Orb of inhibition and orb of vulnerability

what if same hero has both Orb of inhibition and orb of vulnerability? would he be able to cast spells? would he be immune  to spells?

ok found myself - it is orb of inhibition which takes priority. armor of damned still casts spells even without orb of inhibition.

Equip both orbs is a knowed trick against strong casters with low might skills and stacks that outnumber yours.

If your opponent don't have any of the combo arts, orb of invulnerability can enhance the combo arts for you despite orb of inhibition.

Angelic Alliance amd Armor works in Anti Magic Garrisons, so on Orb of Vulneralibity to remove magic immunity for dragons and magic elementals.

Is'nt Orb of Vulnerability kind of an unfair artifact?
I mean you can strip the enemy's Gold and Black Dragons of their immunities and even though they are "stripped", you still can't resurrect them! Why does this artifact only work for the hero that wears it?
I feel Gold and Black Dragons were incredibly poorly designed. If you want to use Orb of Vulnerability it also ruins the Resistance skill, which 3 Rampart heroes and 1 Dungeon hero starts with.

What do you mean up there with combo artifacts?, it's a simple Relic. The cost does'nt really matter, you can't buy relics anyway.
Maybe if it worked for both players it would have been fair, but I don't think it is fair currently.
Gold Dragons always sucked, but Orb of Vulnerability can make Black Dragons suck as well...

I mean it's pretty rare and you're probably never gonna find it on most maps or templates (the more expensive, the rarer). Only Spellbinder's hat is more rare expenisve among non-combo artifacts (which are disabled by default). But this still doesn't really justify what you said before about not able to resurrect if only the enemy hero has it (it can still be a code limitation, but I'm somewhat doubtful about that).

This also reminds me of the Black Dragons from King's Bounty (same as the ones from H3, only had an added ability which let them spit fire while flying over the enemy each several turns) which were annoying because you couldn't resurrect them whatever you tried, so I kept them away from the battle after their HP dropped significantly (they could still be healed by some creatures). That's why I preferred Red Dragons there (different creatures in KB), with better specialty and leadership/stat ratio.

Spellbinder's Hat and Orb of Vulnerability are not any more rare than any other relic, cost has nothing to do with that. On some maps relics are even found in abundance, you could get 4 from a Dragon Utopia for example!

Didn't really know that. Anyway, it's pretty clear by now that Orb of Vulnerability is totally OP, unbalanced and makes Gold and Black Dragons somewhat insignificant in the hands of the enemy.

Well I was just pointing out that something is'nt right here.
3 Rampart heroes and 3 Dungeon heroes also can't use their specialty on the dragons, which kinda defeats the purpose of their specialty.
Well HotA is welcome to address the issue, but I think I already found a pretty good solution myself.

Well:
Gold and Black Dragons are supposed to be immune to Armageddon correct? This can also be attained by being immune to Fire Magic.
They were also immune to all mind spells, so they can get that again.
If we make them immune to Fire AND Mind spells, they will be immune to nasty spells like Blind, Berserk and Armageddon, BUT now they can actually be resurrected and the 6 heroes can use their specials on them! (Well except Coronius, because Slayer is a fire spell.)
I'm a bit unsure of Green and Red Dragons though, I'm debating whether they should still be immune to 1-3 spells or not have any immunities at all, it's kinda weird they are immune to stuff that Gold and Black are not immune to...
There is of course also the option to make Gold and Black immune to 1-3, Fire AND Mind spells, but then Melodia, Uland and Darkstorn can't use their specialties... (Well Melodia have no need for her specialty anyway, she needs another specialty or the morale and luck caps needs to be raised to at least +6.)

The last one seems to be the most reasonable to me, to be honest. They were kinda underpowered with no resurrection in the original game, and always felt as fragile creatures before which get hit several times and you forever lose a week's growth.

This is a bit off-topic, but I want to know if people are interested in this: I want to create a thread to show and compare, for example, Black Dragons and other creatures from all HoMM games and other similar games, like King's Bounty. Stats, specials, abilities, strategies, similarities, etc.

Yeah I was thinking:
Green and Red: No immunities - all 6 heroes can use their specialty.
Gold and Black: Fire and Mind immunity - all except Coronius can use their specialty. (I actually considered moving Slayer to Air Magic instead, then Coronius and Conflux could also use Slayer. In my game I also moved Dimension Door from Air to Fire, so would probably be fair to give Air a spell from Fire as well.)

Oh and yes I would be interested in such a comparison thread.

I was thinking of keeping some immunities for Red and Green Dragons (lvl 1-2 or 1-3), and for the other dragons too. Let's not forget, that's their essence.
