I think it can be found. If the order of artifacts in the .exe is as in the mapeditor/.txt , then following that pattern should give us the location of the Garniture of Interference. I'll also check.

I finally got around to testing the creature banks. I have Crypts set to give minor or major artifacts (vanilla only gave treasure) and I got my reward with no crashes. You might want to have a second look at your findings in that category.

The crash wasn't in CrBanks. Crbanks works flawlessly, I even tweaked Dragon Utopia to give resources (mercury, sulfur, crystal and gems) - of course made the army of dragons a bit more powerful (in numbers).

I have set Crypt to give 0A artifact types, but to get to the 0A you have to battle about 2500 Skeletons (1st stack 70% Upgrade chance), 1250 Wights and 500 Vampires. So you better be careful whether or not you wish to enter the Crypts - somehow the AI is able to just visit the crypts or any other CRbank and without a scratch just "turn around" with no so much as a scratch.

I don't know where or why the game previously crashed, but after replacing it with the original an re-editing almost everything, now it works... Am slowly testing the Secondary Skills hexes, maybe something went haywire there.

The crash, that I has very earlt on, with my CRbanks was - that I didn't have the .txt editor, and went head on and edited the things in notepad - oh, bad idea...
Messed with the Shipwreck (where you have to battle wights), and after saving it, the game didn't recognize the object anymore, you could visit it, but after the visit, the game crashed. Fixed it, and tweaked it, now at the 10% visit, you get a chance to battle 2500 Wights (1st stack 100% upgrade), 750 Vampires and 30 Ghost Dragons.

Why isn't the Pyramid listed in the .txt as a CrBank, I mean sure, the reward is a random 5th level spell, but this game object behaves like a CrBank, right?

I can't find these offsets/addresses... in HxD
Should I be looking for them in IDA?

When he writes it like that you need to subtract 400000, so 64 is actually 24.

Is it possible to make random dwellings also spawn neutral creature dwellings?
Can refugee camps also be set to generate Sharpshooters and Enchanters?

It’s the difference between editing the exe file directly, or editing computer memory after loading the game. When loading the game, it will reserve a memory range that starts 400.000 bytes from the start of system memory and load up the executable there, byte by byte.

Hello there,

Thanks for these nice answers !
As we're talking about this spell... I don't know if someone know how the "land mine check" works...
I changed school for land mine and I got some "issues" : game said "no ennemy can be affected by mines" (so I can't cast it) but obviously, it could work on some ennemy units...
I think I had troglodytes in front... And normally they could be affected by land mines no matter the school for the spell (they're immune to blind)...

To allow Sharpshooters/Enchanters at Refugee Camps, change 6A 00 to EB 1C at 0C9028 (in HoMM3 Complete SoD HD) in vanila I can't find it.

Found it at C9356: 67 00 00 6A 00 68 87 00 00 00

Also I noticed that the AI doesn't want to cast Dispel if you cast only Quicksand and/or Land Mine. Well, it makes sense as it doesn't see them
