No, Mana Vortex works just fine.

I set it at 50% too. AI basically ignores it like it does in unmodded game, so no bugs are caused.

With ignore I mean: it does not run to Dungeon town just to get double points like it does with the Spring. But AI gets the bonus if it randomly ends up in a town where I built it.

Update: (First post updated again)

* Sorcery is down from +10%/20%/30% -> +8,33%/16,67%/25%
* The 4 elemental orbs are back from +30% -> +50%

Sorcery penetrates any defense stat, so +25% damage should still be pretty good and the orbs are back to how they should be.

Lately I have also been finding myself drifting towards original gameplay, so here are a few more new changes:

* Ballistics skill is back to normal. (I still think it sucks, but AI needs it.)
* Navigation skill is back to normal.
* Necropolis' Mage Guild is back to normal, which mean they can again learn Resurrection. (even though I think it's weird.)
* Blind is back to it's original AI value.
* Added a note about AI not being able to cast Scuttle Boat.
* Lowered the power of Hypnotize from 50 -> 40 Hypnotize also affects HotA's fangarms, so they became very powerful.
* Animate Dead is back to original spell cost.

Sorry, there is no download link.
The thread is mostly meant to inspire people (maybe even HotA developers) and perhaps discuss my changes.

There are also a few "problems", like wrong specialty icons for heroes with new specialties. (I never figured out how to change them) There are also a few more undocumented changes, that I probably should list before too long.

But with enough demand, I guess I could make a download link...

It is however pretty easy to change most of the stuff with TXT Edit and MMArchive, but some things are more complicated and require hex editing.

well, considering how many people have read this thread and commented, am I sure a lof of them would have liked to try out your changes!

So why not include a download link? should be easy to do... anyway, very interesting thread!

Updated the first post with the following changes:
* Wayfarer´s Boots are available again. (I still think they ruin Pathfinding, but so does many other things and if a hero has Pathfinding the boots can always be given to another hero.)
* Added Horn of the Abyss to banned artifacts. (It was always banned, but I have'nt mentioned it before.)
* Added a section with 6 new additonal (17th) heroes.
* HotA witch Kinkeria added to banned heroes.
* Bless down to it's original mana cost.
* Teleport mana cost is now closer to original mana cost.
* Mirth lowered mana cost.
* Misfortune lowered mana cost.

Update march 29th 2019:
* Changed mana cost of certain spells.
* Changed bonus damage of certain damage spells, Hypnotize, Animate Dead and Resurrection.
* Melodia, Inteus and Ciele all have their original specials back, even though I think they suck.
* Coronius, Torosar and Olema all have their original starting skills back, even though they are a bit unpractical.
* Made some minor changes to AI Value of Faerie Dragon and cost of Rust Dragon, Crystal Dragon and Azure Dragon.

* Changed starting skills of 17th hero Mutare and class and starting skills of Dracon.
* Changed starting skills of Coronius, Uland, Theodorus, Torosar, Olema and Yog.
* Changed specialties of Melodia, Ciele and Inteus.

Hey Phoenix, if you are sharing your file,
a Dropbox or Google FOLDER sounds fine, so you don't have to update the post's link, just the file locally in your computer inside that FOLDER.

People testing your edits may help you a lot,

Yes that's a good idea, if people are interested.
I fear a lot of people may dislike the Town Portal change though, it makes the game A LOT harder, but I like that.

Update may 29th 2019:
New feature: To provide more tactical options, spellcasting creatures are now able to cast spells on themselves. This includes Ogre Mages, Master Genies, upgraded elementals, (though Ice Elementals are already immune to ice damage spells and Energy Elementals are already immune to fire damage spells) Archangels plus Satyrs and Leprechauns. (This feature does not work for AI.)

Update september 21st 2019:
* Intelligence is nerfed to 20%/40%/60%. (It is still a strong skill in my game, believe or not.)
* Mysticism is nerfed to 3/5/7 mana per day. (Reflects the changes of Intelligence.)
* Mana Vortex gives 60% bonus mana, like Expert Intelligence.
* Bloodlust is back to original mana cost. (Slightly cheaper than before.)
* Curse is back to original mana cost. (Slightly cheaper than before.)
* Disabled the 17th. hero for all factions, except Conflux which only had 16 heroes. (They caused a bit of imbalance, even though some of them were quite interesting.)

Update january 25th 2020:
* Logistics, Intelligence, Mysticism and Estates are now the way they are in newest version of HotA. (Sadly I seem unable to change this.)
* Sorcery is down to 6,67/13,33/20. (Same as my version of Resistance.)
* Learning is buffed to 15/30/45.
* Disguise is now disabled.
* Dimension Door now belongs to Fire Magic.
* Added a new formula for Advanced and Expert Slow. (Since HotA made their +1 speed change, I had to change the formula as well.)
* Cure back to original spell cost.
* Dispel back to original spell cost.
* Scuttle Boat now belongs to Water AND Air.
* Animate Dead now belongs to Earth AND Air.
* Angel Wings are now disabled.
* Mana Vortex adds +50% mana, like HotA's version of Expert Intelligence.
* Ciele has her Magic Arrow specialty back. (I still find it pretty useless.)
* Inteus has his Bloodlust specialty back. (I still find it really bad.)
* Changed Inferno's chance of learning Disrupting Ray from 12 -> 14. (This was to even spell chances out, due to removal of Disguise.)
* Changed Fortress's chance of learning Disrupting Ray from 6 -> 4. (This was to even spell chances out, due to removal of Disguise.)
