"On it", Alex responded before hanging up. He grabbed the flash drive and went to the restaurant.

Once there, he order some coffee, and handed the flash drive over to Shaman.

"There ya go."

- Things sure had changed around here- Shaman noticed. The few of the gangster types hanging out in the restaurant were not of the typical run down tracksuit wearing dumbass with a short haircut. These people had a military wibe to them. All of them were about Vlad's age however, but that didn't mean they were less dangerous. All of these russians must've been Afghanistan veterans.
- I haven't eaten today, have you?- Shaman asked Alex as he browsed the menu. Shaman eventually settled with buckwheat porridge with bacon for a starter, and the signature "babushka's dumplings" as a main course, followed with meat stuffed pirozhki. And a nice big glass of black tea.
As soon as Shaman finished ordering, they were approached by Lev. The underboss was carrying a bottle of expensive vodka and three glasses. He sat by them.
- So, you say you have something that might interest us?- Lev said while opening the bottle.
- Yes we do Tolstoy. This little flash drive has the information on one of the weapon caches hidden away by late Lioshenka. From what My intel had gathered, it's a pretty large one too.- Shaman accepted the whiskey glass of vodka before him.
- Indeed. Name your price.
- Hundred. Cash.
- It's a bit high don't you think?
- Considering that the cache is full of state of the art weapons, I say we are giving you a bargain. We could've taken it for ourselves.
- Yes, I suppose so.- Lev replied. He seemed thinking for a moment.- Allright, you got yourselves a deal. A hundred grand, cash. What sort of weapons?
- Western ones. SCARs for the most part. No high end explosives or anti tank missiles. There are also several .50 cal rifles as well. Liosha was planning something big, probably take out the others in the Commission. We had traced his work with the albanians, and few other small timers, mostly drugs from Kyrgyzstan. He was planning his own little revolution here.
- I see, Thank you for informing us on this matter- Lev gestured to one of the gangsters. Lev whispered something in his ear. The ganger was back in a few moments with a little package. Lev passed the package to Shaman. He in turn handed the flash drive to Lev.
- Well, Let us drink to a deal done- Lev said as he raised his glass. Shaman and Alex did the same. The vodka went down smoothly. Lev had refilled the glasses for seconds.
- Tell me Tolstoy- Shaman began while eating some of the porridge he got served- Just who you guys are, or were? You don't seem like the crowd of drunk dirtbags that Lioshenka used to employ.
- You're right. We're not. Our leader was a high ranking officer of the Red Army during the war in Afghanistan. Our unit, as many other good soldiers were betrayed by our government. Most had turn to alcohol abuse or worse, but we endured. We tackled the criminal underworld and established an order amongst those who had purchased the rank of a thief-in-law. Even the former KGB fear us.
- That is good to hear Tolstoy. I have some unfinished business with the KGB myself- Shaman said.
- Why do you keep calling me Tolstoy?- Lev had asked.
- Would you like if I called you Trotsky instead?- Shaman smiled. Lev did not said a word. Shaman had a habit of creating nicknames for people, and once he made one, he usually addressed the man or woman by the nickname he conceived.
- No... You can address me by the writers name if you like- Lev remained diplomatic.
The deal did not went any longer. Shaman had finished his meal, payed the bill and said goodbye to Alex, reminding him that' he'll get a call if something comes up.

Shaman was at the PMC HQ along with Vlad and they were testing out the car stereo that Shaman bought for his custom UAZ. The japs delivered on this one too. The brand new stereo worked flawlessly.
Shaman had received a call. He turned down the metal music that was playing on his car, and answered the phone.
- Yes Valeria Petrova? Calm down. Who's missing? Your niece? Supposed to come to visit you today from Moscow? Calm down Valeria Petrova. Everything's going to be fine. I'll come over to you with my colleague, you can tell us more about it. We'll be here soon.
Shaman sighed.
- Allright Vlad, let's go. I somehow got the feeling this is just the tip of the iceberg.- He said as he started the car's engine.
While driving back home, Shaman got another call, this time from Lev. Shaman answered it via the hands free system.
- Hows it going Tolstoy?- Shaman answered.
- Bad. You won't believe what happened.
- There's few things I won't believe, so out with it.
- There's been a kidnapping. Not of our guys... but the boss' youngest daughter and her two friends got napped straight out of the airport, fifteen minutes after the plane landed.
- Jesus, what's with all the kidnappings today? My neighbor called before you, said her niece also went missing today too. Said she was coming in for a few days from Moscow. You have any suspects?
- Albanians.- Lev said.- We told them to take a hike after you taken care of Liosha.
- I need more than that Tolstoy. Get me some pictures of the girls. I think I know the upstart who might taken them. This branch of albanian scrubs works in the prostitution sector. Nasty business. Listen, We'll take care of the dirtbags, you just send us the photos of the girls so we have a way of identifying them
- I'm on it. Listen, Mr. Krovn...
- Shaman.
- Right, Shaman. Listen if you pull this off, the boss will reward you and your team handsomely. We won't be in debt.
- I'll contact you as soon as we get anything worth to report.
- We will be waiting.- Lev hanged up.

- You were right Shaman- Vlad said.- This was just the tip of the iceberg.
Shaman performed a U-turn in the parking space in front of the apartment building he lived in. They walked over to Valeria Petrova's apartment, where the old lady was waiting for them already.
While sitting in the kitchen Valeria Petrova showed the photo of her niece, a young woman in her twenties, with vivid red hair. Shaman examined the photo closely.
- We will keep on to this for a short time, while we conduct the search for her. What's her name again?
- Nastia.- Valeria Petrova replied. She had been taking sedatives for sure, as to not strain herself from all the stress.
- So, how did you decided to call me? I'm just a securi..
- I may be old, but I'm not stupid Sashenka.- Valeria Petrova replied.- I know what you boys are doing. Good thing, without you this city is chaos.
Shaman smiled.
- Allright, Valeria Petrova, you need to relax. We're going to find your niece.
- I know you will- The old lady said while refilling her cup from an antique porcelain teapot.
Shaman and Vlad thanked for the tea and homemade apple pie, and went back to their car to get to work. Lev had sent the pictures of the missing girls. There were three in total, one of them was Valeria Petrova's niece. The three girls had the slavic look on them, being very pretty. your perfect merchandise for the western brothels.
Shaman dialed Alex's number.
- Got a job for you. Get in the security footage of Novkavnogrod's airport. You're looking for three girls, two brunettes, one redhead. They were kidnapped from the premises of the airport. Try and get the faces of the guys who did it. Good luck.

Shaman then notified the rest of the team to be on standby.

Hans did not spend a lot of time at the Fort. As much as he liked going there, mostly because it was one of the few bars that carried nothing but good beer, Hans had other things to do.

Hans did things on the side. But unlike his late convict colleague, Hans did not take jobs on the side. Not paying ones for that matter, or more than the one he had.

Hans left sober enough to drive and drove out of the city. Roughly 15 kilometers outside the city limits, Hans drove off the main road and up a muddy dirtroad into the dense forrest.
After a short drive, Hans parked his jeep in a clearing with a handfull of other cars.

Hans got out, walked out to the back of his jeep and opened the trunk. Hans stripped down to his skivvies and put his clothes in the trunk. From the trunk he took a linnen tunic and put it on, put a woollen robe on over it and clasped a bear hide mantle over his shoulders. De tied a woollen chord around his waist and grabbed an unadorned bag. Dressed like this, Hans closed up his car and left the clearing. After a short walk through the forrest, Hans came upon another clearing, framed on one side by a very large oak tree. Other people, men and women, dressed similarly save the mantle Hans wore, walked about the clearing, some men attending a large pile of wood. Hans approached the pile, atop it lay the body of an old man.

After a short while more people joined and Hans began the ceremony. He was also the priest to these people, germanic pagans like him.
"Tonight we gather," Hans said in a loud voice in German, "to send our brother on his final journey."
He looked round at the people circled around what was to be a funeral pyre, many of them carrying torches.
"People of many tribes have gathered. Jutes and Geats, Saxons and Chauci, Goths and Lombards. Yet, we all know, that we are brothers and sisters all. Children of the All-father."
Hans looked at the gathered people once more.
"Our brother, Gunther, has breathed his last breath. Many of us will attest for the honourable life this man has lead. Tonight, Gunther will ride for Halls of the Gods and seek audience with them. But we must first free his spirit from his flesh, that it may rise with the smoke."
Hans produced a small drinking horn from his bag, the people gathered did the same.
"But first, we honor our brother one more time and drink that his children bear his name with pride. We drink the drink of our own tribes." Hans produced a bottle of jenever and poured a small amount into his horn and knocked it back. The people gathered did the same with their own drinks.
"Now, we give our brother one last drink." Hans filled his horn, walked up to the unlit pyre and poured out the contents over the wood.
Hans looked over to his right and the man next to him did the same. The ritual continued untill every person had poured a drink over the wood.
"Now, we must light this wood. That the fire may consume the flesh and release his spirit."
At Hans signal, two men and two women with torches aproached the corners of the pyre and set the alcohol soaked wood alight.
"Let us now pray, pray that the Walküren accompany our brother and that the Gods may welcome him."
The gathered people murmured a prayer to their God or Goddess of choice in their own tongue.

Not all people stayed untill the fire burned out, but Hans felt obliged to. Many who knew the deceased well, did so as well.

Hans left the clearing in the early morning and went back to his studio, his clothing smelling strongly of wood smoke. He had barely gotten a few winks of sleep before he got the call to be on standby.

((OoC: I had another busy week.))

Vlad and Shaman sat in Shaman's UAZ, waiting for something to come up from Alex, who was really taking his time with this.
- F%ck, why don't the blasted albanians have a bar or some sh!t like that- Shaman wondered- Could be easier for us to find these f"cks and get this job over with.
- They did had one. It was torched by The gooks. Bloody bast@rds nearly burnt down the whole slum it was in too.- Vlad replied.
- Which gooks?
- Communist ones.
- Oh...- Shaman said while lighting up a cigarillo- Those gooks... Yeah, I remember that. That happened few month's after we settled in here.
- Word around the campfire is they have some sort of you know, underground bar or some sh1t like that.
- And consume that dreadful brew made by the local moonshiners?- Shaman asked, smiling.
- Who knows- Vlad replied. A pizza boy passed by the lot, where Shaman parked his car.
- F£ck, All this waiting around had made me hungry- Shaman said while following the pizza boy with his eyes.
- Yeah, now would be perfect for a cold snack- Vlad replied as he unscrewed the cap of a mineral water bottle.

- Finally- Shaman said after finishing a bottle of mineral water. He log on to the web via his smartphone. Vlad and Shaman watched the video and examined the photo.
- Yeah... Not much of a lead... When's Cyber Rat coming back?
- Haven't heard from him or Lizzy in a while.- Shaman replied.- I hope they didn't ran into trouble.
- They'll be fine. The nerd has Lizzy with him, and she has brass balls about this big- Vlad gestured with his hands as if he's holding two large melons or something.
Shaman laughed. He then took a closer look at the picture sent.
- This douchebag looks familiar. I've seen him a few times by The Fiesta, he hanged out outside. The colombians never let him in though.
- Yeah, I know what you mean. Seen him too. What's his name... Can't remember...
- Let's go visit Chaim. He'll know.
- Yeah, that's a good idea.- Vlad replied.

About half an hour later, they walked into Chaim pawn shop. A sort of drama was going on inside. Shaman carried the small loot from Liosha's place, as well as Maxim's jewelry that he was wearing before his execution.
- What do you mean you won't take it?? These are perfectly good golden teeth!!
Chaim remained calm. It seemed his client wanted to sell off his belongings in order to pay off a loan shark.
- Sir, we only accept items of value.
- Allright... Do you know where I can push a laptop?- The man asked Chaim.
- I can give you three hundred.- Chaim said.
- three hundred for a brand new laptop? You must be out of your mind you crazy old man!
- With all due respect, I do not buy, I lend. You do not sell, but store for safekeeping. You'll get on your feet again, you'll come here and buy out.
- I've heard in grave all this bullsh1t!
- You don't want, you don't take- Chaim said. The man seemed trully desperate.
- Alright. Give me the money.- he said. Chaim counted off the sum for his goods and handed it to him. The man hastily ran out of the pawn shop, being startled by Shaman and Vlad. It was the same guy who they dragged to Liosha. Even with the old russian mob boss gone, the debt wasn't erased. It seemed that Lev or his boss gave him a couple more days to come up with the money needed.
- Have a nice day.- Chaim said to his back- Ah, Vladimir, Alexander, to what do I owe the pleasure?
- We're here on business.- Shaman placed the jewelry box and Maxim's gold chain and signet rings on the table. Chaim started examining the pieces.
- Oh, these are really nice. I can give you ten grand for all.
- Give us eight, and tell us about this douche- Shaman showed him the picture.
- Ohh... I know him.. very well too. Deals in prostitution. All kind.
- We figured as much without you.- Shaman said- I need names, places, that sort of thing.
- Yes, yes, of course. Patience... His name is Ardian, or at least that's the name he goes by here. He usualy conducts his operations from norhtern part of the city. My sources say that the Albanians now hang out in a former low grade industry district, nearby the Prospekt. Most of the old textile shops had been turned into lofts. He lives in loft building number 23. I suggest you gentlemen start looking there.
Shaman wrote down the information on a little pocket book. He then patted Chaim on the shoulder.
- Allright. I hope this information of yours pays off.
- Did I ever failed you?- Chaim asked. Shaman didn't answered. They left the pawn shop. Once back in the car, Shaman notified the rest of the team to meet them by the lofts. And fast.

Shaman had pulled over by Vladlena's jeep. To not arouse suspicion the cars were parked a bit away from their targeted building.
Several characters in tracksuit were nearby loft 23.
Shaman noticed Vladlena shuffling through her pockets, looking for sweets.
- So the magic coat lost it's power?- He jokingly asked, since no one of the team actually saw Vladlena purchasing any of the sweets on any occasion, she just seemed to have them, and pulled them out of her pockets at any time.
- Now, Let's wait till Olgoi gets here, we can't go in without her. I specifically told her to bring the silenced piece. You guys watch out for me, I'll go on a roof of a nearby loft and scout out the threat.
- I wonder what Chaim meant with "all kinds of prostitution"
- I'm sure we'll fin out.- Shaman said as he picked up the binoculars.- Bronislav said that he'll get the goods in a few days. God having no radio annoys me.- He said and went into the loft building they parked nearby. On the door leading to the roof there was an easily bustable lock. With that torn off Shaman was on the roof, and began looking through his binoculars.

- I found out what the yid meant with "all kinds" of prostitution. - He said placing the binoculars back into the car- In one room theres several children ages I'd say five to ten. All have blonde hair and possibly all are blue eyed too. tied to beds. No sign of our girls though, they must be in another room.
- Jesus f$cking Christ almighty- Vlad said as a cigarette dropped from his mouth. Child trafficking although profitable was frowned upon heavily by the members of the Commission. It was one of the more disgusting affairs to deal in. Albanians though, like the rest of the small groups pissed ans sh@t a over the unwritten laws of the underworld however. Money was the only interest to them.
- So, course of action..?- Vlad asked.
- Not many options here...- Shaman said- Very limited in fact. Olgoi, go up the roof of the building across the street to our target, you should have better vantage point there to take out these f%cks. Expect heavy resistance inside. Some of you go in from the back, me and Vlad will go through the front. The doors have one of those electronic code locks.- Shaman looked at Blitz- Can your little toy dabble in those things? Preferrably I want the code changed, so no outside help can come inside of the building. Once we have the code to the door, we go in.

- Kind of a lengthy one- Shaman said while dialing the new code. most locks of this types had a four digit combination.
Shaman and Vlad vent in from the front, and gunned down few of the supposed guards. Shaman was using his pistols with silencers attached. Vlad's weapon of choice for today was a suppressed P90. First floor was just a sort of a lobby area, and not much was going on there. There was a locked door leading to the basement area. Shaman decided to go there after the floors were sweeped clear of any resistance.
They moved up to the second floor and started room sweeping. So far there were few albanians dead and rooms filled with supplies and several women, the supposed merchandise, who were cuffed to their beds and were stoned due to heroin injections, to keep them in check. Syringes were scattered across the floor. Halfway through the floor they met Vladlena and Hans. Blood was dripping from Hans's axes. There was no sign of the girls they looked for so far. Sound of shattering glass was heard, no doubt Olgoi killing off the oposition. Shaman ordered the team to move to the third floor.
