Okey, just leave alone reward matters, can you imagine low level guys' frustration when a dude with full awakened epics comes to Silver tier to take the first place and they have NO CHANCES at all to beat him? That's ridiculous.


I'd like to point out that it is the same level of frustration being placed in gold tier as a new player.
When I started playing I was ascending a tier every time the event ended, and I am only VIP 2, so no pay to win. I didn't even manage top placements in bronze or silver but was upgraded nonetheless.
Currently I don't stand a chance competing against the better players, for example I don't even try challenging dungeons with awakened phoenixes and the like. If I lose one of my team members in an earlier wave (still happens more often than I'd like) it is game over.
By the way my defense rate was/is always above 10%, sometimes even as high as 30%, so maybe you are explicitly sniped by other players @Galaad. Or it is because I'm not competing for the top spots and therefore no interesting target

Seems that the guaranteed drops from some encounters on maps have been quietly removed, no idea if the special rates on the feature maps got changed since I've no interest in the dark elemental.

Yup seems you are right, pity since pyrat plunder had a lot of those guaranteed drops....I feel like other fights have a higher dropchance though, had a battle where 4 chests droppped this morning

I feel that drop rate in general ...even at king has been stealth nerfed with each patch that they drop upon us. I'm currently trying to farm the red ant to awaken my 4d one....But guess what ...I got only JUST 1 from like about a dozen runs...Like seriously? If it was at the very beginning in a dozen runs I would have like 20 over already...Why is it so low now CQ? The stats does not lie man .....Grrrrr

Firstly, low levels should not compete in silver. And if they choose to, they should expect these consequences (btw currently lots of people are promoted to gold, who really should not be there)

Secondly, it's natural that people who invest into farming (awakenings, totems, dots) are rewarded with better places.

Finally, restrictions on team setups could be tweaked (like I said, say, two epics max in silver).

Sure, maybe this idea won't work with such low game population, but I thought competing with full small/medium creature teams would be fun and will bring some variety and strategy depth.

Battle tower ranking. Count the number of players in top 1%, it's around 100. So if 100 people are top 1%, 10000 people are 100%

I understand you like to waste CPs into attacking players with very low prestige, which is not my playstyle. I always attack the top guys and usually spend minimal amount of CPs required. Stronger dungeons seems necessary to me when a 40% defense rate is considered good.


It's not about what I will do or what you will do it is about what the obvious winning strategy would be.  PS if I wanted to attack little guys why would I be suggesting a restriction on attacking little guys?  

And stop saying put them in silver.  3 tiers are not enough to have balance from top to bottom of a tier.

I kind of like this idea as long as rewards in silver and bronze are increased to be comparable with gold.   It might be fun to be forced to fight with a team of rares and would certainly solve the issue of more challenging dungeons but if the rewards are as bad as they are now no one will choose to play in bronze or silver.

It makes literally no sense if Bronze rewards are comparable to Silver and Gold ones, why even make Tiers in the first place then. Certainly, forcing weaker setups in both attack and defense for a gold player wishing to gain rewards from a lower Tier instead of his own might be interesting. But honestly, I'd rather first focus on finding ways to fix existing flaws before potentially add new ones.

Also 2-3 weeks ago I tried to farm yellow kangaroo from tower lv 3 using 78 quick battle coins...and guess what...Only 2 kangaroos dropped...neither of cos were 3/4d ... That was the patch b4 this current one...Now? I cannot even imagine how low it can become...

I really have to wonder who writes the patch notes for CQ.

They note every single automated message, which can appear in the guild chat.

But important stuff like the battle tower score formular change, the nerf to mend (no longer affected by combo) or the top 10 in epic events now getting a big essence goes completely undocumented.

Have to be fair, I see Dulkan currently has 85% def rate and Mark is around 60%, Stormrider 50%. So maybe I was a bit harsh in my critics earlier, and 90% of players have a **** defense.
Guess I'm not farming enough.

Not really, that's just lowbies running into the 4d LE wall. I even have 2d in my dungeon and that with the 3-wave.

I just hit lowbies around lvl 120-150 since I joined. They revenge and often fail to recognize the LE as the threat.

That 85% is probably 6/7 and who knows how many of those are trades? Possibly up to 3.

Your policy of only hitting people on your prestige level is likely the cause of your low def-rate.

When you see a guy with 40% def-rate, you can expect 20% comes from trades/feeding, 15% comes from lowbies trying to revenge him and 5% are real defenses.

As you never attack low level players with relatively low prestige, they are much less likely to try your defense and fail.

As I linked earlier, I made an extensive post on reddit about ideas to improve the dungeon experience.


Also a bit about the motivation of those revenging lowbies. You are a juicy target, they only risk one CP for a potential gain of 200-300 prestige. Also, when you consistently farm a player, he is likely to try revenge at least once, because if he suceeds, you will likely never hit him again. After all, when we attack low prestige players, we are after safe, risk-free prestige.

Also some people are just dumb. I've seen players use a single ifrit or another secondary healer by itself as their only healing capability in the team.

Yes I've seen it and are good suggestions, I mean a thread to contribute here at HC.

Also, for a strategy game, I don't like to plan counting on opponents doing errors.

I take the opportunity for a short notice to address members sitting on the bench: since the guild update I can accept up to 20 HC members playing casually and scoring less than required for competition, so if some want to get back in and not worry about their prestige rank, there's plenty of room ATM
Deserters and other porn addicts may also come back if they repent by writing a poem for Blizzardboy in the Wastelands.
