right, I may have borked that part, but it was a bizarre way of presenting the info. I was certain there was a random factor on healing since there is in most H3 things, and the ingame display only shows the actual rate of healing up to the limit and not the potential.
Nope, no randomness, the tent will heal the top creature of a stack up to their maximum, or the maximum, or the maximum capability of the tent, whichever comes first.

Cure might be something to consider too, but it should only work with Expert first aid. This is also an indirect nerf to individual curses, most of which are already bad except blind (and except Berserk, but since tent moves last, it will be useless for removing it). It may be good to remove mass curses like Curse and Slow from a creature, tho.
Actually, you could probably work it depending on the level of the curse.

Saloon - creature bank idea

I got a silly idea for a creature bank:

Level 1: 33 stacks of 1 Halfling (upgraded) spread to make it as hard as possible to block multiple stacks. 13 of those stacks would technically start as yours, but Hypnotized for, let's say, 3 turns. Their 'giant-slayer' reputation didn't come from nowhere, did it?

Level 2: Same setup, but now it's Harpy Hags. Scratch, scratch.

Level 3: It's Sea Dogs this time. Leave your level 7s at home.

Level 4: Sea Witches. Bye, bye, Defense!

Reward: 2-5 Gunslingers and maybe +1 Morale until next battle. You also get to keep what's left of those 13 one-stacks of yours. +1 Morale until next battle on subsequent visits.

Imagine trying to take those without any magic. That would be the revenge of the one-stacks for all those times you let them die in your armies.
Then imagine you get to keep that (formerly Hypnotized) creature that finished your precious Angel or Wyvern or whatever.

Hm, could a creature bank summon Elementals during a combat?

Technically, it should be possible.

If Cons summoned a fresh stack of Griffins every turn (with 'summoned' flag so they don't count for xp and necro), then maybe mini wouldn't be so easy that you could sometimes do it with a day 1 army. I think such a change would be possible in WoG, no idea about HotA.

Also, if Banks could cast spells (and we don't know how hard it would be to implement that), then we could think about spells for all Banks. How about Arma every turn for Red Tower? OP? But you get level 7s in return!

Not sure what would've fit Experimental Workshops. Totally random spell on each Golem's turn? Maybe that would fit the 'experimental' theme? And since Golems are quite tough we probably wouldn't have to worry too much about variation in spell strength because if Golems survive many turns, then you're almost guaranteed some good and some bad spells.

If it's possible in WoG, it's very possible in HotA or regular H3 too. The bigger question is whether to do it or not, depending on the environment, of course.

I was more thinking of a creature bank where you fight exclusively elementals, and every turn it summons a new stack for every one you defeated in the previous turn, so you have to kill all the stacks in one turn to win.

So when taking such a Bank you would probably want to weaken all stacks to 1 Elemental and then finish off those 1-stacks in 1 turn.

Were you thinking about fixed numbers of Elementals or maybe of using the Hero's Power to determine their number?

I think thematically your idea would fit Elemental Conflux, that level 2-5 Conflux Dwelling, because it's already a place where Elementals are summoned.

Honestly those kind ofg wacky mechanics sound more like WoG suggestions than HotA suggestions.

Though I don't mind Creature Banks using spells, I think to make script them to "always happen with X" and require super specific strategies to defeat does not go with the vanilla h3 feel.

A fixed number per summon.

Well I was thinking of a creature bank, something like the Red Tower.

Another idea was, instead of summoning a new stack for each one destroyed, a new stack is summoned each turn regardless.

Few ideas:

* Revert the change of Upg. Magic Lantern requiring Magic University in order to be build.

- In short, I think there is no more need for this change. Experimental shop can no longer be cheesed, as the guards were changed along the years. I don't think being able to cheese the Churchyard is that important and even that object takes longer to beat now thanks to the changed guards. Against other neutral guards, there is the 100 round limitation rule, so it won't be able possible to cheat super valuable items because of this rule. I understand that this would greatly increase the movement of the Flux heroes, but that I think we can live with that, and playing as Flux in PVP will have a greater cost. Personally, I think the game should be rather close of the original state as it's possible and fun, and as I don't see this change being mandatory (anymore), it should probably be dropped.

* Change the Intelligence from 20-35-50% to 20-40-60%.

- I think this is somewhat inconsistent with what we have been used in the past. It is unheard that the Advanced skill is giving less % than the Basic skill does. Andra and Elleshar are nowhere near on anyone's radar, which is a pretty good indicator of them not being close of being too good even after this change would happen.

* Give players an option to choose how many heroes is being allowed in the map under certain players.

- I think this would greatly increase the difficulty against the AI, and it would make the cheating impossible on 1-hero templates. I also think it would make creating and playing templates with 2 or more heroes bit more interesting.

* Drop the "Undead in group" mismorale thing from the game.

- Personally I would like to see the units being mixed more together, but from some reason Necro has this ugly debuff, which basically forces their troops only be able to play with themselves. Even lore-wise this isn't making much sense, as you can have a nasty Hydra, evil demon summoner and a Devil himself within our group without noticeable drop to our troops' morale.

I think the morale undead debuff is because they are smelly AF, not because they are evil. That explains why other evil troops don't give such debuff.

Only the stench of decades old rotting corpses gives such debuff.
(and remember how golems and elementals are immune to morale? Well, it's because they can't smell them.)

I guess minotaurs lack a sense of smell too?

@Hourglass I agree with your first two points, Intelligence is already 20/40/60 in my game.
I guess the 3rd one could be interesting too, if you are into that.
I disagree with your last point, it would just make Leadership and morale even more useless or again increase the morale and luck caps to +6 (25% chance) and have graphics that supports it.

I think that besides the smell (I bet a Troglodyte smells far worse than a dusty skeleton), it's the natural repulsion the living have towards dead things plus the "innaturality" of these things being actually alive and walking besides you. Not to mention the whole unholiness of the magics involved with them.

Old bones can be quite stinky,if you ever have been in a graveyard... "the stench of death" isn't just a saying. Not to mention, considering most skeletons will have been just necromanted ingame, they ain't even that old.

Minotaurs don't lack morale - they have always max morale

Meaning they like every smell. Maybe they are smelling fetishists.

Was just working on some maps and noticed you cannot make "Have a specific secondary skill" a requirement for quest guards or seer's huts. With all the wonderful additions so far for the map editor, this would be one more I would greatly appreciate!

Can we have a Hanukkah based faction?

If I were to be the one to work on Horn of the Abyss I would try to add a faction which at least resembles the Maccabees from the story of Hanukkah along side with their adversary so that players could hypothetically reenact The Hasmoneans' rebellion.

Why would I want such a thing?

Because the story of Hanukkah is not given enough adaptations within the arts, at least anywhere besides Israel I suppose...One of the few movies it got in the US film industry was made by Adam Sandler after all so...yeah...

Sidenote; I envisioned that the Hasmoneans would had a dragon for their 7 tier that would have the body and mane of a lion, head of a mountain gazelle, wings of a dove, and iridescent scales for the upgraded form, I call it the Opal dragon. The Opal dragon would be on par with the gold dragon if not between the Gold and black dragon. Its weaker first form is called the white dragon and is white and periwinkle or white and chartruse.

Perhaps to make things fair one could give the Greeks a dragon or otherwise powerful 7 tier which would be on par with the Opal dragon and or equal to the Black dragon. You could also add an alternative form of the Minotaur to the Greek faction or otherwise good Greek mythological creatures.

They could even be used as for some of the altered monsters in the factory faction's side that seeks to control nature.

Is that request too much to ask for or is otherwise ridiculous or is it an interesting idea?
