so WHAT TF MAKES YOU THINK THAT EVEN TRYING TO STOP OR SLOW GUN SUPPLY DOWN(through law or whatever), WILL ACTUALLY DO ANYTHING AT ALL IN OUR COUNTRY, being that if people WANT it, and it's ILLEGAL, they can STILL GET IT?(

Maybe just by looking at countries who have better gun controls and compare their victims of gun crimes with those in the USA?

Come on...that is not hard to do for you, is it?

*sigh*

Even if you're just taking a poke, i've already explained everything there is to explain. Every single question or thing you guys bring up, has already been answered to death. I'm beginning to think i'm being deliberately trolled. I take this subject seriously, even if i do try to take you guys' lack of understanding lightly. Despite how many pages i've been argued with over common sense snow.

Maybe it's because i just woke up. I'll try to cheer up some, then get back to playing around.

@angelito
I mean, looking at Italy, we have quite strict gun laws, especially compared to the likes of the US, Switzerland and Chzechia.

Yet we have the highest rate of gun homicides in Europe and the funny thing is that there are no statistics on whether they were committed with illegally detained firearms or not. That's actually hard in some cases since we have a rich black market of firearms and we still have many unsolved cases of people being shot.

But we can't even do self defense since there aren't many guarantees about it.

Balance is key, as always.

I think it's unlikely he has read much of what you wrote, apart from the post he replied to and maybe some posts before that.

It reminds me about chess. Sometimes I am looking at a position, searching for my opportunities and pitfalls, but when I have spend a lot of time looking without finding anything particular interesting, I forget why I went away from some moves that at first glance looked interesting.
Since I can't remember, I start to doubt if I looked correctly at the continuations of said moves, or if I have forgotten some problems with these moves, and then I play them and I lose. Just like when the discussion is long enough, people forget previous points and at some point it is more of meaningless repetition than anything else.

Maybe because he is just writing the same all over again just with different words? And to be honest, I have not found ONE single argument of Fred which could make me think "...hmmm...maybe he has a point..."! And no, I am not trolling...I am very serious.
But hey...as long as you vote for guys like Arnie and Donnie being your leaders, I guess it will be hard to have a serious discussion with you guys going..

you have some serious cognitive issues, if you or anyone else can't understand what i've been trying to point out for far too many pages now. i've explained everything there is to explain, and too many of you have just argued with me; not bothering to see ANY of my clear-cut, rational, and PLAINLY logical points.

at least I attempted to see the other half of the argument(which WOULD be justified, except that pesky thing called REALITY); instead of merely arguing incessantly. i can't say the same for more than a few of you. and that isn't right. you infuriate me when you waste my time trying to reach you.

===========
the paris attacks claimed 130 people in ONE event(minus the 7 attackers). do you know HOW that could have happened? take some time to think, about HOW that attack happened. now, think of WHY that attack was SO successful(in the minds of the attackers).

until you go over and over this in your head, and figure it out for yourselves using simple LOGIC, you will NEVER be able to understand ANY of my points on this topic.

until ANY of you arguing with me, can ANSWER the questions i posed regarding the 2015 paris terror attack, consider yourselves ignored.

But we already did that: Arming everone to their teeth doesnt prevent such attacks, it just escalates them. You have MORE attacks with more victims compared to Parisians. The Paris attack was done by organized terrorists, where as you have school kids killing dozens constantly. Even if you arm every Parisian, people during that concert would have still been without weapons during the event, since it's a musical affair and people would have been searched in entrance.

This thead is about mass shootings in the U.S. which are usually done with heavy machinery, which are now routine (unlike Paris). When asked about what is the upside of allowing easy accsess to such semi-automotic assault rifles, since they can't be caried around all the time for defense or something much simpler will protect you at home against a burglar, you replied "there are semi-atoumatic hand guns too, the only difference is range and firepower." Well, da, the range and fire power enables the shootings to be so brutal, killing dozens in seconds, so what does existence of semi-automatic hand guns has to do anything about the question, other than you aimlessly showing your knowledge of guns?

That is what Angelito is talking about or Zenofex and Minion, when talking about strawmen. You assume you replied to points when your answers have nothing to do with the questions, plus, your answers to everything about draining the swamp is about fighting off mosquitos, yet, you also believe these answers to be perfectly accurate and realistic when they are not.

and yet, you still didn't answer the questions i posed regarding the paris attack. you completely ignored it; and the reason why you did so, is obvious. because it ABSOLUTELY verifies what i've been trying to point out to you guys.

and so has literally EVERY OTHER MASS SHOOTING ATTACK.

no, that absolutely DID NOT answer my questions. i asked HOW the attacks could have been carried out, and i asked WHY they were so successful.

you answered NEITHER of those questions, but chose to again, ARGUE with me. stop wasting my snowing time, artu. i'm SICK of you guys avoiding the OBVIOUS.

ah, i see that now, you're actually attempting to answer the questions. try to respond AFTER i reply, so that i'm not having to go back and reread your continually edited post. k?

you don't think just anyone can train to commit a more prolific mass shooting? just how do you think the TERRORISTS learned, guy?

now, what about the attacks that anders breivik carried out? was he a "highly-trained terrorist", as well? hmmmmmmm?

or how about seung-hui cho? you think HE was a "highly-trained terrorist"?

They werent successful because Paris isnt Texas. They were successful because they were organized and unexpected attacks out of nowhere. In 99 cases out of a hundred, they would have also played out similarly in any U.S. city with loose gun laws.

I also replied about Brievik, he used a scoped rifle, killing students on a field trip. What is yor solution to that, giving the students scoped rifles on field trips!

So, if there is a stadium concert for instance, your solution is to let thousands in with semi-automatic assault rifles, in case somebody attacks with one?

you still don't get it, dude.

i'll say it one more time: guns exist. people who want guns will be able to GET guns.

if bad people who want guns can get guns, then where does that leave good people who are just trying to live their lives without getting shot by bad people who WILL ALWAYS HAVE ACCESS TO GUNS?

edit: how many times are you going to edit your goddam posts? now you have me replying to the wrong post.

no, but they SHOULDN'T BE LEFT UNPROTECTED.

believe it or not, guns KEEP people from getting killed by people WITH GUNS.

I edit typos mostly. Nothing altering the content.

That "logic" right there creates the perfect storm swamp, meanwhile you talk about bad mosquitos versus good mosquitos. But I see, you avoid the specific question: No matter how common weapons get, there will always be events such as concerts, festivals, sports, etc where a crowd of people wont be allowed to enter with guns and they will be open targets. So, following your "logic," should they be allowed to enter such events with guns also? And can you actually imagine the panic and results in a stadium with 5000 armed people when they hear a bang.

Edit: Ok, your last post wasnt here when I typed the above, so you do acknowledge there are other ways to keep them protected besides arming each of them individually and letting them in like that, when it is a stadium. Then, all I'll say is, there is not much difference when it is not a stadium either.
