Question regarding skillspecialists

The best heroes of Heroes 3 are often the ones specialising in a certain skill like Logistics, Offense or Intelligence. But does anyone know if there is a cap on how far they can go with their skills? I mean Necromancy is maxed out at 100%, Eagle Eye is 100% at level 14. But what about Offense for example, it's 60% at level 20, 90% at level 40, but can it even go beyond 100%?
I know level 40+ is very high, but then take Intelligence or Navigation instead with 100% and 150% to the skill.
Since you can reach 100% and even beyond for certain skills, it's no wonder that these are the most powerful heroes.
Would make sense if there was a cap at double the original skill effect at expert level, but I guess only Necromancy and Eagle Eye are capped?

Offense and Armorer specialists are really the best. Again, the skills are not really balance, but the game is fun and not impossible to play even so.

Just wanted to know if there are caps on other skills than Necromancy and Eagle Eye, but I guess not.

What about you open Google, type "Heroes 3 offense cap", for example, then it will send you back here, to the appropriate thread where you will get your infos.

The entire thing is quite complex and there is a thread (even several) covering the whole aspect of skills cap. Why would anyone restart explaining you when the thing doing that is in same forum?

Okay I found an old thread by Angelito from 2004 titled "How do the offence and armorer skills work exactly?" guess I'll read that.
But what I was looking for was really just a yes or no.

There is no cap per say, except when over 100% makes no sense, like necromancy or eagle eye. If the level goes to infinity, speciality bonus does so as well.

But obviously level can't tend to infinity, and the game behaves weirdly when you get closer and closer to overflow of experience of a hero. So there is some cap imposed by limitation of the program itself.

Okay, but getting +300% or +400% to a skill seems kinda insane.
At least we know who the most powerful heroes are, but I guess we've known that for a looong time.

I tend to find % increase isn't as good as % decrease when you get to high levels. 50% decrease is symmetrical to 100% increase.. 90% decrease requires 900% increase, add only 5% decrease and you'll need 1900% increase... 4% more decrease and you need 9900% increase, and if you were to get at 100% decrease, with orb of inhibition, and a single troll/wight/wraith..

So for a normal game, I find offense spec. better, as it gives better creeping and final battle advantages (+hack naturally tends to get more +attack), while if you were to get to really high levels, I imagine armorer spec. would be better for the final battle.

The cap for (Estates, Logistics, Offense, creature specialties, etc) is determined by the maximum stable level in game, 6424. Otherwise it caps at 100% (e.g. armorer).

well, there is a softcap on lots of skills if you think about it:

anything damagerelated cant make more dmg then there is to suck it^^

I've once seen Armorer reduce damage by more than 100% in Quick Combat in a map made by Aeris Quamarine. And I seem to remember seeing a hero level higher than 6424 (also in his map), but I'm not 100% sure about this one.

What do you mean 'more than 100%'? Units were healed? Units were added in the end?

After battle (fought in quick combat) I had more units (Energy Elementals) than before the battle. It was on this map.
