Favorite Dynasty Traits

Hello.

Before I start explore some new dynasty traits.

There is a few questions i want to ask:

- What is the limitation of dynasty traits?

- Which dynasty traits people actually use during the campaign and/or   skirmish?

Been ages since I played h6, but ones that lower building cost were all good(especially crystal was one I picked always). Free hero, extra gold/resources at start. Once you complete campaigns you unlock extra skills for each faction/campaign, those were good. Extra 10% gold-income was one I took always. Depends really how you play. If you want fast start take extra gold/resources/hero. For longer play take cheaper buildings, extra gold/turn, stat-boosts.

Those + 2 power and other stat boosts are ultimately quite small though. Growth bonuses are totally worthless.

And you are limited by how many "levels" you've opened/bought of the 5 dynasty-slots.

Only limitation for how many traits you buy to be "available" is your money/points and the number the total traits(meaning once you have them all, you have them all). Frankly probably half of the dynasty-traits were such garbage that you would never seriously use. And I don't think there is any limitation on how many heroes you can have. Only thing is that if you "buy" heroes, you can never take them off from the list.

If you unlocked all five Trait Slots, that's basically your only limitation. By completing campaigns and buying new Traits in the Altar of Wishes, you can increase your Traits-pool which allows you to select whatever Trait you think you need in a map. So if you begin the Necro campaign, you can give Anastasya 5 traits out of the ones you have at that moment. Like TD says, if you have them all, you have them all.

The trait I've come to love is Merchant. It basically acts as a powerful marketplace and reduces the cost of trading resources considerably. This a very helpful trait to quickly get buildings like Advanced Town Portal or upgraded dwellings. Futhermore, I often choose the trait boosting hero's land and sea movement. "Planeswalker" is also one that can come in handy, for it reduces the cost of movement points when you portal to or from a town, thus allowing you to better intercept an enemy if needed. The trait giving a boost to your Faction Skill points is one I often choose as well. The "Windrunner" trait, giving +1 movement to your creatures, is a good choice when you build tactics around Blazing Glories or Furies, units that have a lot of movement already.

If you don't like to lose troops during weak of Disease/Fever, the Medicin Man trait is your friend. It doesn't work for Week of Plague, though. And there are more that can be useful depending on the situation .
