You really cannot with a dichotomy like truth or lie.
Also, when people give vivid experiences, such as, "feeling an earthquake" the answer, all to often, becomes obvious.

Not at all, that's the best part actually. It's mind games, you can be overzealous with detail just to trick people. But the suspense is bad when you have to reveal it after 2 answers, it's not good enough. Would be better if some reward was for all those who guessed correctly.

Okay, I do not want to change the rules but for the sake of variety lets try....
Multiple choice, one of the following is correct, the others are false.
A. I once hit a deer while driving late at night, leaving me with a concussion. Pshhhh.... I grew up in Colorado, I have a rudimentary sixth sense when it comes to those snows.
B. I cut my leg with a chainsaw while hauling wood for our fireplace.
C. I got in a bar fight and someone stabbed me with a pocketknife.
D. I was attacked by a rabid coyote while hiking. Sorry, but no. That seems highly unlikely, though looking back over it they all appear to be unlikely.
I will gladly take this down if people want to keep the game pure, up to you Fred.

there's really no multiple choice when "taking the stand", but what the hell. if people don't like it, we can always go back to the original way.
and i'm going to say "a". why do i get the impression that you're just one big scar, raenus?

Stevies comment made me think about the fact that with the number of people who appear interested having a system with two answers may be a bit unfair. It turns into a first come first serve where either you guess correctly or the person after you just says the opposite to cover all of the options. For instance at this point it would just be waiting for someone to come in and say false about the deer.
Like I said it is up to everyone else.
