Two Paid Trips
If you were told you could go anywhere in the world for 2 weeks with all expenses-paid where would you go?
You get two trips
One with a friend?
One with your lady?
The friend-trip I would seriously think on Turkey, because I would want to visit ALL along the southeast coast. Of course I would ask Artu to come with me so we could leave with our heads still attached.
I would take my Princess to wherever she wanted to go, because I know she would seek out no metropolis + tourist-traps. If she chose a not necessarily a romantic destination I would create a spot somewhere in that locality. Maybe no initial plan could prove the best plan of all?

Lol, the SouthEast coast would be perfectly safe, even touristic, the southeast border these days however, not so much. We'd both have to duck and cover all the time. Or you'd get us into a marine base with the magic words: "I'm an American citizen."
With the lady, I would go to Paris, since I've never seen it and I'm curious about the whole "city of love" thing. I know it's a cliche but some things are cliches because they are classics.
With a friend, I might try New York, since I've seen it in so many films and it is kind of still the cultural capital of the globe. Tokyo would be interesting, too, I guess. London, Venice, Rome I've already seen.
Btw, this is tavern material. Why not just keep it here.

With the lady I'd be inclined towards either Greece or Spain, even Turkey actually, or simply the other side of Sicily. Venice, Paris or whatever are too overrated for me.
I'd actually love to go to Istanbul, but that might not be the perfect destination for a romantic trip...
With a friend I'd probably choose Prague, because we're going to get drunk, period.
