Fred you gotta tell what a wavelength is before I have any clue about what you're saying.
Also why is the light that plays with itself playing that you can't get your records?

Long years ago...sometime between the discovery of Fire and the invention of the Wheel ol' Markkur did as Timothy Leary did. However, TL had access to pure-LSD and who knows what I did and the actual contents. I had good trips, so-so and a not-so-good. I don't know if it is true but I was always told back then that street-acid could be laced with stuff you really do not want in your body...like say strychnine.
But I'm signing on the suggest a trail of thought about what an LSD experience can be and why.
Peyote buttons were an important ritual "medicine" for some of my distant relatives but unlike modern drug use it was not for recreation. Some tribes called it a vision-quest but whatever ritual or purpose it was one of preparation and discipline.
In short, I found since I had made no efforts whatsoever I was wide-open for any outside stimulus to form the trip. i.e. If a co-tripper began having a bad-trip or was having a good-time with colors or patterns his' would bleed into mine.
I'm not an advocate of drugs now unless truly needed but I still believe one of the worst aspects is to take anything...even Scotch and not be aware of your own thoughts and previous/present mood at the time nor to consider the environment and people you will be around.
Sounds like your trip was a good one Fred, in that you came out of it seeing something about yourself and how reality is linked in ways that are not normally seen in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In a sense you had a Vision-Quest of your own...because you did or did-not navigate the waters to sail. Just be very careful man with stuff you put in your body. Government Regulations don't make everything AOK but outside of Regs and Control can be more dangerous.
I think Artu was correct to mention Meditation's effects because when mastered even a little it does have an awareness benefit. For me, Life should not be too magical or reality suffers but I think it needs to retain some magic for us because when my perspective is all anti-magic it loses meaning beyond function.

Raenus said: I understand you had one heck of a journey, but you are aware that you were not in a coherent state of mind yes?
You are certainly not unique in what you experienced (claiming so would be fairly ignorant of you) it just struck you a certain way/resonated with you. Either A. LSD is the only way to understand the divine (side note, a religion based upon the ceremonial consumption of acid would be......out there), or B. you saw some drug induced craziness.
I personally know which I think is more likely.
i WAS in a coherent state of mind. i always AM, even when i take hallucinogens. you can doubt me all you want, but if you've never experienced hallucinogens or an otherwise altered state yourself, then you wouldn't know what you are talking about. reading about something like this, will not teach you anything. it's like reading about sex. until you're engaged in snowing, you don't really know jack. no offense.
you should understand, that you're talking to a skeptic. do you really think that i'm going to pull a complete 180 on everything i previously thought, because of a mere hallucination? i was on a different plane, man. i KNOW what i experienced. i KNOW what i saw. it was a rush of knowledge. there weren't any emotions even involved in the trip. i was in a purely objective state of mind.

I remember the similar experience that happened to me after I took an LSD mate, and was suddenly sucked down the toilet while sitting on the toilet,
I emerged in a fabulous fairy paradise where we walk in fields of gold and the rainbows blanket the sky,
but then all the fairies turned to snakes and the sky went red, and you'll forget the sun in his jealous sky, and the fields of gold turned to fields of viscous manure,
as I sank into the swamp of smelly sewage into the brown darkness mate, my surroundings swirled and shifted, and coalesced into a giant fedora hat, and *boing* mate, out popped a big fat bald grinning head from the bottom of it, which started contorting and laughing evilly and the kindly eyes went neon red, and the music from the climax of David Fincher's Se7en started playing, and the head boomed deafeningly, "'ello, 'ero",
then my line manager was like knock knock knock who's hogging that toilet cubicle, get the **** out, so I woke up with a buhh and staggered out of the cubicle without bothering to flush lol

i know you're poking fun, but i'll elaborate anyway. there are varying wavelengths of thought, just as there are varying wavelengths of sound and light. taking a hallucinogen(or meditating) can help you to achieve a different wavelength, or state of mind. it can also help you to achieve different planes of existence, if your meditation or hallucinatory experience is strong enough. you can be able to cross different dimensions, just like you are able to cross between the conscious and the subconscious. there is a wealth of knowledge that can be gleaned from altered states of being. that everyone doesn't partake of hallucinogens or meditate, especially people who like expanding their minds by whatever means(or people who seek knowledge or enlightenment), is beyond me. being afraid or overly skeptical of that level of life/knowledge-hack, is ridiculous. it's like refusing to read a book that contains secrets that you never knew even existed.
all i can say is, try lsd or psilocybin. take lsd around people(not strangers, if you are naturally shy or awkward), and take psilocybin around nature(i have yet to take peyote, but i'm not sure i even need to anymore. i think i reached the pinnacle of what there is to be reached through an altered state). you'll see what i mean, if you're not a dumbass who only likes drinking and killing brain cells in a stupor just because your job/life sucks(not meaning anyone here specifically, just in general).

Which is why I said that it was possible that LSD opens you up to reality or however you want to phrase it. I don't believe it, never will, but it is possible.
Just keep in mind that LSD is known for that kind of reaction.

lsd, and all hallucinogens, are known for altered states, yes. but i think you are not taking them as seriously as you should. you are writing them off as a mere source of entertainment, like booze or marijuana. which hallucinogens can be; but they can be so much more.

This kind of takes me back to when I was a little kid and heard adults on tv talk about how kids shouldn't play computer games because they would be convinced it was real and wouldn't be able to tell it apart from reality.

And I think you are taking them too seriously. To each their own. You are correct that I have no real personal experience to speak from though.

writing off what something is capable of, is speaking out against it(especially when they have no prior experience with it). and you can doubt what i experienced all you want; i didn't expect there to be a rush of believers, far from it, actually. it IS a little far-fetched, from an outsider perspective. and especially so, from someone who has never taken hallucinogens; or only took them like they were something fun to use, like a beer or something.
the only person i actually expected to believe me, is maybe celfious. because he has taken hallucinogens pretty regularly(from what i understand).

you're far oversimplifying what hallucinogens are capable of. they're not some toy drug. they are sacred to people who understand them and know how to use them; and for a good reason.
