“The New Talking Heads”

I have had something on my mind now for some time and I now wonder if others have had a reaction of their own in some form towards what I will call “The New Talking Heads.”

There is an old saying; “It’s the squeaky-wheel that get’s the oil” that I think has always applied to problems for people and societies. If you will allow; the “squeak” draws attention to a problem and of course that can be a good thing, even a necessary part of problem-solving.

However, there is also another old adage that I think also applies today; “If you’re not part of the solution - you’re part of the problem”. In general, what good does it do to rant about problems, however fairly, if identified problems that receive our attention, are endlessly discussed but never leave the conversational-arena and become successful implemented solutions?

With those two first considerations I want to mention my concern today. Many, many times there will be some important news or topic making it’s way by different perspectives and purpose within the mainstream-Media. I will give you one example that I investigated a couple of months ago; Pakistan and the country’s current stability in regards to the interests of competing Nations across the world. The presentation I listened to and watched revealed a very common format used now. There were three experts representing “Think-tanks.” There are many of these organizations within Academia today and they go by various names as Foundations or Institutions etc. I’ll not give one of them a plug.

The next part of this format is every expert had been writing and selling books for a number of years on the subject of Pakistan and held various credentials for being an expert that expressed some amount of “sound research” in regards to Pakistan’s history or present situation or both. There were so many books between them, that each expert on the panel gave kudos to the others on the panel for their contributions to solving the problems of Pakistan.(books)

Before I can continue, I need to point out a shift in the world of publishing that I believe is dangerous to ignore. In most previous decades “most” books would by far have been written after historical events and for different intents. I.e. More documents became available about a person or subject. Today however, there has been a huge swing towards what I will call “real-time biography.” Look no further than American Politics and you will see your first broad book-list. However, like in my Pakistan example it is far larger than Obama selling himself or any politician; this practice seems today paramount in the world regarding international-interests and <imo> organizational agendas.

What is concerning to me is how close the new media and publishing has moved towards something too close for comfort, in ways that can approach the Fascist/Communist eras and methods used then.

Personally I see a new form of profiteering in publishing that to my values is deplorable but what do you think about what you come in contact? Further, if you do smell a rat at times, where do you go to avoid pre-packaged communication and get the Truth?

1) Pakistan - is the hellhole.

2) "competing of nations" , whahahhah . Yeah, that is actually the Pakistan doing , beginning fro the Cold War and from it's misunderstandings with India .
So we can imagine what the, so-called soviet agenda said to the India guys - "Yeah! It is right how the things is going on! The Nations warfare on the Earth, the 500 years - this is your land bla-bla-bla , so our Nations a friends in that case! Just attack the evil nations as we have agreed before " - Whahahah. And of course something like that was from the opposite side (I mean in Pakistan)

They have a too serious faces . Lol...

The correction - Nationalist/Communist, both of this very ideologies can be easily used to , ahmm, to do what have said previous . Fascist like stuff actually never was used, there was some attempts in the Italy, but with a poor success. So in the modern world you need to use Communist like stuff, or similar to it - Nationalists like stuff - <imo>.

India–Russia relations

<imo> - their faces is too serious for this kind of work! Except for the last one, his face is right in place WHAHHahhahahhh .

frostysh I was not looking for more on Pakistan but to my point about the "selling of books" in regards to solving the woes of the world.

Surely there is good reason for Nations and representatives of those nations to do their damned jobs, earn their taxpayer-given salaries and solve problems.

Wow. No one has seen what I described in the OP? Maybe it's just a USA thing?

Here's another "format" I have noticed. An Institute or a Foundation has an important Debate that is NOT a debate. All three people, the two sides of the issue and the "supposed moderator" work for the Organization that is holding the debate. Afterwards, they answer questions from the floor.

That is cherry-picking important debate and discussion and I think most folks are either totally oblivious to my topic or totally disconnected from caring how information is presented to us today. <imo> That better change. Truth and knowledge are power and always have been.

1) I do not understand you, because of my poor English knowledge.

2) The word "nation" itself have a many meanings. So can you be a more specific, to avoid a many misunderstandings?

3) "representatives of those nations" - are you sure about the some Pakistan guy, that have some New Jersey roots due to his grandma, and which is working as a some special adviser in the Pakistan Defense Council, is a representative of the Uncle Sam nation? - Yes he is . But it is calling little bit different - the Government. or something like that. But not a representative of the nation . Of course it is depends of what you are means in the word - nation.

4) "earn their taxpayer-given salaries and solve problems" - do you think that the guys that turned Pakistan into a "competing nations the goals of which is kick India" from the Uncle Sam side, and the guys that is turned the India into a "country that must do a revolution in the Pakistan" from the Red Ones side, The all of this guys WORKING FOR A MONEY? You are funny, mr. typo white-colored American male markkur  (no offense, it is according to you own words )

My time at Foundation Institute was the most amazing and spiritually rich time of my life so far. I learned so much about Scripture, of course, but more importantly I learned how to apply it to my life and how to serve those around me. Despite my shyness, I was able to develop friendships with the wonderful, like-minded students around me - as well as take part in projects and activities that once, I would have considered outside my 'comfort zone'. Because of all the opportunities FI offered, as well as the encouragement from teachers and students, I was able to become stronger and also discover how to utilize the gifts God has given me to serve in ways I had never imagined.

As I stated at first, this has been my most spiritually full year yet... but the exciting part is that I will carry this with me the rest of my life, and will continue to build on this 'foundation' that has been set. If you feel like you would like to learn more about God's way, or feel that you need guidance as you develop your spiritual life, please give FI a try. I look back on the time spent there as utterly priceles - by Angela Nelson, Facebook -res.

Of course, sitting "on the kitchen" and talking about the problems of Pakistan, will make us close to the truth . Who knows

And of course there was a National Referendum in US or SU, of "what we should to do to solve the problem", when the Pakistan-India crisis was in a "hot" phase, in the period of the CW, and when the "timer" ticks on for a hours maximum .
