so we now have 2 different games? one with balancing changes and 1 without? ~.~ what else isnt available for campaigns and Scenarios?

HOMM has always had a fundamental design problem with water travel. Those embark/disembark penalties for ships are BRUTAL. This is very unfortunate, because sailors were known for their fantasy, and many epic stories feature sea travel prominently (Oddysey, Sindbad...). Sea was the big unknown, a source of sea serpents, krakens, and other strange beings of the deep. Great depths are still very little known and in some ways harder to reach than outer space. Lovecraft's books capitalize on that.

A whole new realm could be opened to HOMM by redesigning it and making water travel more convenient.

i couldnt agree more.  i play water heavy maps almost exclusively for the added depth of adventure.
