I just had an idea!
A town based of vikings and norse myths. It's called Ringfort, and I'll like to reserve Dwarfs, Selkies, raiders, Huldras, and trolls if possible.

Looks like we're going 7 tiers with 3 alternate creatures though don't let that stop you. So what you want!
@Medic: which one do you want? you can maybe do another one, but please finish one first.

Yeah atm I'm using the h7 template because it was the one back in the day for ICTC but that is likely to change.

Oh, I'm sorry I did not notice that my faction was maybe a little too similar. Hopefully they won't be too similar. c: I was wondering if it was okay that I used Vampires and Angels(Seraphim) in my faction? (I know it seems like a weird composition but I'll explain all that when we get to the lore, I'm basing my faction of off Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments books)
Note: I'm using the lineup system Articun and Minastir are using in their Inolin project (If that's okay to them!) where all factions have 7 tiers with two choices on each tier except two tiers in each faction have only one creature which is considered iconic.

I'm making a faction so full of clichés it's unbelievable. Even Erwan would find it hard to steal so many ideas. I'll even try to make it monochrome. 
I won't even spoil the name but I want to make a faction that shows that even ashan can be made interesting.
On the other hand, who knew that finding a proper pic of a dwarf with laser rifle(that is not from WoW) could be so hard.

depends. you might want to differentiate it a bit depending on how Gryphs does it (fallen/corrupted angels?) but it seems alright for now. As said, I'll keep an eye on it and if it's too similar I'll let you two know so you can come to an agreement.
and any tier-system is alright. we're not necessarily after a functioning game as much as a new, interesting setting.

Honestly, I had some troubles working Citadel. I lacked ideas and had a hard time figuring out how to best to use those I had.
Don't worry, I'll only put it on hold. I wont discard it.

That's a relief. What I am intending to do is a mix of H2 and H4 systems, which feel like the best imho.

Heyo. Haven't been around for a while - just popped in to see how things were doing - but this looks fun, so here's a rough draft somewhat based on a previous concept I was working on for my own what-if Heroes universe.
ZIGGURAT
A combination of ancient Jackalmen kingdoms and the Gnoll tribes just outside their borders, they are unified by their worship of the "bird gods" of their native savannah-desert lands.
Might Hero: Pharaoh
Magic Hero: Vizier
T1 - Jackalmen > Anubis (Walker/Melee)
T2 - Serpent Fly > Wadjet (Flyer/Melee)
T3 - Scorpion > Black Scorpion (Walker/Melee; poison attack)
T4 - Gnoll Zulu > Chieftain OR Witch Doctor (Walker/Shooter; buffer or hexxer spellcaster)
T5 - Sphinx > Lamasu OR Manticore (Walker/Melee into Flyer/Melee; defence or offence)
T6 - Mummy > Ancient Mummy (Walker/Ranged; damage caster)
T7 - Roc > Simurgh (Flyer/Melee; some appropriately high level power)

I'll throw in a short thought here. I know this might come off as very negative, and my intentions are not to ruin the good atmosphere, BUT: I think if we want to recreate the original magic and charm of the heroes series, we need to go back to more iconic/mythological creatures, and less creatures that have names that either are clearly made-up creatures that hardly anyone recognizes (Jubokko? Sianach?) or are so generic that they could be anything (Watcher? Silent Brother?).
If you look at H1-2, you'd know* pretty much 100 % of the creatures if you were familiar with common European and Greek mythology and a bit of Middle Eastern mythology and Tolkien. For H3-4, this is still true for the vast majority of creatures, even though a few creatures like Naga, Efreet, Gnoll and Gorgon fall outside this category.
I think as time has gone by, and with each subsequent inferior version of the game, it has been increasingly clear to me how important this naïve and fairytale-like element of the original games was to the games identity.
* And by "knowing", I mean: You'd be able to visualize the creature and its role in combat even without seeing it, simply by hearing its name.

I pretty much agree with you on the fairy-tail charm going missing with the mythological creatures but that does not mean that it can not be made to work both i terms of gameplay and lore. Even a TOTALLY overblown faction like H6 Haven could have been salvaged if some creative writing would be allowed. But that is what I'll try and demonstrate with my faction.
Btw I always wondered why we never got the obvious ancient Egyptian themed faction. The fact that the Tower has been made a desert faction pisses me off to no end even today since it robbed us of this possibility while elevating the dwarfs to being the snow faction even though rocky suited them better.

Well I'm in huge favor of the desert "Tower" - after all, with Djinns in the line-up, the transformation to arabian theme made good sense.
When that is said, I do agree that an Egyptian theme would be great also. Necropolis has been hovering around this theme for a long time. H2 Mummy with its pyramid (and H5 Mummy also) probably being the most prominent example, but the Lamasu, even if taken from the Babylonian mythology, can easily be transformed into an Egyptian setting. H5 Lich also had a rather Egyptian look come to think of it.
