I got a similar impression around the end where he tries to explain in layman's terms the opportunity cost of rebellion and the factors that go into it.

Makes you wonder why being in politics, from the past to the present, can be double-edged sword, especially after watching the follow-up on dynasties. I wouldn't be surprised if any current government turns into an episode of the archetypal American daytime soap opera, albeit with slightly more overacting.
