Princess of Varn Scenario - AI Recruit/Built Nothing?
I just got Heroes 6 and started a scenario called A Princess of VARN. I'm not sure if I just have a bug or if the AI is truly this bad in the game. I'm almost 7 months in and the 2nd AI (Ragnar Ironfist) I came across only had 2 heroes.
The first one had 1 angel and a few other troops and lvl 4 and the 2nd one is lvl 2 with starting troops of crossbowman and sisters it looks like. I walked into the town without a fight and the town only had tavern built and nothing else. It was his only town. While my hero is lvl 15 with army of 50 Angels and 100+ and 300+ of everything else.
It's weird though cause the first AI's town was pretty much built up by the time I got there and his army was better than mine first time I saw it.
I love the graphics of this game but I already feel like quitting cause the poor AI. A pet peeve is seeing unprotected resources and artifacts lying scattered around the AI's starting area 7 months into the game? It's like the AI just sat there the entire game. Even the first AI with a good army didn't pick up any resources or artifacts. Really kills the enjoyment / immersion of the game.
I read online about how hard the AI is cause of cheating and spawning armies but I'm not seeing that at all in the latest version.

It's normal. From whatever reasons AI doesn't build anything or doesn't hire troops in this scenario (same case in "A tale of two Guardians").
I don't know, if some AI behaviours were disabled or some script doesn't work or just AI in H6 is so dumb, but it doesn't build, attack (beside initial part of map) or just act.

Thanks for the reply. Good to know. Guess I won't play that scenario then either. I started the first campaign after tutorial campaign on hard and noticed the AI did alright picking up artifacts and resources on the first mission so far.
Do you know if The Succession War's scenario has a working AI? I always loved that campaign and still have H2 installed to play it now and then. Would be cool to play it with H6 graphics if the AI is competent.

I don't remember but I think it doesn't have.
I also like H2 very much but I played this map only once, while Princess' or Guardians' maps I played few times - I just didn't like it even slighty to replay the map. I think its say it all about this H6 scenario.
