The lecturer that teaches me the introductory course to Lithuanian history is awesome.
in our group we have a superhardcore hitler fanboy. Yesterday the overbullied moron nearly got his ass kicked by our lecturer. Great self control the dude has, and gave the douchebag one and only warning.
Overall, my history group is pretty awesome. except for that hitler fanboy, who laughs his ass off when reading a book about the siege of Leningrad.

The other day, while I was doing the library inventory of the little village I mentioned earlier, I have discovered an old book written by a long gone relative. I recognized his name on the cover, and since I had no idea such book existed before, I got really curious and took an interest. This guy was not a professional writer or a journalist, he was graduated from economics, he was in olive oil business, he went to the U.S. to have a masters degree and stayed there for a few years. So, I started reading his book. Now, he comes back, he says that since his return all his friends keep asking about his visit and before WW2 all we knew about America was mostly from the movies; cowboys, gangsters and jazz... But after the war everyone took an interest in the country, so he thought it was "just a good idea" to have this and for about 200 hundred pages, he explains the history, the civil war, the laws, the traditions, the cultural differences between the busy city centers and the suburban zones, the Protestant clubs, what kind of books sell most, his personal impressions, leaves a note "written in Ayvalik, 1956" and goes back to his own business.
Man, older generations were damn hard-working!

Good find artu, I would totally read that.
After an exhausting evening of ground fighting and chokes practice *coughcough* I took my time and woke up around 13:00 to find my room bathed in sunlight and my cat lazily spawled nearby. Sometimes it feels like cats work on solar energy.

I am more a dog person myself, but before the break-up, my girlfriend got a cat and now, she's living with me. She had never been out of the apartment before in Istanbul, except to go to the vet etc and now, in Ayvalik, she's totally crazy with the yard, the plants, stray cats walking around etc. The most annoying thing is, sometimes, after chasing bees, flies, frogs, climbing up pine trees, eating grass for hours, she still comes back and takes a dump in the house, and right beneath the wall with the photos of the family elders like she's just messing with me.

Once a young cat belonging to a friend had severe diarrhea, it happened in the apartment and the huge and violent throws of poo were terrifying him at the same time so he was running all around the apartment throwing poo all around him in complete panic.
