I just wish they would stop announcing and hype up their products like, way ahead of time.
Transparency can be a good thing but giving your devs enough time to make a functional product is more important.

I agree but as we all know even if h7 had been released in a functional state it doesn't save a dumbed-down game design targeting mainstream players which is an absurd move anyway since those don't even play TBS in the first place.

especially users(not meaning you) who feel the need to question whether or not they should GIVE UBISOFT MORE CASH FOR THEIR snow. not mentioning any names or anything... *cough HERRY cough*

True, though at least it would've spared them some 12 months of growing resentment and damage control.

Speaking of sparing, they couldn't even finish their goddamned website.

@Gryphs: It is not the tech tree like the one in Civilization 5.

They meant about the interlinking of the required buildings/dwellings in order to be allowed to build a higher level building/dwelling.

It should have been called: Requirement Network of Progression of Development of a Town(R.N.P.D.T.). Tech Tree must have been voted in by the social communications officers of the Publisher(Ubisoft).

I advise you to stop before I invoke Illuminati. I never bought the game. I only played it. There is a difference between buying and downloading, looking and seeing, catching and capturing, etc.

They are all pretty similar but have really big differences. You call people blind(Windows 10 thread) but you might just be one of them: A dog trying to bite his own tail.

Honorable
Legendary Hero
We don't need another 'eroes
posted March 09, 2016 11:54 PM bonus applied by Maurice on 10 Mar 2016.

The Vivendi Cycle (Fourth Cycle) began after Erwin was finally defeated, when his Ruling Reboot was destroyed, and the Keepers of the Three Banhammers left Heroes of Might and Magic for the Other Side of the Monitor.

The Void Cycle was held to have ended when the Three Banhammers passed away in March, 2016 A.D.

The Keepers of the Three Banhammers were those who held the Three Banhammers of Valreiy after their making, through more than 10 years of the Chaos and Void Cycles. Originally the three Keepers were Pandora, Mighty Mage, and Alcibiades. Pandora gave her Banhammer to Elvin and Mighty Mage gave his to Doomforge. At the end of the Void Cycle, when the Banhammers finally lost their power and were taken to the Other Side, the Keepers were Alcibiades, Elvin and Doomforge.

---

There was Corribus and many fair Moderator folk; and there to Maurice's wonder rode Elvin and Doomforge. Elvin wore a hood of Ezio grey and had a phoenix feather upon his lapel, and the last silver coin in Greece was in his hand, and in his other was a hammer of gold with a great blue flame, most ominpresent of the Three. But Doomforge sat upon a white deckchair and was robed all in glimmering black, like smoke about the Sun; for he himself seemed to stand out as a soft silhouette. In his hand was Banya, the hammer wrought of sulfur, that bore a single white flame flickering like Jeremiah Emo's racial preference. Riding slowly behind in a small grey jalopy, and seeming to nod in his sleep, was THe HyDrA himself.

Elvin greeted them gravely and graciously, and Doomforge smiled upon them. "Well, Master Maurice," he said. "I hear and see that you have used my gift well. The Community shall now be more than ever blessed and beloved." Maurice bowed, but found nothing to say. He had forgotten how imposing the Anthropomorphic Forge was.

Then THe HyDrA woke up and opened his eyes. "Hullo, Storm-Giant!" he said. "Well, I have passed Angelspit today! So that's settled. And now I think I am quite ready to go on another penalty spree. Are you coming?"

"Yes, I am coming," said Storm-Giant. "The Reboot-bearers should go together."

"Where are you going, News Poster?" cried Maurice, though at last he understood what was happening.

‘To the Other Side, Maurice," said Storm-Giant.

"And I can't come."

"No, Maurice. Not yet anyway, not further than the Screen. Though you too were a Responsible Hero, if only for a little while. Your time may come. Do not be too sad, Maurice. You cannot be always one and whole. You will have to be torn in two, for many years. You have so much to delete and to ban, and to do."

"But," said Maurice, and tears started in his mustache, "I thought you were going to suffer the Community, too. For years and years, despite all you have done."

"So I thought too, once. But I have been too deeply hurt, Maurice. I tried to save the Community, and it has been saved, but not for me. It must often be so, Maurice, when someone is wrong on the Internet: some one has to give the arguments up, lose them, so that others may win them. But you are my heir: all that I had and might have had I leave to you. And also you have that frenetic basterd Galaad, and the caustic asshat Verriker; and reckless LizardWarrior-lad will continue, and volatile Stevie-lass, and anarchist fred79, and fascist Neraus, and simpleton Luc J Patenaude; and many more of those cretins that I cannot be bothered to list. Your wits and your penalties will be needed everywhere. You will be the Moderator, of course, as long as you want to be, and the most famous Reasonable Steward of Good Game Design in history; and you will read things out of the Code of Conduct, and keep suppressed the memory of the age that is gone, so that nobody will remember Erwin's Craptastic 'Games' and so love their beloved forum all the more. And that will keep you as busy and as happy as anyone can be, as long as your part of the Heroes Saga goes on.

"Come now, moderate with me!"

Then Elvin and Doomforge demoderated on; for the Void Cycle was over, and the Days of the Reboot were passed, and an end was come of the story and song of those times. With them went many Fans of the First Five Games who would no longer stay in Heroes of Might and Magic; and among them, filled with a sadness that was yet blessed and without bitterness, rode Maurice, and Storm-Giant, and THe HyDrA, and the Fans delighted to honour them.

Though they moderated through the midst of the Community all the evening and all the night, none saw them pass, save the wild creatures; or here and there some lurker in the who's online list who saw a swift "mod squad business" under the location parameter, or a +QP and penalty flowing through the site as the Moon went westward. And when they had passed from the Community, going about the south skirts of the Turban Tribunal, they came to the Volcanic Wastelands, and to the Tavern of the Rising Sun, and looked on the distant Void; and so they rode down at last to Altar of Wishes, to the Library of Enlightenment in the inactive subfora of HC.

As they came to the Dimension Gates angelito the Librarian came forth to greet them. Very tall he was, and his beard was long, and he was grey and old, save that his eyes were keen as stars; and he looked at them and bowed, and said: "All is now ready."

Then angelito led them to the Other Side, and there was a white monolith one-way lying, and upon the dais beside a great grey bicycle stood a figure blazing gold and orange awaiting them. As he turned and came towards them Storm-Giant saw that Alcibiades now held openly within his draconic hand the Third Banhammer, Donut the Great, and the stone upon it was red as fire. Then those who were to go were glad, for they knew that Alcibiades also would take monolith one-way with them.

But Maurice was now sorrowful at heart, and it seemed to him that if the parting would be bitter, more grievous still would be the long road home alone. But even as they stood there, and the Fans were going aboard, and all was being made ready to depart, up rode Kiryu133 and Brukernavn in great haste. And amid her tears Kiryu133 laughed.

"You tried to give us the slip once before and failed, Storm-Giant," he said. "This time you have nearly succeeded, but you have failed again. It was not Maurice, though, that gave you away this time, but Alcibiades himself!"

"Yes," said Alcibiades; "for it will be better to moderate back three together than one alone. Well, here at last, dear friends, on the timeless edge of the Void comes the end of our fellowship in Heroes of Might and Magic. Go in peace! I will not say: do not weep; for not all tears are an Erwin."

Then Storm-Giant saluted Brukernavn and Kiryu133, and last of all Maurice, and went aboard; and the monolith one-way was powered up, and the portal grew, and slowly the energy slipped away down the long grey distance; and the light of the +QPs of Valreiy that Storm-Giant bore glimmered and was lost. And the energy went out into the Black Void and passed on beyond the Monitor, until at last on a night of rain Storm-Giant smelled sweet oxygen in the air and heard the sound of tangible human beings that came over the water. And then it seemed to him that as in his dream in the house of Jon Van Caneghem, the grey rain-curtain turned all to silver glass and was rolled back, and he beheld white shores and beyond them a far green country under a swift sunrise.

But to Maurice the evening deepened to darkness as he stood at the Monolith; and as he looked at the black void he saw only a shadow in the stars that was soon lost in the Internet. There still he stood far into the night, hearing only the sigh and murmur of the real lives on the shores of Heroes of Might and Magic, and the sound of them sank deep into his mustached heart. Beside him stood Brukernavn and Kiryu133, and they were silent.

At last the three companions turned away, and never again looking back they rode slowly homewards; and they spoke no word to one another until they came back to the Community. But each had great comfort in his/her/its friends on the long grey road.

At last they rode over the downs and took the Celestial Heavens Road, and then Brukernavn and Kiryu133 rode on to the Mod Squad Headquarters; and already they were typing again as they went. But Maurice turned to the Tournament of Honor, and so came back up the Homepage, as day was ending once more. And he went on, but there was green light, and flamewars within; and the evening spam was ready, and he was expected. And the members drew him in, and set him in his chair, and put Erwin's miraculously greenlit dwarven expansion pack for Heroes 7 upon his lap.

He drew a deep breath. "Well, back to this ****," he said.

Actually, it was the second. My first one was for Alcibiades in the H6 forum, for the massive news compilation he made back in the days. He was a moderator back then so couldn't be awarded one. I made up for that earlier today .

Edit: I still have to go through the H6 forum in more detail. I'm guessing there are some more posts by former moderators that are worthy of a QP.

It was fun . Felt good to give someone appreciation for the work they've done. Now I just have to make sure I don't overdo it, hehe.

But let's not go offtopic too much . It's about the downfall of the Heroes series, not the HC moderators .
