when you select the object, a new tree opens to the screen on left, if you open it. I always adjust screen size to almost nothing there, so out of way making map, til i need screen, i drag it large to open it.
When open, you have to RIGHT click on pointlights.
Choose ADD.
than adjust your light settings including color and position of actual light source on object (you can give it's own altitude, as well, on larger multi tile objects, you can choose which tile the light comes from...i think).
Once you do so, select something on tile, doing so closes your editing of the object, and all the settings you adjusted will take effect.
fyi... if you ever wish to repeat the light settings, for instance making multiple candles or multiple crystals, and want the same source of light... when done editing, and close the screen for that unit, reselect unit, and RIGHT click the Pointlight line, choose COPY, and every setting that falls under that line will copy,
choose the new object, which you wish to repeat, again right click the Pointlights, first choose ADD. than right click again, and choose PASTE... and the settings you chose on one are applied to the next... choose another object again, and the recent application will take effect...
wash... rinse... repeat for many!
