I wasn't sure yet on a upgrade name for Valravn, but I have this Peryton in mind: 
Not a winged stag.

Peryton is mainly a winged deer creature. Maybe work with the myths of how a valravn is turned into either a knight or some vinged wolf monster after eating a babys heart...?

There are countless cool things you can do with Valravns, it is high in my list of favorite myth creatures. But they have much in common with Peryton as well.
1: Both creatures eat hearts.
2: Both have bird and wolf features.
3: Both are evil to the core.
But im not 100% sure yet on valravns abilities so things may still shuffle añd change.

No, the peryton does not have wolf features, it have stag features. It is what makes the one upgrading to the other such a bad idea, despite the appearent similarities. Beside, not every creature has to be upgraded into another similar mythological creature.
As for abilities, some sort of shape snowing could be nice, like the upgrade can turn into this raven-ish knight. Or maybe a bloodlust ability that makes it stronger after killing something.

I think I will completely change and go back to Marelle, my ICTC 8 town I didn't finish. I should have the draft somewhere.

I'm dropping my dark forest idea (for now) and continue with the Apocalypse Towns. I can't have just one, so it are four-in-one.

Honestly, I would advice you to do the opposite. Drop the apocalypse towns for now, they are a little too much out there and feels way too specialized to work with the rest (mostly in terms of lore)
We can't just create whatever. Some ideas might be really cool, but in the end pointless if it overshadows the rest of the lineups with out there themes and lore. Remember it's a cooperative project, so we have to consider that in the end it all have to work together. Beside, four different towns sharing a common theme is still overkill.
My advice, work on the dark forest town instead. It is a cool concept and actually something I would love to see in a real heroes game.

I would say they mix great. Demons in their popular concept only exist thanks to Christianity after all.

I think it sounds cool and rather refreshing, however it appears to maybe overlap somewhat with Leiah's Clave. Will keep an eye on that but they seem different enough for now.
