The pre-order bonus includes exclusive portraits and artefacts. The four artefacts are listed in Natalka's thread about them. The portraits could either be the bonus, or you received those heroes after completing their campaigns, like in H6. There should be four portraits and four artefacts.

I thought Solmyr was a pre-order bonus. I remember thinking on the limit of time to get this bonus in particular.

It could be that they decided to include the pre-order bonus without a key to unlock them...but I don't know how  .

I just checked the editor and it seems I have access to those preorder artefacts without the need of an activation key or anything.

But Portraits ... where would you use them? It made sense in H6, where you could build your own Heroes, but in H7?
Also, I only finished the Academy and Stronghold campaigns so far, so I shouldn't have the Haven and Necropolis Heroes if finishing the campaign would unlock them .
Also, how and where would I be able to see if I have access to the Artifacts? Steyn mentioned the editor, but I haven't started that one up, yet .

The only confirmation of them being in-game is playing a skirmish map and then finding them on map. Otherwise, I have no idea how to prove that you have these.
PS. All the bonuses for Digital Deluxe Edition and preorders are available in the map editor for all the players who own the game (in case someone didn't know that.)

If you look in Uplay under the tab DLC you can see whether you have the content unlocked or not. The heroes seem indeed to be those Maurice listed.
