Poll Question:
Would you change the skills in HotA?

Based upon lively debate in the main HotA thread I decided it was time for a poll and maybe continue the debate in this thread instead.
It probably won't change anything, I'm just curious what you think.
HotA so far changed Necromancy and Scouting and maybe they will change more, but we don't know which or when.

So how do feel about the skills in HotA?

I don't like the changes and would'nt change any skill at all (How it was originally)
I'm fine the way skills are in HotA now
I would like them to buff some of the most useless skills
Just nerf the best skills a little
Buff the most useless skills and nerf the best a little

One thing I have learned is I shouldn't call for something like change or upgrade If I simply don't have solution or any kind of contribution for the called thing for that matter.

I mean, I am interested in the idea of Heroes 3 to get some oil on the rusty sec. skills, but this contribution has zero value for anybody or anything.

And by this very minute as I am writing this, there is a thread JUST as this, named "Enhanced Magic Skills Mods" which doesn't show polls but a vision AND a work of a guy who likes Heroes (skill system) his way. Contributes with change and upgrade of (partly) things which you already asked for.

In my point off view you are forcing, or rather trying way too hard to have HotA your way.

My two cents. I mean no harm, nor any offence but this is getting kinda old.

@robizeratul Necromancy was changed from 10%/20%/30% to 5%/10%/15%
Scouting radius was changed from 1/2/3 to 1/3/5.

@Salamandre Good for you.

@Dairy I just asked for opinions that's all, I know it won't change anything. I have plenty of solutions, but HotA crew won't care anyway.

Because as said to you for about A THOUSAND TIMES your suggestions goes beyond HotA's scope? Here you make it sound like they are the bad guys for not listening to your jibber-jabber, this is something!

Maybe you should try the newer Heroes games from Ubisoft, I think they want to make all skills the same and all factions the same and everything plain stupid, might suit your needs.

Can you read? I just asked for peoples opinions that's all. If you don't have anything constructive to say, just stay away.
I'm also tired of all these play Wog, play VCMI, play newer heroes. I won't, I play HotA with HD mod and that's it.

Yes I can read, I read your **** all the time, "hota don't do this, hota don't do that, oh this is not fair I want it more like this or less like that", and you use this condescending tone "hota doesn't care, they don't listen",  all in a forum where people actually WORK to make THINGS THEMSELVES. HotA owes you NOTHING, this is your 99th poll/thread, if we cut off all your posts repeating the same things time and again from the hota thread half of its pages will drop neat. So if you enjoy hota, and you obviously DON'T, just try to have some decency and stop hijacking and cluttering quality threads with your constant junk, spare us the sneaky remarks and show some respect in the forum you're posting into.

Like I already posted in the other thread I wanted to be done with it a along time ago, but people kept answering and I felt the need to reply. Why do you think I started this thread?, in respect for the other thread, because it was too much.
I never claimed HotA owed me anything and for the nth time I'm very grateful and thankful for their work.
This thread is in no way meant condescending. I'm simply asking for peoples opinions.

Scholar - could transfer level 5 spells on Expert Level
Learning - change it from 5/10/15 % to 10/20/30%.
Sorcery - 15% on Expert is very low bonus. could be buffed a little bit. Taking it on non-hero who is master of Sorcery is skill slot wast.

One thing I would make if I could was to implement the Market of Time or similar or to have a ten skills system EXACTLY like in WoG. Just now, Corkes got Intelligence in the last free slot instead of Air, precisely in the battle where I conquered the first town with Dimention Door spell.
I battled with Adela for more then a month while I evolved Crag from scratch, cause I had no solution. With a single DD that costs almost as much movement points as to simply walk there he can't hope to pursue enemies on the spot and since I have a bunch (six I think) of AotDs, Earth spells aren't exactly the one's I'm looking for.
Recently I started battling with AtoD, shackles and both red and black orb but before that heroes with half his prims and much worst specialties were doing better then him.
So, please make a change of any kind to allow us to recover a screwed main.

Well, a system of reward points could be set, but of course Hota will not do such heresy. Still for those of us working on it, having a reward system would help to fix your screwed main.

Like:

10 points for each 1000 HP defeated.
2 points for each mine flagged
5 points for every AI hero < your level defeated
10 points for every AI hero > your level defeated
etc

Then have specific costs:

for 200 points, be able to change a skill (lose navigation, get one of your choice)
for 500 points learn town portal
etc

Sorry for of top, but well, was responding to BloodS. And of course, the values require intense testing, just wrote them quickly to show the idea.

@ sal: you mean like adding a diablo-ish skill system, where you can add points to stats/secondary skills, and increase them as you go(likewise, AI and wandering monsters could do the same)? that'd actually be a pretty good idea. nobody would be able to complain about "nerfed" this and "buffed" that, then.

Yes, as you play vs the map, you accumulate reward points which you can keep for higher rewards (dimension door?) or spend on minor things (a primary stat, a resource etc).

I have tried HotA but still WOG and ERA have more possibilities... with Salamandre on that one.

As for the question at hand, I do wish changes were made to some skills that players seldom choose...you know which, those "worst" ones.

So, voted " Buff the most useless skills and nerf the best a little "

If you want skills to be like you imagined, just play ERA, and mod the skills however you like.
