Ubilimbic, fix those goddamn cutscenes!

And by that I mean animate them! Seriously, have you even seen them? They're horrible! HORRIBLE! The round table was... I don't even know what that was, actually. All I know is that I facepalmed my eyes out all the way through just so I couldn't see anything. Closeups of statues speaking without using their lips!

Here's the vod, moments at 00:12:55 and 01:27:45.

Let there be cringe! And there was aplenty. Get your cutscenes straight for crying out loud. Shipping that thing is an insult to customers.

I agree is a bad surprise but IMO is better if they rather focus on hero specializations like Natalka is trying to push for ATM.

They arent going to "fix" them. They are basically comics done using 3d models, to save budget i assume. Generally comic style moving illustrations are used so it doesnt come off as cheap (like Mortal Kombat 9/X endings) although Bayonetta did like half of the cutscenes in this style too (Bayonetta's looked miles and miles better ofc)

In resume, no they cant be "fixed"

Pretty much I don't have much an issue with it either. I don't think they can be "fixed" since I think those scenes were intended to be done that way.

So they chose the more "comic" type of style due to budget of course.

I was expecting that to be honest after heroes 6 with even less cut scenes compared to heroes 5 and replaced with just audio logs. I wont be even surprise if Heroes 8 dont have even audio logs just text. But wait what was i thinking they can't even keep the same voice actors for the characters for both heroes 5 and expansions and heroes 6 as well.

Ubisoft likes to save money here and there, and the fans think they will put that money elsewhere, where we want it. Na man, it's going straight in Ubi's pockets lol.

Lol in one review that was initially thought to be a glitch(the lack of animation)

I'm not even arguing at this point, those scenes are hideous without a doubt. Saving money on the department they spend most of the budget and delivering this is inexcusable.

Just remove the current horrific scenes and make handdrawn ones like in the campaigns. Will probably be cheaper and look much better.

True. I think this is the best way to solve that.

I think these cutscenes are great, very Franz Kafka-esque, you are all a bunch of negative nellies worshipping holy H3 with a bias against UBI and will never be satisfied no matter what our beneficent spider overlords do lol

What illogic is this? So much time was spent on campaigns, lore and story, all to have come to that?

Only Heroes IV did not have any animations and Heroes VII joins in. How odd.

so if I get this straight, they made highly detailed and good-looking models but don't even use them for anything but stills? seriously?

To be honest, it didn;t bother me as much. It felt more as the artwork cutscenes in the campaigns but with the pics in 3D. I found it kinda different but not that terrible.

I wouldn't mind them fixing it, but i wouldn;t like an end result like the Heroes VI cutscenes for example.

You don`t get it - its a Matrix-O-Comic style of animation!

I would rather watch some nice 2D/flash/hand-drawn animation than this..

The game has a very weird mix of cartoonish elements, realistic elements and artistic elements, making it a weird blend.
