I've got a kitten sorceror, a zombie valet, a wildkin (all 3 dots) from the tower. Kitten sorceror and Wildkin actually look like decent defenders.

I just wanted a 3+ dot egghead so tried my luck with the no dot drops a bit. They drop rarely in tower, still looking for a decent place to farm them.

I think since last update the Phoenix is ******* bugged. It is kinda problematic when the opponent's ones rebirth but not mine, I just lost a fight because of it.

If I am right that is not a bug,just a usual setting and around a bit longer already...would need a screen of the awakening skill though to be sure

Thank you for the input guys, pretty much what my brain was telling me. The Sludge Hulk and Forest Giant are probably going to get upgraded on merit, the Behemoth is probably going to get upgraded because I want to believe. It appears to have so much crowd control potential.

I have not used the Kirin yet (waiting for my last multisummon and the formation of my mega party) but it appears to be absolutely amazing for my team. Heals 10 random allies for 60% luck and provides the team with a 30% luck buff (10x1380 for the first heal, 10x1794 for the subsequent ones sans multiplier). Goes with my Pheonix like peanut butter and jelly.

First awakening step from Phoenix says resurrect once per combat and that's all it says. Then after some patch (indeed earlier than last one) I've noticed it only resurrects IF it used its special at least once (which was not the case before as it would rebirth anyway). Now sometimes, it rebirth after I use the special and other times not. Same action generating different behavior IS a bug (or maybe HungryDragon can correct me). This has affected me but also my opponents, giving me an easy win when it shouldn't have. The Phoenix rebirth can be lethal as I usually use all my mana to hit him once, if he was fast enough to activate before I kill him, I get some casualties after he rises back from the ashes.

As tested by several guild members here are the basic attack values.

All basic attacks deal a percentage of PWR dmg.

soldier: 50%
bruiser: 2x 27.5%
bard: 45%
ranger: 50% (60% vs flying, doesn't work, is bugged)
grunt: 55%
mage: 30% to target, half to adjacent
scholar: 15% to row
squire: 50% (assumed)
warlock: 50%
assassin: 50%
defender: 45%
healer: 45% (assumed)
hunter: 50%
mystic: 50%
berserker: 45% (assumed)

The three left assumed would need confirmation, but it just be in line with the others. Berserker would also need information on the damage icnrease vs wounded enemies.

Additionally, ranger is supposed to do 20% extra dmg vs flying creatures. As of now, this is bugged and does not owrk, ranger deals equal dmage to walkers and fliers.

Can the assasin/warlock and other conditional multipliers be confirmed?

We should send the ranger bug to Support. I can if you want but I don't want to steal your glory . You can easily reach them via the 'support' button in-game

I am not used to that quoting thing,so I do it like this:

I tested this behavior too with enemy phoenixes and my grave guard which also has a self revive awakening ability.

Sometimes enemy phoenix revive before I even let it attack once while my grave guard stays dead even after it used 2 specials.

If I am correct that is a set option and the missing thing is in the skill description, there is nowhere written that it has a 100% chance of revival,I would guess it is simply not 100%...it CAN happen to revive,not is MUST happen.

If that is correct it is not a bug but an intentional rng setting.

Edit: For the ranger attack it would also interesting to know if it would be working in defense,does the game recognize what's flying and what's not when the attackers practically runs one row of 5? (For example water elemental skill hit one row as attacker...but since attackers run only one row that skill basically becomes a 'hit all', so there are differences)

They used the same creature with different tomes. The results are reliable.

If that is correct then the descriptions should change. I won't put a screenshot because my game is in french but I swear to you if I translate word for word first awakening step says: "Resurrects at 25% HP. Limited to once per combat".

Plus from the game tricks:

So if you are correct in your assumption all descriptions are wrong or I have trouble understanding english.

I was once stuck with a Knight (of course) in this game.

I had my Treant, Stegosaurus and Siren left, Light Elemental and Dark Elf were dead instantly.

Then he healed himself the entire time, and my siren could heal also insantly every round or so, so the battle was endless... I had to let myself killed because it was no use.

I really hate Knights, but I guess you already know that. They are much too powerful.

I don't really get what's so wrong with them, in Heroes you could kill dragons with them and Cavalier/Champions were also part of the most powerful creatures due to the jousting bonus.

Well I know you don't like them because they're not obscure mythology beasts, but that is just you.

Yes, phoenix have the same problem sometimes when they are 4 dots and fully evolved and awakened, but the Knight has this problem with me that once I loose my Dark Elf (and that is the first round) the Knight is impossible to defeat.

He just keeps healing itself, just like the phoenix.

And 10.000 people seem to have this creature...

I agree he is strong, no problem for me since I have a 4 dots Dark Elf acting last with x8 combo multiplier and maxed out ATK and LUK with totems so crits are really deadly, but well, again I shall repeat that I love it some creatures are just so strong. You have a Stego though.

I have to agree with Galaad here, You may not complain with your Stego .

If only I had a decent defensive legendary I might actually hold off some attacks...

I would like the Knight more if not SO many people have it.

Every person in my last group had a phoenix, knight or both.

Was there ever an event where you could get a Knight so easily?

Possibly some earlier challenge we missed. The game was released globally months later, also the Android version came later than the iOS one. So some people have been playing for much longer, and when you play it everyday, a couple of months can make a difference. This is how there is some lvl 300+ players out there.

@Stevie : The results are then only reliable if you first attacked all the time the same target and second included every single stat change that those basic attacks bring with them passively including the atk/def values, that was why I asked upper
The actual formula seems a bit harder to calculate...

@Galaad: the tool tip ingame says it can,not it will do so...so yes,we got either a bug or a wrong description, my opinion tend to second after some testing

@Rakshasa: Send me that Stego and you are allowed to complain about super strong defenses Knight is hard,but I prefer killing him over any Stego...light djinn at 105 is also ouch...storm giant is good...phoenix is ok,but not op as defenders.

This is really question of semantics, "can" is not "could". In many instances you use the verb "can" when it means as a capacity, something that WILL work anyway. Like, "birds can fly".

I have the Phoenix since the Challenge and I fight them regularly, so I have some first hand experience too. The description from the in-game awakening panel should be used for reference.

It would sure be appreciated if HungryDragon could clear this up so we stop arguing on this. Until then, for me this is a clearly a bug. Otherwise it would clearly state "has X% chance of" like it says for literally all other creatures.

But he seems to have stopped posting here altogether.
