Is it possible to change Birthing Pools growth bonus for imps (+8) with hex editor? Changins this number in Crtraits.txt has no effect, unlike basic growth (without Citadel and Castle). Would really appreciate offset for this.

It just dawned on me that I looked for Cerberi, not Imps. I'll edit later.
Cages: Hex-editable: 2 bytes @ 0x688864

For some reason creature spellcasters can't cast magic on themselves.
Would it be possible to have Ogre Mages, Master Genies and Elementals cast magic on themselves? It would make for more tactical possibilities and would be more fair for heroes specialising in those creatures. (I don't want Archangels to resurrect themselves, they are OP enough already.)

This will not work for AI - it just tricks the mouse cursor (current creature) in believing the target underneath is not itself.
0x47601C = EB
Checked with Master Genies, Ogre Magi and Archangels.

If you want fancy exceptions, place a hook at 0x47601A.
c->eax is the creature structure under cursor, c->edi is current creature structure.

For AI it's probably a big mess and I don't want to touch that with a 10-ft pole. Ben is studying AI algorithms, maybe he has a clue.

I already talked about this here.

You can use this dirty hack that does the job in hero window: drop any war machine to backpack (you can't pickup catapult)

By following this Tread, I've been abble to change almost everything in the game
Thank you so much...

There is only tow things that I didn't succed to change.

-Scouting: I don't know why.

-Hero Skill Speciality Pourcentage (Offense, Resistance, Armorer, Logistics, Sorcery, ...)
: They are all fixed to 5% by Hero Level. But I don't know how to change that.

If someone know how to fix it.  I would be very gratefull for that

Dear Hereos fans, good to read you!

I noticed in exe that the voice of the Rouge was to the sound of the Gremlin, the Sharpshooter and the Archer.

It is a very good idea to change the towns terrain, but then it has to be moved to the exe of the map editor, if I think so.

One thing I really care about now. When a castle is attacked, the defensive shoots from the towers are on us. Where can you set the animation in the defensive castle?

Peter,

I tried to find the animation that you're looking for into .LOD files from the Data Folder With MMArchive, but i only found some pics of DefensiveTowers (Intact, Damaged, and Destroyed) But I didn't find .DEF (animations files) that you want.

Defensive towers shooting animations are the same as creature shooting animations.

I Have been testing all Buffed/Nerfed skills in few games with my friend,  and all these Skills are now GREAT!    

All of them,  except...
- FIRST AID (still almost Useless)          and
- DIPLOMACY (my favorite skill, but still too Strong)

Problem is that First aid Tent don't provide you a Constant Healing Bonus.  It can heal you only 03 HP even if you are Expert, that so disappointing...
A fixed 100-200-300  (or less like 100-150-200) HP healing, will be perfect, but only if its Invariable!
I need to change that so Much!  even if i have to learn ERM to do that.

For Diplomacy, I would like to recruit only 25% of the stack who wants to join me. It will be a good nerf to recruit less units! I think I also need ERM to change that.

I don't know anything About ERM so... I don't know what to do...

First Aid bonus per skill level:
0x63EA98: array of 4 DWORDS representing each skill level (default: 0.00f, 1.00f, 2.00f, 3.00f)
First Aid maximum heal per level: 0x63B76C (default: 25.00f)
[note: f stands for float, use linked hex calculator]
Removing dice roll on hit points:
0x47852C = EB0A (jump over random call)

Everything seems to be hex editable.

1- change army count for free joiners:
0x4A6C88

return EXEC_DEFAULT;

2- change army count for joiners costing gold:

Also you could make neutrals think they are a larger group than in reality so they will not join as easily:

I know some things, and from those things I can try to decipher other parts of the code with breakpoints. It can be learned, a year ago I knew nothing about Assembly.
