yes, i'm playing the german Version, but it is no big deal (-:
something else: the new creature growth boost buildings look fine but the text still says it would only boots the growth on the initial unit, is that intended or something wrong here? f.e the building that boosts kapas or dryads will always say "boots growth of dyrads and their upgrade" no single word about Kappas here, also this is written in german where other Icons are explained in english like the ones of the new Units like White tiger or earth elemental, so maybe it is something about the language here too

but i really love the mod, so much more diversity now (-:

Yes, this is the same problem.
The mod modifies some language files - for example the growth building descriptions. However I have been able to make just the Polish and English versions, since my German is a bit rusty and I'd rather not make a fool of myself .
So the game has no updated German files and decides to go with the old ones - that's why you see no changes in Kappa's name and the growth buildings.

Officially the mod supports English and Polish game versions. For other languages the mod will still work, but the names and descriptions might not match.

IIRC someone complained about the same issue some time ago so it's something Limbic didn't fix. Most likely it's not the mod

To be honest, I also heard about that and I also think it's not the mod (I haven't really modified Kappas at all besides their name and giving them an information that they now have an upgrade). But you never know. It's best to always check.

Acid, i think i've found a critical bug. U can not hire Kappa Shoyas or upgrade Kappa Shoyas to Kappa Shoyas (obviously, lol)...
in the recruitment window, there is also only the Picture of the Kappa on both creature pics when u roll through the Basic one and the upgraded... also the costs are the same for both, the upgraded one is not there, only in the heropedia... so you cannot buy the upgraded kappa shoya and also not upgrade the Kappas to kappa shoyas
i dont know if this is a Problem with the german Client again or in general

This shouldn't happen, even if it is a matter of the language files. (It does not happen in English/Polish versions).

i wanted to say that indeed we are testing to game that is not completely bug free.
i ended me session with white tigers.kappas, faceless and panthers. all as they should be. i love how panthers are color coded
will move on to the rest of the factions later or tomorrow but everything seems normal.
(pls pls pls don't replace the striders)

question to Acid Dragon;

everybody has a wish list of what changes they would like to see with the mod or from the devs

if the next big update comes after the new dwarven faction dlc
can you hint at what you would like to do with the mod?

do you have an idea that is in the works, or you really want to do
that you can give some hints at?

from dvoytek but no new info about it. AcidDragon, have you seen this? Is there any way someone knows how he did the Battle mage and the "Nightmare"?

Also, i have a question for anyone that knows. There has been a lot of trying to make the unicorn work with the deer animations, but i wonder what would have if the Cavalier animations were to be added to Unicorn if this is at all possible...

Honestly the first thing I want to do right now is take a small break .
However there are two natural next steps for the project - town building graphics and making a version for the upcomming expansion pack. And I have to say I may have some problems finding an alternative creature for the dwarves.

Yes, dvoytek is a member of Acid Cave and he did help out a lot with the 1.5 mod version. It's his work/research that gave us the Succubus, the Efreet Sultan and he did some edits on the Faceless and Kappa. He's in the "credits" section on the mod's website.
This video presents his first experiments. For the "battlemage" he took the Academy hero model and gave it Druid's animations and sounds. The "Nightmare" - as far as I remember - is the Necropolis' Grim Rider horse with some new colors. The best thing I like there is the H6-style Spectral Dragon. It would make a good "alternative upgrade" for necropolis. Or perhaps a third champion if we find a way to somehow add those.

As for the unicorn - I tried Cavalier's animations but those don't seem to apply to the Unicorn at all.

if a creature was created to be a second option to the ghost/banshee
will the necromancy skill still work for the new creature ?

I do believe Necromancy is not dependent on any town choices. So while we can (probably) set Necromancy to raise Vampires or even Unicorns (or any kind of new unit) instead of Ghosts then this doesn't mean that a player has a Ghost dwelling or a Vampire dwelling or a Unicorn dwelling in any of his/her towns.

Can you transform Cavalier into a unicorn rider, if the animation is the problem?

finished my session with stronghold and haven (my worst two factions btw )
nothing out of the ordinary. i encountered a bug in the stronghold town when trying to build the behemoth/cyclops  building.
i don't think the mod did this but here it goes.
my town was level 29. i could not built the champion buildings. it looked like this.




clearly i have met the prerequisites but still i could not build the champion building. can you check out if smth got weird with the said growth building? although i m pretty sure it's a bug or i'm not seeing smth.

mind you i have built the wyvern growth building and the other one (dream lodge/pillar of smth).

also the mermaid could have a fixed number of her ability with the splash damage. she is kinda op like this and there is no reason to upgrade her.

@Sleeping_Sun - That also doesn't seem to work. I'm sure in a way it is possible, but would require some 3D modeling and editing the skeletal meshes of both units. So - maybe some day. But right now it cannot be done by simply replacing one file with another.

@ChrisD1 - Thanks for that report. This is a bug of the mod and appears when you build a Wyvern Hatchery instead of Stone Pillars. I am working on a fix.

PS. F12 key lets you take screenshots from the game - you don't have to use your camera.

i was going to the prtscr button and then paste to paint but all i got was a balck image. it's a glitch of windows or smth.
next on the list is necro (i dread the inferno units in the line up but duty is duty ) and academy.
after that i will continue to play with normal gameplays for my own enjoyment and if i find smth wrong i will post.

btw any chance to enrich the mod with that 10% movement points in exploration?

you should change the version number to 1.5b and include a change log

or be prepared to see a horde of bug reports about the same thing over and over...
that has already been fixed
