No matter who wins, things won't be changing much for countries in my area, but they might in others.

So, America joins Europe in some of its political priorities, at least with Trump. Until now, only Europe had growing parties feed at the immigration well. This will be interesting to follow, as if Trump wins, it will be a powerful and crucial springboard for all anti-immigration parties in Europe.

Recently. The Tea Party was one of the first parties of this kind (this time around, I know). The only reason the US hasn't really had much of that since is because the whole two party system thing is on pretty hard lockdown. So if no third party can enter the stage, then it's just a matter of when one of the already existing parties will use this demographic, and then it'll be a quick turn indeed.

telling jokes and being a joke are two different things. we need neither hillary or trump. they're both horrible candidates. surely, for a reason. i think everyone should take some time to consider why. this is like bush jr running alongside bush jr, in terms of quality.

what i would like to see, is one of those guys from the militia become president. an old-school american.

Whichever candidate wins, the normal people lose. It's been like this here for as long as anyone can remember about the elections. And yet, they still roll with it.

i don't think so. the reason why they're safe, is because any violent action against the group would be seen as hostility towards actual americans. more people would join the militia, if they were attacked.

you know, i have wondered if that very militia isn't actually an fbi/cia sting operation to flush out the last remaining true patriots(which would be hauled away under the so-called "patriot act") from the zombified and largely obedient populace. any one of them getting shot would actually help validate the group's authenticity. or maybe not; who knows.

It is a possibility. many of the colored maidowns had happened with the supervision of intelligence agencies.

But, if you spill blood "the nation will wake up". Thats what happen with the maidown, and the protests back in Lithuania of January 13th, 1991.
But I don't think it'll work with the yankeestani social justice warriors that you have so many these days. the worst that will happen will be a new trendy hashtag, something like #icondemnoregonshootings

those militia men are true americans, minion. what they are doing, and what they believe, is what our country was founded upon. the people make the government, not the other way around. they do what they can to let the government know that. they are the first real stand against corrupt government, in decades. assuming of course, that they are genuine, and not just another government scheme.

although, most people these days think they are powerless against actual tyranny. it only takes the militia to show them otherwise. they stand up for what's right. they stand up FOR the people. they DEFEND the people.

What I want to say. I say, Donald Trump would be the best president for the United States of America since Lincoln times. You may like him, or not, but he, for me, truly represents American Dream in its originality. This man made a fortune, by himself. He knows how to do things right.

I didn't even watch the guy, or any other candidate for that matter, but what matters is not what I think. I would prefer a GOP candidate, but I don't think any of them has great chances realistically, and much less Trump.

But like you say, they are armed.. I mean, that's dangerous stuff. Didn't sign up with the police to get shot at!

Now, on the other hand, if you happen to get mugged by weakened elderly people or small children for that matter, please give us a call.

Republicans must be really desperate.

What's interesting with old red neck conservatives is that they may be a slowly dying breed, but they still manage to stay strong because old, stubborn folk always vote for the same crap, all their god damn lives, while younger people with more inclination for change and new stuff are often more confused and spread their vote to third and fourth parties and etc.

Pretty much, even if the rest of the Republicans don't want Donald Trump, they'll stick with him because they know they just can't afford any kind of division. What if they kick him out and Donald goes on a self created party? Truth is, they can't afford any kind of division whatsoever, not even 1 % of their voter base.

The whole situation makes me laugh

I've heard this brought up several times. That Trump's supporters are a coalition of old, angry, white men. Although old, angry, white men do indeed make up a large chunk, the crazy thing is: Trump draws from a much wider demographic than that, which is exactly what makes him deeply concerning as opposed to amusing. He has a flamboyant charisma to him and an immunity to intimidation that makes him a natural at the profession of DEMAGOGUE. And - although his views might be deeply confused and even somewhat uneducated - it would simply be a deluded lie to call him a stupid man.

The surprising supporters of Donald Trump
One recent opinion poll has Mr Trump receiving 41% of the national Republican vote. Now, that poll doesn't mean very much in terms of his chances of actually getting nominated, because what matters at this stage are the early primary states.

Nonetheless, it's clear, a lot of people like Donald Trump, a lot.

But who are those people? We see the rallies, with angry, ardent supporters cheering Mr Trump's more incendiary statements. We know that a majority of Republican primary voters (59% according to an ABC/Washington Post poll) also agree with his plan to ban Muslims from immigrating or travelling to America.

From the images of his rallies it may be tempting to think Mr Trump's supporters are all as extreme as he is.

There's a common misperception that all Trump voters are white, working class men. But break down the polls and you get a very different picture of a Trump follower.

Many of them are women - possibly more than half, according to some surveys. Many have college degrees, and many don't even describe themselves as particularly conservative.

So we went out to talk to a couple of Trump supporters who don't look or sound like the people you see cheering and booing at those heated rallies.

People like Taylar Martin, a 19-year-old student at American University in Washington DC. She calls herself a closeted Trump supporter because nearly all her friends on campus don't like him. I asked her to give me a few words to describe him.

"Passionate, driven, confident, motivated."

Taylar's studying international business, so is that what she likes about the billionaire businessman?

"Perhaps. I think I've seen him be really successful as a businessman so I'd like to see how successful he would be as a leader of the United States."

Taylar also says she likes the fact that he's not a politician, even though some of the things Trump says, she describes as "a little bit out there".

Is she thinking of his controversial proposal to ban Muslims from America? Well, Taylar is concerned about terrorism and about what she sees as a threat from Syrian refugees, but she thinks banning Muslims altogether "might be a little too extreme".

Trump supporters can also look and sound like Jeff Scrima. He has studied at Harvard, is about to start an MBA and has come to Washington to join his fiancee Kelsey, who wants to travel the world when she stops working in the Senate. Jeff describes himself as fiscally conservative and socially liberal. He used to be mayor of a town in Wisconsin.

So, what does he like about Trump?

"He's provocative, smart, confident," Jeff says and he too likes the fact that he's an outsider. "If we do what we've always done we'll always get what we've always got. So if we just go with the career politician we're going to have more polarisation in Washington."

Image caption Supporters wait at campaign rally for Donald Trump

Jeff says there is no number two or three candidate for him. No-one else evens comes close. So, what does he make of the proposed Muslim ban? To some extent Jeff gives Trump the benefit of the doubt, suggesting he made a deliberately provocative statement to get people to "lean in and listen and start talking about the issue".

But would he actually support the policy itself? No. Jeff, like Taylar, thinks that goes too far.

Jeff and Taylar are reasonable, thoughtful centrists, looking for someone who can fix America's political dysfunction.

They don't like everything Trump says, but they are committed supporters. And if he decided to leave the Republican Party, they both may well join him.

I'm not surprised at all that people support Donald Trump's ideals. They needed them badly to say the truth. They suffered through the years of bullsnow political decisions and mannequin politicians. Donald Trump is a man of determination.

that certainly doesn't bode well for the state of things, does it? you can't fix a problem by introducing another. those people are fools. they don't understand what trump stands for. they use personal characteristics to describe an individual, instead of an individual's ideals(and even past history, goddamn it).

those idiots would have voted for ted bundy if he ran, because he was charming, thoughtful, and dedicated. take a sec to think about that, alexspl. adolf hitler was many of the same qualities that those snowing dumbasses described trump as being. fFs.

you know, i thought voters were dumb before. why is it i'm always surprised by just HOW dumb they reveal themselves to be, thus plummeting my opinion of their intellect further into the depths? is society getting closer and closer to being mentally retarded as a whole? am i the only one thinking that these people all ate paint chips as a kid?

edit: cut unnecessary ranting.
