If your post was about why Israel exists, I dont think anybody would disagree, as Sal already pointed out, nobody (at least in this thread) is questioning their right to exist as a country.
Which is important why? Important is, that both Iran and Syria are NOT. Important is, that there is no united Palestine side Israel could negotiate with, because they have split into a side which wants to compromise and a side that wants to eradicate Israel.

Not expanding but protecting your existing borders when necessary is also an option, isnt it. And please dont tell me Arabs will kill all Jews if we dont expand. No Arab nation will dare to attack a non-provocative Israel in today's world.

Colonizing is certainly not an efficent way to deal with Hamas, that would be using Hamas as an excuse and giving Hamas more excuse to attack you.

It isn't really. I'm just a bit sick of people mentioning USA's favoritism of Israel and ignoring UN's prejudice against it.

UN Security Council is 15 members. 14 of them condemn Israeli Settlements (US does not, it abstained from voting last time), so are they following the International law or is that just "bias" against Israel?

China, Russia, France, UK, Japan etc all of them biased?

something about that UN of yours , i for one does not accept it as usefull orgenstion, as it could not do anything in the border of israel - lebanon during second lebanon war. it is biased and useless anti israely orgenstion.

Quote:
The U.N, with 21 Arab States, another 35 Islamic states, and the 68 Non Aligned states, creates a whopping 124 voting block, which will always - ALWAYS - Single out Israel and rally around it, on any matter.

It gets support from several European nations that are traditionally biased against Israel on all matters concerning the Mid East conflict.

The U.N focus on Israel in almost half of its activity, is a result of the bashing of Israel being the one thing there will always be a 2/3 majority support of.
124 nations, at least, out a 193, will always support any resolution or motion against Israel.

Take that away, and someone might notice, that...
well...
The U.N pretty much achieves nothing.

@minion, yes , because russia, north korea have a trade deal with most of the arabic world (so its moneitery interst) as for uk and france, it is because there is majority of the voting personal is no longer christian but mostly muslimpro muslim .

From what I gather, Israel doesn't strike me as a shining example of liberty. An Israelite that speaks out against Israel's debatable actions most probably ends up shunned by the rest of it's society to the point of ending up jobless.

Btw, to people actually living in Israel, I have a question, what is the ratio of Jews that are radically religious and what is the ratio of Muslims that are radically religious. When I say radically, they don't have to be violent, I mean people who centralize their life around literalist interpretations of religious scripture.

According to the Central Bureau of Statistics 9% of the Jewish population a very religious ("haredim" - the ones that go around clad in black) and 4% of the rest of the population are very religious. However, the 4% takes into account Muslims, Christians, Druze and more. I don't know if I can narrow it down.

I had to share this, this is what Christians outside the bubble of US and Europe look like. Cenk resumes it well, this is sharia law for Christians.

How is this related to Christianity? El Salvadore is a secular state. Yes, it is a stupid law, but it has nothing to do with Christianity as a doctrine, you could argue that it is an interpretation of "Thou shall not kill" and frankly nothing more. While a lot of middle eastern states haveofficially the word islamic in their name (i.e: Islamic Republic of Iran).

Also, that's a video from young turks, a very "reliable" source of information.

Islamic Republic of Iran is not an Arab state.

Cenk Uygur is a regular liberal journalist btw, just because he's of non-christian ethnic origins, doesnt indicate he's biased against Christianity. With that logic, all Western news about Islamic countries are biased then!
