In other projects I mainly do it for myself, not to please, Erwinner :-)
But this project I imagine to be a campaign BY the fans FOR the fans. H7 hasn't exactly been well rechieved, and I'm not sure if this new campaign changes much about that. People seemed excited to be able to return to the world of H4 even if it was in H7. Indeed I would love if this campaign (as well as other H4 related projects) could spawn some new interest in H4 and help develop it. There are still people who would love an RMG, the next version of Equilibris and new campaigns. But it's the excitement about the release of the two new campaigns, I want to take advantage of. If this were to be released in +two years time, I think people would have lost interest again, hence I think it would be wise to use the attention the campaigns are getting in H7. I'm quite familiar with the amount of work H4 campaigns require and the lack of response you get, even after a release, and that's also the reason why I asked for interest. I have no intention of spending the next year or more on this on my own. But if enough people would join and support the project, I think it could be worth doing. FOR the fans :-)

Considering your rocky start here, I wouldn't put it past people to find you undeserving of any help, not because of the idea, which is actually good, but because of your poor attitude and antagonizing approach to other forumers. Do take a page out of Karmakeld's book.
But otherwise good luck with your projects.

Errr? I got a poor attitude towards other forumers? :-O
Because of this line "Is that how HC users have to be approached?"?
Why would I be on this forum if I disliked other forumers here? If you've read some of my other posts, I take pride in trying to help, so you completely lost me there Stevie..

Stop personal agression. Its road to hell. Who dont like HIV dont write this theme. You can begin theme. " I dont like HIV". And writing in this theme. Here we talk about new/old campaign to HIV. How to do it. So we like this game. Modders are only 1% all players. If there is 10 peple who talk how to do this campaign that means there is abuot 1000 players who wants play it. But first we must do it.

So much misunderstanding it's crazy. 
What Sal meant is people will be more attracted if some work is already ongoing, because ideas are worth nothing if there is no concrete work behind, don't see the problem here tbh. What Karmakeld meant is he wants to get help for the project, nothing wrong there either I think.
Now I see it was said it was my idea, well I did formulate this even before Unity was out, as for me is common sense and minimal respect that these campaigns belong to the game they were written for (without any alterations *wink*), and Ubi is using them to promote more h7 which is understandable from a business POV but not acceptable from an ethic POV IMO
Then I've also read other forumers wishing for that to happen, so it could be their idea too. H4 does have its share of fans of course, and I believe storytelling is the best part of that iteration. I never tried h4 map editor and never finished anything in the h3 editor because I'm lazy as hell, and I did choose CH to post that wish because I know the Equilibris team hangs out there and if some people seem qualified and the most potentially interested to work on this is them, while HC has more activity towards h3 and h5. Then maybe not I don't know, was just a hunch.
Anyway if you want to start the thing Karmakeld you definitely should, I don't see any reason why people would reject work if is of quality, and as Sal said there will be better chances for more people to join if you already present something, even if WIP. But maybe first step would be to get the texts.

Galaad, you're right that a lot of posts were made and only a few dealt with the subject, but it seems to be getting better  anyway, indeed I do believe getting and reading the texts is first step. To me it's important that text and map design etc matches. By now about the only thing I know is the name of the main character and it being set on the Broken Isles  Getting the text will hopefully describe some of isles visual design as well as some objectives - more than just changing the old magic system. It was suggested not to look too much at H7, and I think it might indeed be better to do our own interpretation, but I still want to stay true to the story and it's visions. So if anyone knows how to extract the text or is able to do it, that would be a good start
It would Ofcourse be super cool if this could become part of Equilibris v. 3.6, but the team seems to be hibernating atm. :/

yeah check it out lol, the only probelm is some of them get formatted a bit strangely so gotta correct that, also don't have the cutscenes transcribe (can just get them off youtube later), but I think all else is there lol
