crazy, weird, fun stuff you did as a kid

so, what did you do as kids that was crazy, weird, or just plain fun(for you particularly)?

for me, i liked drinking grape juice and pretending it was blood. or chewing that shredded gum and pretending it was chewing tobacco. or finding sticks shaped like guns because your mom was a jerk and wouldn't let you have REAL plastic guns(and then playing war or shootout). or going out in the rain and building dams in the gutters and pretending that little broken sticks were crocodiles that ate anything that got too close to the edge of the water. or pretending candy cigarettes were real cigarettes. or mixing and matching various parts of superhero toy figures to make your own superhero, or jack the ripper. or dressing up as jason vorhees or michael myers and pretending you were killing people in your room with the door shut because you didn't want to freak anybody out. or dressing up as axl rose from "guns n' roses" and singing along to the "appetite for destruction" album. or digging little pitfalls in the ground, putting sharpened sticks in them, and covering them with a thin layer of sticks crossed over one another to support the weight of the thin layer of leaves or pine needles to conceal the traps. or bending over reeds down by the creek and having your own primitive straw hut. or catching venomous snakes just to set them free again. or making fires. or just burning things with a magnifying glass.

well, that's all i can think of for now, how about ya'll?

Nice thread! Theres a lot to say to be honest but one thing pops in my mind instantly.

Me and a friend were kinda fascinated about the army, we played a lot with these plastic army men and we played 'war' with water guns or something. But we also used Bread-bags, tied a little rope to them and equiped them to the army men.....parachutes. We would go to a local flat and throw a small army of army-men (and even a tank with a big bag) down the flat and they would float so far, we had a lot of funny responds from people that were walking their dog or something (Oh no, germany's secret weapon!) I was always fascinated where the little guys would land and how far they would go.

Now I miss my childhood

Back in high school, me and a friend came in procession of a couple of beers. Instead of drinking them we put them in a classroom, in a bag with a note reading: "Want more? Call this number: " The number belonged to a teacher.

We used to build a fortress and also gave the girls tools and materials to build their own. So we could raid and destroy it

Traps were a given. Pitfalls and tripwires that released a tied cactusfrom above. Can you say cactus in the face?

We used to burn materials to see how each melts.

EDIT:

Oh yes, we also had rubberband guns! A straight piece of stick with a clotherspin in the end. Attach the rubberband at the end of the stick, extend and fasten the other end with the clothespin. Trigger-happy times ^^

I also used to love throwing wet napkin balls at the neighbour's building. Take aim, throw and *SPLAT*! We'd make bets whose napkin would fall first

And of course we'd target passing car windshields with waterbombs. From the third floor.

We used to drop tiny stones onto a bees' nest then run like mad (we ran but I never thought the bees would actually chase us so far, I was so wrong ^_^').

Kids will be kids We did that with wasps and man did we run. Years later we had evolved. I would splash the nest with cold water and as they came out between the bricks I would swing a fly swatter left and right. Every single wasp that came out would be knocked aside and stunned!

I regret that, it's not like the wasps ever hurt me. Well, not more than a few times anyways.

Which reminds me. Once I was using a makeshift torch to see something in the dark and a mosquito casually passes through and comes on the other side on flames. Was like lol wut. Unintentional but I hated those snows, no regret for the mosquitoes I've killed!

This reminds me. We used to throw old monitors down a cliff with a friend. We'd pull it in a cart all the way there, get as close to the edge and throw. Despite crashing on the rocks a few times till it got all the way down down, the monitor was surprisingly durable.

let's see, what else...

when i was a young toddler and up to my childhood, i tried to look up every skirt or dress worn by any female. i still remember my teacher catching me looking at her slip in 4th grade.

being mean to certain girls when i actually liked them. i once took a girl's shoe when i was in 1st grade and threw it out the window when the teacher had left for a few minutes(i had to go get it back or i'd get in trouble. i still remember going outside and getting it, and throwing it back in the window with all the kids watching me, then going back inside to class before the teacher came back. then my so-called peers told on me when the teacher came back. i would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those meddling kids!) also, chasing girls around and trying to kiss them. getting into fights with other boys over girls(this happened multiple times with one of my cousins. we gave each other black eyes a couple times, lol).

I stole a cross from a graveyard together with two other boys. I can't remember what age I was, but before primary school in any case.

at school it was either foursquare (anyone else?), or my best friends and i would just walk around at recess and play simple spoken role playing games.  "you wake up on a beach, wreckage all around, what do you do?"
its probably no surprise that i liked to read as a kid, so i had a pretty good collection of books.  my favorite was treasure island, i collected different versions.  this is probably why i love water heavy maps in homm so much.  my library was bigger than any of the other kids in the neighborhood, so i let them borrow.  i loved treasure maps so much, that i hid "treasures" around the neighborhood, and put maps in the books my friends would borrow.
they all got video games before me though, so i could only play at their houses.  when home i would make my own out of paper; games and consoles.  the gameboy cartridges had the label on one side, and a screenshot of the game on the other, so that when inserted into the paper gameboy it looked like you were playing the game.
i even made an entire zelda pen and paper rpg.
those were the days.

fred: youll be back, pm me if theres anything i can do.

ive been hibernating through the "frosty" age, is it safe to surface?

I played Heroes 3 with my friend. We we're really into the game at that time. Went to schoolyard and pretended we were units on the "board" and battled with sticks or imaginery spells.

We shot cans with an airgun (but in places no one was around to not hurt anyone).

I really enjoyed the fireside gatherings we did with a bunch of kids from my neighbourhood. I have these quite extensive patch of "no-mans land" near my home (nowadays it's being transformed into housing areas) and we had those local gatherings where we either capered around or drinked cheap wine But we never went overboard and cleaned he place afterwards (nowadays kids are like monkeys and leave a total mess, broken bottles and all).

I also went to those semi boy-scout camps with my friends (we weren't boy-scouts but we slept in tents and partially had a kind of a drill), that were located near sea.

But other then that we usually did your standard kid stuff.

I played fight with friends on the grass at the front of home. We specially played Fighting Masters. I liked to impersonate D I O the most.

I used to do a lot of paper stuff, Saint Seiya dolls, cars, buses, buildings, spells, scenery. Since I was poor, so I had to make do with what I had and paper stuff was cheap. ^_^
