Fair enough, but keep in mind English is not exactly in the same position with Italian or Spanish. It's the global lingua franca (franca, oh, the irony!) on a level never seen before, especially after the internet. You must be quite isolated to resist to this completely, where as you must be especially interested in the other ones to use them on a daily basis. For instance, your typical tourist will most likely try to communicate in English first, even if he is Spanish or Italian.

I would say "in american", not english (effect is same but I think not same causes). Imo we are overwhelmed by American culture in our everyday common actions -movies, listen to music, buy stuff, buy food, internet interactivity, and this is a state of things you probably will meet everywhere except North Korea. So it is understandable the first language you use outside matches the culture you experience as universally predominant.

I'd say blizz's intention was to throw in a random line. Would you like to argue about this?

I just felt like sharing something random.

The Lion-hearted wasn't really brutal when compared to his contemporaries. For modern sensibilities he is but then again we get offended over room temperature beer, or at least I do.

The crossbowman who shot him was on the wall using a frying pan as protection. Richard began clapping at the man, after which he took the bolt in the shouldar. He would pardon the soldier of the deed prior to his death at 42 (which was ignored. The soldier who dealt the blow was later flayed alive and hung).

In his earlier campaign during the Crusades, several of his ships ran ashore on Cyprus in a storm. When Richard diverted from Jaffa (Palestine) to retrieve them, the men were being held prisoner by the Greek rebel who had control of the island. The response? Invaded Cyprus. Several aggressive maneuvers using ships that forced the Easterners inland. When the ruler, Isaac, hastily sued for peace he stated in the terms not to be clapped in irons. Richard agreed and later clapped him in sterling silver instead.

Definitely one of the more entertaining monarchs of his time. He could troll with the best of them.

You see? I share information that is entertaining to read. Artu spent the last page complaining about French people speaking French.

Now then, more mead. Let us continue our revelry. Who knows, later tonight, I might even show a little bit of ankle.

Nothing's quite as funny as trolling yourself though, last year i wrote an essay that was extremely critical of St Louis IX (who at the time i held in the highest regard, he had an Arturian kingly quality to him).

Right, he indeed turned 41 (not 42, he died before his birthday in 1199), not 33 as I claimed earlier. The age of 33 was when he led the army in the Holy Land.
