Not much of an update today, will come in tomorrow. What I want to ask, is there some sort of technician around? Well, it's just that there is a table for the Knight, which shows how the Knight's primary stat is raised, depending on the level. Just wanted to know if there is info about it for other classes, since there are no such tables on the Wiki.

Here are some objects you can see from the overland. Those are just images that aren't from the "townscreen" or aren't from hero overview/inventory etc.

Is this daemon cave present in Heroes I? Well, I have encountered the demon that tried to slay the hero, but failed and received 1000 XP. There is also an encounter where one has to pay 2500 gold price or let the hero die. Are there more encounters with this demon?

Let me teach you about... Magic!

All spells have been added. After teaching you the advanced art of  spells, let me see some Wiz-Biz!

Just a note: the teleport icon is off, since it was not actually meant to be used. I never ever encountered teleport or dimension door being offered as spells in mage guilds. I only managed to take the image of the teleport (which is low quality) and I suspect it was a bug it was found in the hero's spell book. Now that I load the map, the spell is gone. I can only suspect Dimension door is also supposed to be in the game files, but that would require tampering with the data, something which I am not experienced in.


Here are the credits. Usually I don't think people are interested in that part (I could be wrong, though). However, I did find an interesting tidbit:

KnowWonder, Additional art: Phil Knowles, Kerwin Burton

This rouses my suspicions. For all I know, that Kerwin could be just a pseudoname.




Pretty certain I did every under my control. Here is the battle theme. Not much spectacular, I say.

Terrain theme, however, makes you feel some adventure-esque/war/8-bit simple experience.

If you have any requests, then place them now, since there is the second version that has to be written about as well.

Also you can get 1,000 XP and 2,500 Gold (30%), or 1,000 XP and a random artifact (10%).

Thanks for that info. I didn't see an artifact, though, since that could be the difference between the Game Boy and original version.

That puts it one step above h4 grephics in this department

(Though now we could make waves overlay for H4 water, nobody has done so yet)

Just to mention, most of the graphics have been reused from the previous GB game, but there's something new, too.

is the graphic actually reused from farm town?

Thats a disappointment given that making anotherone could not be all that hard. I mean, its like what? 60 pixels?

Well, I did say a lot of graphics have been reused. The differences are the creatures, skills (which have been added to this game), townscreens and heroes. A bit lazy, perhaps, but there's nothing much we can affect on it.

Castle creatures, right here.

Same function, different look: Castle buildings are added.

Rampart theme music. You can also go to Castle theme music, which does not sound all that different from Heroes I's counterpart.

Neutral troops are a bit harder to do, since I have to encounter them. It's not like there's a map editor from which I can pull this stuff out. Anyway, I'll try to do that, but for now, I can only report that the neutral ones so far are the demon and the ghost (and the latter has that Heroes I and II effect).
