One of the most memorable passages from the epistles part of the NT:

Gal. 3:24-29 (NASB)

Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.

Yeah, that's a goldie right there.

What did Luther found in galatians really opened doors, what where too long closed. Doors that Jesus himself opened. Nowdays we took these at common knowlage, even the unbeliavers "know" by fait and not by actions. Faith is difficult thing to explain as it covers so much ground in this mather. Faith, is it ours or is it from God? Does faith have deeds? Does it evolve or is it always perfect or does it fail?

Nowdays we are amazed when some couble has been together 50 years. We ask, what are your secret, when we see this connection between them. Faith, it's lot of things combined and trust and love in simplicity.

Free, would be one word to describe it. Nowhere, never will one be whitout God.

Roy Rogers and Dale Evans were married a very long time and unlike most Hollywood matches they didn't make the tabloid press. The old stars are long gone now but what Roy said once is timeless. When reporters asked Roy what the secret was to a long happy marriage? he replied; "Give 100% of your self and expect only 25% in return". <imo> If you are completely devoted to following Christ, this is doable, if not, then it will be nearly impossible for 'most'. That is why there are so many divorced Christians; they dabbled in Christianity and so therefore truly dabbled in Marriage.

Not only that, but apparently in June after centuries all Orthodox Patriarchs will attend a council in Crete.

And Pope Francis decided to meet Patriarch Kirill in Cuba to get a favourable reaction from Putin, this, combined with the intention of the Pope to reunite the Church may actually be one of the greatest moments of history.

Is it time finally? Was I actually born in the best time of all history?

I pray everything goes for the best...

James 2:1-13

My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality. 2 For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, 3 and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,” 4 have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?

5 Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? 6 But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts? 7 Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called?

8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,”[a] you do well; 9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. 13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

Serving you know who in the modern city

Greetings Brothers and Sisters (hope we have some of the latter at HC)

Came across this talk from the one time Arch-Bishop of Canterbury that lectures on the difficulties of modern cities and how to combat our own issues with the problems that arise in today's world. I'm not facing much in my own life but I know many of you are in challenging circumstances and might not have the experience yet to easily deal with various problems you might encounter. Reminders are always good too.

I do not agree with Brother Rowan on all points, we differ very strongly on one point but I'll remain silent about that, because I can be wrong but more importantly, I think overall, the man offers some excellent thoughts and of course his experience and knowledge concerning modern city life is vastly superior to any notions I have.

Hope you enjoy the talk and discover some unlooked for encouragement. The Q&A that followed is separate and I can only guess...to split the size of the up-load.

Peace and Love...always.

Unfortunately lot of people have that expression of God, that He is unjust. I know that man who seeks restraining order against God is just a trolling but lot of people think God is like unwanted naybor. We Christian all genuily feel/beliave God is good. Life can and will be still hard. Being beliaver does not make you free from trobles but behind everything else we know God is good, even if we don't neccesary always be.

Since these three men played a part in my following the Lord I thought I would share a very small look back in time. All were at the forefront on making modern music carry the hope of Christ.(one way or another)

Larry Norman was called "the father of Gospel Rock" and for a good reason; he was not about to be dictated to by a dead church lost in this world but he wanted a living Faith. Larry proved more like David than Christ but after all...he was only a man.

Here he does a moving cover of Dylan's famous song. My personal favorite of Larry's will always be..."The Outlaw". Find it; it's the life of Christ in a simple, short, beautiful song.

Larry Norman- Knocking on Heaven's Door

Mark Heard died young but listen to his sweet spirit in this song.

Mark Heard - 5 - He Will Listen To You - Eye Of The Storm (1983)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDh_2zovLUo

Phil Keaggy is what I would call an unknown legend. Watch his performance here doing an old non-acoustic song and you will see what I mean. Watch the whole song or you will miss some amazing riffs from one of the world's best guitarists.

PHIL KEAGGY - TIME - ACOUSTIC VERSION - Cranberry High School, Pa. - Aug 16, 1991
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AHf80zhkdQ

These three would not go the normal worldy route of a "STAR" and chose the humble path.

I hate to take away hope from people, yes there is a "god", but he isn't a god he is just an advanced being, an evolved being, and he isn't good but very evil, the darkest force you can imagine. In general, people have the capacity to imagine him being a little bit evil, perhaps moderately evil, but none have the capacity to imagine a completely wicked god, that's usually "out of the question". But thats the hard fact that most people isn't capable of grasping or even willing to accept.

Only the brightest people in this world can understand who god really is. I've lost countless nights worth of sleep, just knowing and understanding how evil he is, it takes away my sleep.

To create beautiful art you have to be a terrible person, only terrible beings are capable of imagining beauty. This world is so beautiful that you have all the reasons to fear the guy you can't see.

It's clear you know the Devil well but you need to get to know the other side that you claim to know but do not in the least.

Funny, that is exactly my problem with unbelievers that value Self above all things. I was 25 before I knew a thing about Christ and once I found him in the N.T. the first thing I wondered about; was why I had ran so long from the only force in the world that was FOR me as I am. Grace...Grace only.

As long as Man will not yield to something greater than himself, far too many men (not all) will be little selfish tyrants seeking only after Mammon and/or their pleasures, to the cost of many other lives.

Sorry friend but that's utter nonsense. Good, bad and indifferent people have always been able to make both great and crappy Art and lots of in-between; being given a gift at birth is no real claim to fame; I by far value someone born behind the 8-ball, without a natural gift that first learns, then works and then achieves. "The same sun shines on the just and the unjust" will always ring true and to many purposes.

If you pay close attention to kids who create beautiful art, they usually make paintings of reality, something they have already made a picture of in their mind. But to create a picture of a world (before you have seen it) takes a great deal more evil to be able to do that.
