Heroes VI Original Academy Line-Up

It's not a secret that Academy was initially planned as the sixth faction for vanilla Heroes VI. Although the original Academy concept somewhat made its way into Heroes VII, it received some tweaks here and there. I've been curious about Heroes VI Academy line-up for a very long time. And as far as this forum is read by people who possess this information, I think my question would be relevant enough. I hope it's no longer confidential and can be shared freely.

So, can someone kindly reveal the original Academy line-up planned for Heroes VI?  We've already seen some parts of it and thus can make several suggestions concerning its structure.

* * * * *

CORE

Dervish / Gargoyle

ELITE

Djinns / Rakshasa + Upgrade

CHAMPION

Titan

QUESTIONABLE

Golem - Core or Elite?
Wizard - Core, Elite or Hero?

* * * * *

If Wizard turns out to be a Hero, the third Core / Elite creature slot remains vacant.

Hope somebody will make things clear! Thanks in advance!

I don't think it was ever finished so one can only guess. I think it's safe enough to say that H7 academy is what H6 academy could have been, other than the cabirs and the alternative simurghs.

Too bad we never got to see Dervish in the game though... So many possibilities for that kind of creature

One thing that continually baffles me is why, when they have picture-perfect concept art to use a portrait in H7, they instead went with a lazy Colossus recolour for the Titan instead of the perfection of the H6 concept?

Heroes Vi did have a good visual presentation. It may not have been perfect in how it stacked things up as JollyJoker (i think) showed in another post, but at least it was pleasant to the eye and not intruding. It also had good details in units, maps and windows.

Heroes VII as we have seen from the article that went down had to be rushed in order to be published, so, a lot of potential to work and improve over the good points of heroes VI failed and thus the whole game is now considered even lower than Heroes VI

Honestly it appears as if the wizard were meant to be blood magic hero. Mostly judging from the design, which appears closer to what they did for the heroes than the units.

Thanks, Elvin! I feared to receive such answer, to be honest...

Even though I'm not fond of Ashan at all, this Academy is my absolute favourite in the series. Despite the fact it hasn't been released.
I don't consider Academy in Heroes VII a true successor to Heroes VI one.
Gargoyles and non-upgraded Rakshasas were changed for the worst.
The artworks were redrawn quite poorly (just compare this and this).
Arcane Eagles: there is really nothing special about them.
Apprentices: well, I just don't like the visualization. Heroes V Magi are a true perfection.
Golems: the only flaw Academy has in Heroes VI, to my mind. Once again, their predecessors seem flawless to me.
Cabirs: the point where my rage is infinite. I'm OK with Gremlins in Heroes V and Dervishes are among my favourite newcomers to the series alongside with some Sanctuary creatures. Cabirs... I want to see a person who came up with the idea of this absolutely worthless unit. Did we really need to remove Gremlins and Dervishes to introduce this trash?!

Well, we did remove Unicorn and Phoenix for Bambi Deer and Manticore for some weird clown, in comparison Cabir is not that bad.

Guardians, Spiders, Elite Blade Dancers, Champion Swordmasters... This game is full of strange line-up decisions.

I'm fine with the Guardian and the Swordmaster, but I agree the lineups of H7 are dead wrong on many levels, nearly any fan faction I've seen in the Altar or the Coliseum are far more inspired, even those not dismissing or even embracing Bullshan.

Honestly I wouldn't even be surprised if most of the models were already done for h6 and that's why they used the old concepts instead of creating things of their own for h7. I seem to remember from forum post by BH employee going through the things they did for h6 and among them was half done academy faction(before they were told to stop working on them). I mean aside Cabir they just made minor changes which is sad really given that I thought the h6 versions looked better

This game is very special for me, I had extremely high expectations for it.
I remember how this video excited me in August 2010. Almost everything seemed - and still seems! - perfect to me: graphics, sounds, interface and so on. I was eagerly waiting for each new screen, each new artwork to be revealed by the team. I read each article on the official website and thought that I would enjoy every single aspect of the game. Then the Public Beta started ruining my Ivory Tower. That was another game, it differed seriously from everything I had seen before - videos, screens, promos...
It just seems like some members of the team were changed in the middle of the road.
I want to believe that Heroes VI original developers were capable of creating an outstanding game had they received proper funding from the publisher. Just have a look at these amazing backgrounds created by the team suffering from different types of resource scarcity simultaneously.

Probably just the artwork(actually, I am pretty shure, it is just the artwork) but I would have liked this line up.

Gargoyle
Dervish
Mage

Golem
Djinn
Rakshasa

Titan

Always a shame, if planns gets skipped. (Looks at the Dervish)

Do not know about any original H6 Academy line up, though.
