I recommend to learn about it more. There are many ways to approach it (you can like me take an interest in the lore). Or play games. I think their influence is pretty deep, for one it is universally known that Warcraft/Starcraft was inspired by the franchise.

Speaking of TTS,

here is a sample from the guy who does the soundtrack for the show

The same guy also does 40k Pop Idol songs. And it's the most kawaii thing ever.

The song you linked kip is pretty good.

But imo the best piece of music that fits W40k ideally is this one here, especially when it hits the 1:37 mark (it's the theme from "End of Hope" animation).

Lol, I actually bought the new Core Rules Age of Sigmar 2nd edition book for like equivalent of 15 dollars (even if you take into account that GW takes less money for the books if you're buying from Poland it the retail price is still an equivalent of around 43 dollars ).

You're probably asking me why I'm buying a core rules book to a "garbage" WF wannabe? Weeeell, I actually started to take interest in the setting and like it so far. The book is 320 pages long and... 220 of this is "fluff" (as in lore).

Maybe I'll grab that Seraphon starter pack at some point

Btw Kip, maybe you're aware, but there's this guy who makes minatures that can be used in games like AoS etc called Artisan Guild. He sells his projects that can be used by 3D printers. There's a gaming club in Poland, Warsaw which makes them on demand and sells https://fgb.club/wydruki-3D/Artisan-Guild-wydruki-3D. They're a bit cheaper then GW minatures and some look really dope.

Yep, I kinda discovered the guy by watching MajorKill who advertised his Patreon as having cool ass "Lizard(wo)men with actual tits". Then on Allegro (our very own Amazon/Aliexpress counterpart which is godtier compared to those two s*itholes) I noticed there's this polish company who makes them.

I don't know if buying lizardwoman waifus with tits counts as being furry, but I might actually consider it due to this running joke that I'm actually interested in reptile waifus, which is OF COURSE a historical misconception. On the other hand I don't want to let down my fans.

Btw you can wait until our zloos reach the level of worth below toilet paper which is actually pretty probable in the nearest months.

Man, I've been out of the fandom for a bit, but the rumbles that WFB is going to make a glorious return (with Kislev as its own thing too!) and the new DLC for TW:WH 2 is really getting me back in. I have been out since... what? Three or so months before the release of 40k 9th edition? Have I missed anything particularly juicy?

Guess they're pretty much occupied with the 9th edition Codexes preorders. Some cool sets if you want to lash out a lot of money:

https://www.games-workshop.com/en-PL/Necron-Overlord-Collection-2020?_requestid=87065

They're also releasing new supplements (with some new minatures I guess) for a couple of the chapters like Blood Ravens or Deathwatch later this year. And a new codex for Death Guard.

Any solid info on the Kislev thing (outside of rumors ofc)? I mean, Winged Hussars and cavalry on bears would be pretty dope to see in TW:W II.

Ahhhh, so GW is still fully on the choo choo train of "Infinitely more marines, but more superhuman, and even more spooky scary skeletons... but in space this time!" Because of course that's... what GW... is doing. *Looks at the past few years in AoS and all of the undead releases. The dozens and dozens of them that slowly began looking more and more like Necrons until... the Ossiarch release of literally "Oops, all Litch Guard: The Faction."*

There was the secondary teaser where they showed the art of the winged hussars, one stinger for bear cavalry, and then a nice amount of concept art for the ice queen's guard (some frosty, heavy-armored-looking badasses, from what we've seen.) But that was for the GW Table Top, not for TW:WH 2... Though to be fair, at this point Kislev will probably just be a base faction in TW:WH 3, and released at around the same time as GW's return to the Old World.

Also: Seems like those pre-release links are region-locked, because when I swap to shipping to USA, I go from 29 pre-releases that I can order, to 8.

Well, let's face it: Space Marines are simply what sells the most. But when it comes to Necrons... I think they started to flesh out this faction only recently: it's simply the direction in which they're taking the narrative, Necrons have some kind of big agenda after the return of Silent King and are activating the Black Monoliths. So far Necrons were this kind of obscure "Terminator" race, but I belive characters like Anrakyr or Trazyn have become fan favourites due to Black Library books... it's simply Necrons moment to shine.

But they're actually a pretty dope W40k faction: they have long history that practically precedes even the Chaos Gods themselves (and C'Tan are even more evil motherf*ckers then Ruinous Powers, because they even devour each other) and are absolutely ruthless in their conquest.

When it comes to Undead in AoS hmm, actually last we've seen anything big for Undead was the Necroquake, and the battletome wasn't updated since early 2018... Besides Gnomes, there is this fan theory that AoS is placed in a pocket dimension that is actually a Slann/Old Ones research "facility". That would explain why Chaos Gods share similar look and units between those two settings (W40k I mean). It remains to be seen how they plan to go back to the traditional W: Fantasy setting but they say it's something "big".

Well, the Ossiarch were released in 2019, and they make a total of... 4 death factions? Let's see... in release order, we have: Legions of Nagash (all of the legacy WFB undead models, and is actually, like, 5 factions) Nighthaunts (First new faction,) Flesh Eater Courts (Ghouls + Vargheists + Terrorgheists + New hero models) and then, last but certainly least, Ossiarch Bonereapers. While Order may have more new releases over-all... that includes Stormcast Eternals, Fyreslayers and Sylvaneth, who were made at the start of AoS, and among the rest, the only ones that have narratively had as much impact as any of the undead factions (... actually, any narrative impact at all) were the Idoneth Deepkin (who I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the lore of) and the Daughters of Khaine.

And that's two elven factions.

And that's awful.

Because Seraphon are definitely more important than some poncy elves.

*Cue Lord Kroak rearranging the stars in the heavens in order to have himself a big, toady chuckle at the Skaven.*

But anyway, we definitely need to see more Old World stuff. Especially if it means that we get back Vlad and a real damned Settra... Not the stormcast eternal reborn wannabe that shares a similar name, I'm talking the real ETERNAL KING SETTRA. WHO RULES. HE DOES NOT SERVE!

At this point I think they're making AoS into it's own thing if they decided to ressurect Warhammer Fantasy. But the funny thing is that it might turn out people will flock back to Fantasy and AoS will be sidelined (who knows?).

I personally miss Norsca (Forge making some ridicioluosly prized Mammoths or Fimir does not count), AoS could use some ruthless barbaric human faction.

Ah, yes. The "Oops, all giants" army book. I wonder if they have full new models for the jotun there, or if it's just going to be more modeling options for the various giant-like models. Maybe we'll see some giant wolves that are pets, or something. IDK. Having a sword-wielding wolf and getting to model Siv from Darksouls isn't something I would object to.

I'm also wondering about this. I read somewhere that the book will be about Giants (as in Gargants as those are called in AoS) and other Monsters. So far only Giant "minatures" were shown. The interesting bit is that Gargants work as a mercenary force, so you can either field a whole army or use them as supplement in other factions, as there are rules for that. Either way they need to think of something to fill out 90 or so pages of the Battletome... I'm not that keen or Giants themselves as these never were something of interest to me even in Warhammer Fantasy (just oversized fat guys), but there is potential in this whole "spawn of Godbeasts/Zodiac beasts" bit. Or they will go the easy route and simply add variants like Frost or Fire Giants etc.

Well, giants in general are just upscale ogres. Though in AoS, the ogres are more prehistoric barbarian tribes (with some Mongolian flavor sprinkled in there) than they are just big people. They tend to focus more on mammoths, giant hogs and sabertooth cats as their "domesticated" critters because of that.

The gargants seem to have a more nordic/ jotun lore basis for them. So things like a skin-thief giant, elemental giants, and domesticated giant serpents and wolves are something that I think we could see from them? At least, if we're getting anything other than "Only giants, forever."

Yeah, I didn't link the other models they revealed. From a painters perspective they are one hell of a treat. But for me the factions is rather uninteresting so far, because while the models are pretty spot on, I dislike everything that has anything to do with overgrown, disproportionate, half-naked hobo's...
