike the upgraded version. A pity.
Dragon: As others have said ...

This is ****ing bad. Same assassins, same minos, same naga priestess, same dragon. Exact same copies as H6 wtf, this faction is ruined for me.

With models up i can give a little more thoughts. First of all, Shade: PFFHAAAAAAA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  The snow is that?! How could this be approved by ANYONE!? It's AWFUL! HILARIOUSLY bad in every way! How does this exist?!
Trog: Pretty good. Could've skipped the "turning to stone" bit but not bad.
Stalker: s' alright. Too much faff all over her but nothing too shabby. too much Elf but whatever.
Mino: Great. Both of them. Sorely missing "always positive morale" but what're you going to do? Joke animation makes me wish i was both gay and furry 
Strider: If you're gonna make it all weird n' snow, make the animations natural rather than just "ahea, gonna put my arm up for no reason, lel!" pretty bad in action in other words  . scrap.
Medusa: Better than anticipated. Still too small and in desperate need of a bow but good enough. Voting art was superior in almost every way. Colours are nice 
Hydra: HEIL HYDRA! Basic is pretty fantastic. Uppg. isn't terrible but definitely looks too much like a centipede rather than a snake. Change to Basic texture rather than this weird insect-carapace. Otherwise alright.
"Dragon": New wings and remove the stupid glow and it could maybe be the second worst in the franchise rather than absolute worst.

You can say this nearly about any faction in HoMM7, so it's not only Dungoen problem.
EDIT:
What's wrong with Shade? 
It's the same unit as in HoMM6 only less purple, so anyone is surprised by its model? Really?

For it is design, I am certain more would place the venom spawn from H4.
Anyway, is it better to have a new unit or more re-used ones? For if that Shield line-up won, we'd have manticore and lurker, both that appeared in previous game.

Thankfully, Stronghold doesn't have this problem. And while this might be accurate for the other factions, its not as bad as it is with Dungeon.
We literally got 1 new core (trog), 1 new elite(strider), and one new champ (Hydra). And I'm only talking about unit models.
Little to no effort was put into making this faction

Only speaking on design, and I find the monstrous venom spawns a great unit
But yea all three line ups had only room for one new model for each tier. If blade won, faceless woulda gotten reused and so would the lurker. They knew what kind of crap they were gonna pull from day one.

Hence why they went up against Inferno, where they could've reused just as (if not more) many models!

I have just heard some facts. Probably because it looks like a blob to them.
Of course, I value them for poisoning ranged attacks.

Maybe some units can deal Dark-type damage, similar to H6, but it is only improved by attack skill (since it is not magic attack and defense anymore)? Doubt they wouldn't put that without thinking properly, when it comes to abilities, at least.

Is it though? I asked him at the fan day event about it being his favorite (cause it was focused on stronghold) and he said no. He says he likes stronghold but that he likes the dark factions like necropolis and dungeon, then pointed out the fact he was wearing all black and made a silly emo remark.
