Honestly buffing Ballistics would just make the AI even more annoying, as it almost always get this skill.
AI needs it, but I avoid it.

I don't think there are any bugs, if there are I find and fix them myself, as I play quite often.

Update june 29th 2021:
* Efreet Sultans, Energy Elementals and Phoenixes are again immune to Fire Magic.
* Melodia's specialty changed to Air Shield.
* Ash's specialty changed to Eagle Eye.
* Inteus's specialty changed to Fire Magic, which means he starts with Wisdom and Advanced Fire Magic.
* Tower and Conflux's Mage Guilds returned to normal.
* Removed the rule which allowed only one type of elemental to be summoned per combat.
* Minimum movement points on land is back to 1500.
* Slighty buffed Mass Slow to -41% +1 speed. (Still weaker than in HotA though.)  
* Changed the availability of Disguise. Mage Guild probabilities of Disguise are now 0 in all towns, except Cove. The probility of Disguise was instead added to Remove Obstacle.
* Fire Wall is now always 3 hexes wide.

Did you figure out where the drop shadow is at for Fire Wall or is it still only showing two hexes at basic Fire Magic?

It is not bad for the AI, AI needs it, but I don't.
If the AI actually understood how to defend in a siege instead of charging mindlessly out of the gate, I might have needed it.

Update august 31st 2021:
* Seafaring Academy is now allowed, but a Quest Gate requirering a level 15 hero is always present in front of it.
* Lowered the Quest Gate in front of Warlock's Lab to level 21.
* Green and Red Dragon buildings now require Mage Guild level 1, instead of 2. (Gold and Black Dragons still require level 3.)
* The 3 Archery and 3 Eagle Eye artifacts now work without having the skills.
* Dragonfly Hives now only contain Serpent Flies, one of the stacks have 50% chance to be upgraded instead.
* Crypt option 3 & 4 now also has 50% chance for one of the Skeleton stacks to be upgraded.
* Equestrian's Gloves and Boots of Speed now both give +400 movement points.

Update january 17th 2022:
* Reduced HP of Ammo Cart, Ballista, Cannon and First Aid Tent to 300.
* Melodia's specialty is back to normal. (and still as useless as always.)
* Inteus's and Ash's specialties are also back to normal (and still suck.)
* Coronius and Olema now also starts with Wisdom.
* At Expert and Impossible AI will not start digging for the grail, before it has visited 50% of obelisks on a map.
* Minimum movement points on land is now 1560. (Same as a speed 4 creature.)
* Warlock's Lab now only has a level 20 Quest Gate requirement.
* Pyramids now has a level 18 Quest Gate requirement.
* Equestrian's Gloves now cost 50% more gold. (3000 -> 4500 gold)
* Boots of Speed now gives 400 movement points instead of 600.  
* Disguise is back in Mage Guilds. (and still completely useless.)
* Vial of Dragon Blood is now banned.

Update april 19th 2022:
* Disguise is banned and slightly changed Inferno's and Fortress's chance to get Fortune, so all towns have 98 "spell probability points" instead of 100.  
* Expert Slow now works like in HotA.
* Expert Haste now gives +4.
* Fire Shield now becomes a mass spell at Expert Fire Magic.
* All AI values in regards to spells are returned to normal, except Forgetfulness, which AI is now able to cast with a chance of 20/20/50/50. (Same as Air Shield.)
* Luck cap is now +6. (Morale cap is still +3.)
* Skill specialists now gain +4% per level.
* Rampart and Dungeon again requires Mage Guild 2 to build dragons.
* Melodia now also starts with Air Magic.
* All Dungeon heroes starts with the same amount of trogs as in SoD, except Shakti, which now starts with 3 x 15-25.
* Boars, Mummies, Rust Dragons and Azure Dragons returned to their normal stats and costs.
* Trolls and Enchanters returned to their normal starting amounts on the map.

Other thoughts:
I feel neutral creatures are still a bit handicapped, since they lack a native terrain.
I would like to give them a native terrain, if I knew how or alternatively give them all +1 attack, +1 defense and +1 speed, but that also seems a bit strong...

If you are interested and provide me with all addresses of your patches, I will make a plugin for you for free (but it will take some time, as I work on other projects atm), so you will be able to make changes more easily. And, what's really important, people will see in real games, if your changes are good. PM, if you are interested.

About messing with bytes/opcodes in hex-editors. I have experience with it. For example, my TE patch for Heroes 1 was written in pure assembler, then I used FASM to generate code and then I was making "free spaces" for my jumps with the hex-editor for them to find their places in the executable. So, I share your pain, believe me What you have to understand is that a plugin, basically, is just the same thing, except that jumps and free spaces are provided by the patcher, i.e. you can concentrate efforts on your code, not on technical aspects of its implementation.

It's a field in the army class called bool OnNativeTerrain, but it's not yet commented with offsets, so I can't tell you right now what offset this field has. By changing this field you can control bonuses that native terrains provide.

Btw, if you doubt it's the same thing you can see what a hook is exactly under a debugger. Basically, it's near jump (E9 XX XX XX XX) to the body of the hook, which is a bunch of functions, one of which contains you own code translated from a high-level programming language to opcodes, others make sure that all registers, stack, etc. will be ready to call your code and provide an auto near jmp out to the original code. "Free space" is now located not in the original code of the game, but in the address space of a loaded plugin (a dll). So, you just have to write your own code not thinking about how it will be run exactly, not bothering by regiaters/stack state before and after your hook. It's all automatized. Morever, after you get familiar with HiHook, you will be able to use actual parameters of the game functions, not giving a snow about if a compiler rewrites them (of what you must be concerned every time you write LoHook's).

Also I must add that if you are interested in hex-patches only, you don't even need C++, there are bunch of methods to patch the game directly (for example, WriteByte(), WriteWord(), WriteDword(), WriteHexPatch() and so on). The most "complicated" part is to make your first plugin. If you manage to build it, you will forget about hex-editors (ok, they will stay useful for debugging purposes).

Update november 18th 2022:
* Ammo Cart, Ballista, Cannon and First Aid Tent all now have 250 HP.
* Disguise is back and still as useless as ever. (It's there to make it harder to learn essential spells like Blind and Visions and to not mess up the school of air too much.)
* Animate Dead is again permanent, without Earth Magic.
* Meteor Shower now costs 19/15/15/15. (3 mana more than the original game.)
* Town Portal works like in original game, but movement cost is changed to 800 at all levels.
* Ranloo's starting spell is back to normal.
* Learning now gives 10%/20%/30% extra XP. (I nerfed it a bit since Kinkeria is now allowed as a starting hero.)
* All towns now have a 17th hero. (Details might come later.)

I have made some other changes as well, which I might add later, if there is still some interest...

Why don't you want to make plug in out of it?
You are spamming your changes for past few years and when someone comes to you and offers you to implement these ideas for free, and you not accept it? or at least that's my impression of it
I don't get it, isn't the whole point of spending hours on writing these posts if not to get them implemented into game.

Can you really call it spamming, when I'm posting in my own thread every few months.
I have never made a plug-in before and besides, these changes are not final, they only reflect the current situation and I don't wanna annoy people with changing the plug-in constantly. But who knows it might happen someday...
Otherwise people can easily implement most of the changes themselves if they want or perhaps find some inspiration.

Well I found out about this topic because you were mentioning it multiple times in main Hota thread  / suggestion ideas.

Maybe spamming was not the right word. But you have made multiple posts about it (this topic has over 10 pages mostly with your posts) , so I don't get why not to do smth about it if you already have some knowledge of modding if you edit game by yourself and have plug In creator who wants to help you.
