somebody asked about a sphinx, I don't know how to remove the green mist fx, but he could make a cool neutral unit

It is a nice try, but it still looks quite undead :/
Can't something be done for the tail and face? And maybe the hair also? It is one ugly creature.... :/ (and i mean the model, not the effort)

I also tried to make a sphinx out of the lamassu, but the I eventually gave up. That model is annoying as ****

the tail I added hair and a new normal, but I have blender, not max
(blender is free) so I don't have a psk import script, I cant change the tail mesh
the face is my fault, I got in a hurry and did not make the same edits to the specular that I did to the diffuse and its showing through
the hair on his head could be made darker to match his body

I made his face less dead lookin, darker hair, removed the fork on the end of his tail
yeah he looks like a lamasu, but he looks alive now anyway ^_^

Is it in any way possible to make something like this outta of this weird lamassu?
At least for the colors and the Egyptian hat or whatever to avoid the hideous hair and maybe go without the tail altogether... or add the tail from the panther
Thing is, the body construction is wrong to begin with. The sphinx in the image has its front body part elevated creating a neck and a form of upward spine. The Lamassu here just takes the body and adds a head with a neck without the elevation. Also the head and neck does not feel to belong to the body at all, like it was intended for another unit and it a last moment cut and paste, gave it to that creature, which in turn just make it look weird. It also has way too muscular legs which are also disproportionate to the whole.
Also, on a sidenote, anyone interested in trying to make a real Lamassu as well?

Well for the lamasu to look more sphinxy,it needs a big necklace,like the one it has,a more "blonde" fur color,black hair,the face needs a make up,and the hardest part of all is the removal of the head jewel and give her a bob haircut. No loose hair or anything,a short black bob. Lizard warrior made wonder with thr feather wings!
