Downloaded it, tested it and it looks great!! I didn't need Equilibris or to mess with any config files or anything, I just extracted the files over the top of a fresh install of Heroes 4 complete and it ran right away. Started in a window so I needed to go into the in-game settings and select 1920x1080 and tick full screen but that was it. When windowed I can see lots of graphical options (similar to the HoMM3 HD patch) to apply various custom renderers and sizes etc.
But yeah.. wow! HoMM4 in 1080P HD.. my life is complete lol! Thank you so much guys!

the first donwload link does not seem to work anymore :-( it opens the blog site but when trying to download the exe file it get at crawl time out or something..

The first 2 links in the update area are just webarchive backups of the webpages, the downloads on those pages don't work. That's why I posted the 3rd link to the GoG forum thread as you'll find working download links there thanks to people sharing the files around. I'll edit my post to make that clearer.

well as you can see in the celestialheavens, my Heroes IV Ultimate does have Verok's HD incorporated as function (I have always announced it as such and Verok never seemed to mind). The only thing is I substitued some of the HD menu screens for the mod's ones, but otherwise you can still play unmodified HD H4 with the Ultimate mod just by using the original executable to run the game.

Verok has finally updated his famous HD mod!!
Just check it out, have fun playing!
Changelog: Fixes the black starting screen, no movies being displayed, CTDs, and warped resolution ratios, plus many other issues related to graphics on newer Windows OSes. Also includes several graphic upscalers.
